  1. Just back from the UK where I got to visit New Pleasureland at Southport. Gauntlet is coming along well, they had the loop started and also the lift hill was nearly complete and the new colours are looking good just freshly painted. Most of the track parts are in the old car park at the rear of the park, just out in the open. No security at all I was able to walk straight in. Should have tried to take a gift or something. Imagine if something went missing they6 would be left with a half finished coaster. Also there will be 4 credits once Gauntlet is finished for all the credit whores out there. There will be the new Gauntlet, Caterpillar coaster, The Drachen coaster is just a clone of Caterpillar with a Dragon instead. Also there is Ghost Chaser, small kiddie coaster and they have squashed this one in at the side entrance near the go-karts. The park was very quiet on Monday evening when I visited, but I sure it kicks off a bit later. Ride ops looked very bored all just sitting around. But I was impressed with what they had there, although it is very squashed with the rides on top of each other. Once I get the photos edited I will post them here.
  2. Thats the look they were after I think. Its themed in that way to make it look all dirty and rusty.
  3. Favourite Park: Port Aventura Fav Coaster: Stampida Worst Coaster: Diablo
  4. Great TR, looked like a mini TPR with all those people. Must have been a good laugh that day. Good ride count and nice photos too. Yeah Air and Nemesis seem to be always getting stuck on the lift hills, happened to me when I was there a few years back. Its strange on air becasue of the flying position.
  5. I have a few shirts from some parks and also a TPR shirt. But usually end up wearing them when I'm not attending a park. If the design and look of the t-shirt is good, I would buy and wear, but there are some rubbish designs out there that I have come across.
  6. Another great update Martyn, nice photos. I'm wondering if they are going to rename Gauntlet seeing as there are repainting it. Looks like it is going in the ground under where Traumatizer was, this will give a nice view of the coast I hope from the top. How long will it be until Traumatizers loading station is demolished.
  7. http://www.fantasyisland.co.uk Out of the big parks in the UK, Fantasy Island's website is pretty bad. It looks the same as it did a few years ago, very confusing, lots of info out of date, photos are bad too.
  8. Nice Report , Liseberg looks amazing, hoping to get there soon. Gothenburg looks a great place to visit too.
  9. Just mostly European sports for me as the only US sport I can see is Nascar. Soccer: Hearts Fc, Scotland Moto GP: Marco Melandri Nascar: Juan Pablo Montoya
  10. Great updates Robb, enjoying checking them every morning . I can't believe the amount of people on this one around 100, and I thought it would be crazy enough with the amount that were on the Mini-Europe Trip, looks like everyone is having a great time.
  11. Ouch!! The trains look great but those retraints are going to hurt, wonder if there are going to put padding on eventually as they are going to sqeeze into the stomach area. Some of those riders look like they are in pain.
  12. Nemesis Inferno has a nice colour scheme I think, kind of wine in colour. Also I like The Odyssey with red and white track.
  13. Ah what a shame it would have been nice to get another credit. But I will enjoy the others, as there is so much packed in there now. At least I will have the chance of seeing the construction take place, and I definitly doing a bit of snopping around too, cheers.
  14. I'm worth $5425 .
  15. Nice report Martyn, wow how many photos did you take, brilliant . They are getting good crowds by the look of it, I'm sure the nice weather helped a bit too. Good spot on the Gauntlet track, I heard about it the other day and haven't seen any other shots yet. How long do you think it will take them to put the track up?I'm heading over to Southport in about 10 days and hope it will be operating by then.
  16. I've got my tool box at the ready, give me a call when its going ahead. We can save a bit on all those labour costs .
  17. 5/10, tough going that quiz . Seemed most questions related to Denmark, didn't realise how many parks they have and how much history they hold, interesting.
  18. Cheers Jeff, Going to get them downloaded now, amazing photos again. Have to try this panoramic style when I'm at a park next.
  19. Amazing photos Jeff, those Dragon Khan pics are brilliant. Big question I suppose everyone will ask is, how did you get these photos to turn out so good. Can't see any joins at all. Were you using a tripod?
  20. Great report and great photos of the Pyschodrop, also nice to see the constipated knight turned back up . Nice to see Camelot looking after the crowd who turned up for the launch. Yeah the trains looked pretty good, although those side panels to stop people putting their arms out ruin it a bit, but I understand why they have to be there.
  21. Great report Kumali and nice photos, Knightmare looks fantastic, I can't wait to ride it. The physco drop looks amazing and really forceful. I bet it was worth getting up that early for.
  22. Great photos of Walibi and Vertigo. Vertigo looks amazing and its getting good reviews from the public. It must be view up there when you are lifted to the top. I missed out on it when I visited there last month as it was operating on and off for the day.
  23. Great TR of the New Pleasureland. Yeah looked a bit empty in those photos, but I remember seeing the shots from last weekend and there was a good crowd there. Once the word has spread and the weatehr improves I'm sure it will be much busier. I'm wondering if they are going to build permanent attractions to replace the travelling rides once they have been removed after the season, or will the land be used to just to house travelling funfairs . But I think they have done a good job so far, but its still not a match to the original Pleasureland.
  24. Awesome review and photos . The theming in the hotel and the surrounding buildings are wonderful, really feels like you are in another country. Love those painted ceilings. Europa park looks very impressive, Germany really has some great parks.
  25. Nice TR Carl, another review of Thorpe packed with crowds of people, just like the one from last week. Luckily most of the attractions ended up running before the day was out.
