Or give Irfanview a try, i find it very user friendly, when its comes to resizing and reducing quality to a lower KB. http://www.irfanview.com

Great shots of PMBO in the snow. Yeah definitley not the best coaster in the park, but its ok. Great first drop, but more of a landmark for Blackpool I'd say.

Oakwood Discussion Thread

Yeah a very sad story. I remember hearing about this and forgot about it. Takes a good while for these cases to be heard it court. It felt weird that someone had died on the ride that I had been on a year before this. And its lucky that Hydro is still operating, I remember it was shut for a long time after the incident. I think the right verdict was reached. -

Ah, good old Cadburys, cant believe it $2.25 for a flake???? I can get you a good deal......... I guess they don't do them in the US. The English theming looks great with the shops and the pub. And, thanks the TR updates guys, looks like a great trip. Kidtums looks like she is loving it. -

Cheers, Cool, great to meet another person with some Irish roots. Yeah Irelands grand, not a great place for parks and coasters, mainly have to head to the UK to find some parks. I think with the theming, they might have been trying to go for an aztec look, some the buildings around Hurakan Kondor have that kind of appearance. -

Hi, About your questions, unfortunately I did'nt get to visit the water park, it looked tempting especially as it gets warm there in the park. It was located off the the side of the park and you can see the slides from the outside of the park. If I had a choice I would pick the theme park over the water park, I think most people there are staying onsite in hotels and would have a few days to visit both. Hope this helps. -

Hi Louise, Glad you liked the TR. I'm afraid to say I chickened out of Huraken Condor........I'm terrible for heights, and I've stopped doing drop tower rides after a bad experience in Southport. Ended up just taking shots of it instead. Yeah, you will have to try and get some pictures with Betty, also she had a China Man with her all the time. She kept on doing funny poses. -

Hi Guys, Glad you all liked the photos, took a while to resize and get to under 150KB, but they came out fine, I think?? Yeah amazing park, one of the best I've seen for theming. Yeah Stampida was running smooth, it was my first time on it so I don't really know how it was before. But I heard people saying it was rough before, but was smooth this time, plenty of room in the train. The new ones have a little camera pointing towards both riders and then they are selling then on dvd at the photo stall after the ride. Did see anybody buying then though and they didnt even have then advertised. And the question about Betty Boo, her eyes do move.........it was crazy when she turned up, there was nearly a riot. -
Hi, This is my first attempt at a Photo TR so forgive me if there are some mistakes. I just got back to Ireland from a few days break in Barcelona, in which I could'nt miss the opportunity to visit Port Aventura. The park is located near Salou, south west of Barcelona, which is about about 80 mins by the train from Central Barcelona. I found the park to be well layed out, with easy access to all attractions. You could use boats or park railway to navigate the seperate areas, but I choose to walk, as I found this easy enough once you get to know the directions from following the park map. I also wanted to check on the progress of Furius Baco, which is the first ride that hits you when you enter the park. The track looks amazing with it sweeping across the water around some ships. There was a good deal of work still going on with the ride, with the station and surrounding grounds still needing landscaping. I only saw the train once while I was having lunch nearby, but it looked very impressive. From the park map the track does a figure of 8 formation with the station of the right hand side of the track. So it looked like a few more weeks work before it opens. Highlight of my trip, meeting Betty Boo. Close up of Tami Tami, you could nearly touch the track from here. Dragon Khan getting another appearance in, it can be seen from everywhere. Tami Tami. Amazing theming here in China. Train tracks passing under the footers. Going through one of the corkscrews, this pasted so close the the footpath. The mighty Dragon Khan. Welcome to Mexico, this place was fun, all the staff were dressed up in traditional Mexican dress. Welcome to the Far West. This was like the Grand National put on fast forward, unreal. Mmm, red or blue???? Finally my favourite coaster in the park. Strange one this ride, 3 lift hills???? View of Dragon Khan from Diablo. No wonder so many people bare foothed after this drop. Worlds biggest palm tree compared to Hurakan Condor. The train skims the water at this point. Peeking over the fence for a closer look. The X type trains. Work being carried out on the station of Furius Baco. What this I see in the distance? The amazing Hurakan Condor in the distance. Entrance to the park.

Hi All, I've been visiting the site for a few years now for the great reviews and photos, but most importantly for the comedy, especially on the trip reports. So I've finally decided to join up. I am 27 and from Dublin, Ireland and have been into Theme Parks for the past 4/5 years. I have mainly visited parks in the UK and also some in Europe and the US too. My favourite type of coasters are woodies. Being from Ireland, you get used to traveling alot, especially when you want to go on a coaster. There are some flat rides and the occassional ghetto funfair turns up a couple of times a year. Bit of a pitty but luckily the UK is very close. So, I hope thats enough for you all, and I look forward to joining in with the forums. Emmett
