  1. Batman and Robin officially have 15 days to get themselves open. I want some of that when I'm up there
  2. I'd say Harry Potter...but I already saw it
  3. I used to go to that pier when I was a kid...going back this summer and hitting GAdv
  4. I'd really like to see a source on that. I know the Disneyland and Disney World Monorails are a little different, but I used to work in Monorails at Disney World and the only thing that will go on the monorail track is a monorail, so I don't know how anything would be towed. The max speed of the monorails at Disney World is 55 MPH. The max speed they are driven is at 35 MPH. They have very strict rules as to how fast they are driven. What is your source for this information? I did some research myself and couldn't find anything to support it.
  5. I think this is a trick question. I can't find anything there that goes faster than California Screamin' so my answer is Soarin' Over California...as you're supposed to be flying. When they opened Disneyland in 1955, they were running behind. What did they do the night before opening that allowed the first guests to leave behind, shall we say...an impression?
  6. I'm going up to SFGAdv and I'm a little nervous about fitting. I'm not a particularly big guy around the middle, I'm just "big boned" so to speak and I'm tall and have long legs. If I don't get onto El Toro I'm going to just get lyposuction there. But, I fit into Gwazi and all the regular sized seats on all the Orlando B&Ms with a little room to spare, so...hopefully I'll be fine.
  7. What club were you guys at? -Robbie "I Can't Believe There's a Club in Orlando I Don't Recognize" Simmons
  8. I'm going to be riding that in 2 and a half week
  9. Ohmygosh. Please tell me you guys are joking...
  10. I was singing that year Christmas Eve 2003.
  11. Yeah, he's here every year. I've seen a few readers there. Robby Benson was very good, and funny. Edward James Olmos was very good as well. The great JC (Jim Caviezel or however the hell you spell his name) was TERRIBLE.
  12. I disagree. The "Sweet Child o' Mine" solo is a simple pentatonic lick. GH makes it so much harder than it really is. Also, they put in stuff that doesn't exist in the songs "For instance, listen to the GH version of "Surrender" by Cheap Trick and then the real version.
  13. What day were you guys at IOA? Mike and I were there Tuesday.
  14. Okay, two things... 70 MPH...really? Really? Seriously Cypress Gardens, don't lie. And, how on earth are they going to open in a week when they don't even have the lift motor installed or even the lift hill track completed?
  15. Mike (KrakenKing) and I are looking at Europe next year.
  16. In my experience, the Disney-komas are pretty smooth. The kiddy rides are kinda give and take. The worst I've been on (also the worst coaster I've ever been on period) is Shamu Express at Sea World Orlando. Not only was the ride extremely rough, the cars are not designed for adults and the fin that sticks up on the seat may have killed my ability to have children
  17. Is that the blue glass building right on I-4, with the incomplete, open, parking-garage-ish lower levels? We've been passing by that for years, and have always wondered what the deal is with it! Yeah, that's it. It's the SuperChannel SuperCenter. They don't have the funding to finish it. It's just a big ol' building. Sitting there. With nothing to do. I think HRC or GLAAD should rally up some funds and buy it just for sheer poetic irony.
  18. My intamin virginity is next . I knew you guys were having fun then, but the pictures are awesome. And I still can't believe the giraffe put it's head in your sunroof. By the way, that picture where he's on the phone...he was talking to me. The conversation went something like this: Me: Hello? Mike: Oh. My. God. Me: That good? Mike: Oh. My. God.
  19. By water park, do you mean Raging Waters, or did they open something new since I was there like 10 years ago? Last time I was at Great America, Invertigo had just opened!
  20. The structure of the building is there, but it is, for the most part, incomplete. From a distance it looks like a finished building, but, up close you can tell that a) it's way not done and b) no one's been working on it in close to a year.
  21. At least SuperChannel isn't involved. Has anyone seen that huge building they've been trying to build here in Orlando (Altamonte, actually)? That's their glass house to throw stones from.
  22. Quite honestly it does not matter to us that we visit the park during Gay Days. That's awesome. More people should be open minded about that. I went last year and all I heard was regular guest bitching about all us gays.
  23. The Halloween stuff will definitely be going on by then. I, in agreement with several above, would skip Cypress Gardens. It's going to be out of your way and the park sucks. If you're going on week days (I'm too lazy to look at a calendar), you can do IOA and USO in one day. Disney...you can pretty much do in one day. If you're staying in Orlando, BGA is a whole day. You could almost do Sea World in 1/2 day, but if they're still doing Shamu Rocks then, stick around for it, because I got a preview of the new show and it's pretty stellar.
