  1. I think that if they were to pay all of their part-timers during the shutdown, that would make their fiscal situation worse.
  2. To be fair, CF and SEAS stocks have plummeted in the past few weeks as well....CF seeing a sharper decline that SF did. Glad to see you post, hoping COVID-19 isn't wrecking your operations like it is mine.
  3. Perhaps. However, their PR teams are, how should I say it....lackluster. At least for the NJ park.
  4. (Politcal BS that has no place in the discussion.) And how well is Italy doing with their "free" government-run healthcare-for-all in this situation? Please take your opinions on to the functionality of health care in the US elsewhere.
  5. I understood you the first time. So long as they let the ticket be valid another day that they are not closed, or let you put the purchase price toward other future purchases, no they are not obligated to issue a refund by any federal law. Individual states/counties/municipalities in some areas may have ordinances prohibiting such behavior, but it's not federally controlled in the US.
  6. It is what is is. Plenty of industries do not offer full refunds (common in the hotel sector, virtually universal in low-price air travel); it's all part of the fine print when you buy your ticket.
  7. Delaware High School sports are behind the times. My employer was scheduled to host the state HS basketball championships, but told the league that they'd have to play without spectators, so they opted to move the event instead.
  8. King's Dominion says hi, opening a week before SFA. Unless I'm mistaken, they both open March 28th. I stand corrected....for some reason I thought it was the weekend before. My apologies
  9. King's Dominion says hi, opening a week before SFA.
  10. Flight of Fear's queue outside of the building is the same as it was the day it opened. The additional switchbacks that it once needed that have since been removed were inside the building, in the UFO room.
  11. Really? You're not worried about it? Then why do you talk about in every single post you make?
  12. Meh...I never rode the Crypt and I won't ride a 4D, so net change of zero for me.
  13. I read that article too. The trick is what KBrylczyk said: those that are similarly priced have hotels, and are doing so to keep the amount of non-hotel guests to a minimum, since their bread and butter are the overnight stays. Those that do not have hotels are almost universally substantially cheaper that the one at the AD, which, also does not have a hotel.
  14. It's possible. NJ does have the greatest ratio of lawyers to residents in the US, after all.
  15. I swear you can't make this stuff up. Edit: These tickets are also subject to a "if we increase the price later you pay more" nonsense that NU is doing.
  16. You know you're in the SFDL thread when someone posts about them building a freezer LOL.
  17. You take your sacrilegious shit right on outta here LOL. Next thing you'll be asking for Beast to be RMC'd.
  18. Personally I'm shocked. Shocked, I say! You'd think with the "retail component" supposedly opening in a few weeks, there'd be some more press about it...but nope, nothing, not even from the AD's paid apologists over at NJ.com. And what about that waterpark? This tragedy of errors cannot get worse.
  19. Technically, it was Premier Parks before they bought Six Flags, and they promptly spent as little as possible on the park and offloaded it a short 12 years later.
  20. Respectfully disagree. Dragon Coaster is quite good and a landmark, their Derby Racer is awesome and one of two left in the US, they've got a log flume and a whip, a bunch of other classic rides, not to mention the dark rides. Let's not forget that it's $30 for an unlimited-rides wristband. The only thing NU has on it is the Takashiba clone, and MAYBE their drop tower. Sorry, but in my book, two rides are not worth $60-70.
  21. No it's not worth it. If you're there in the summer, Coney Island and Rye will be infinitely better options.
  22. So what were people saying about this place being run by intelligent businessmen? LOL.
  23. Kennywood does in fact offer a skip-the-line pass; it's called "VIP Tours." Despite the name, it's not a guided tour through the park, but instead a set of time-specifc exit passes for each coaster. It also used to be stupidly cheap (I think it was $20 back when I was there in 2017). I can't comment on crowds since my one time there was an overcast weekday in July and it was a ghost town.
