  1. ^Probably an Alvey they are so special. I have to agree it is an unusual choice for a new coaster given that Storm Runner is roughly similiar, especially in the eyes of non coaster enthusiasts. Still, it should be a good coaster.
  2. Backdoor Boys, er, I mean Backstreet Boys - I'd like it that way if they covered the The Sound Of Silence for the rest of their career. Ha, ha - an Australian interviewer at a press conferenece actually referred to them as the Backdoor Boys, they were not amused.
  3. ^ Especially some of those Eastern European ride op girls at Cedar Point.
  4. No, not at all. Will John McCain win?
  5. Here Without You - 3 Door Down.
  6. You know why Tom Cruise runs in movies? > you know the rest...
  7. ^Maybe Robb could get into Shapiro's ear, California needs more airtime.
  8. Ditto on the ejector seat on Maggie, it is brutal you need to brace yourself. I put a couple of newbies in the ejector seat and the guy just about got neutered.
  9. This looks awesome, sometimes those tight small coasters are an absolute blast.
  10. This is something that really annoys me about Cedar Point, they make it really hard to get there from the mainland (so to speak) because they want their prescious parking fee, and you can't walk there on the causeway. Hotel Breakers is definitely good value in the sense that you only need transport when you are arriving and leaving. The cheapest option is definitely greyhound to snadusy and then cab to Cedar Point. Note Cleveland Greyhound is not in the nicest part of town. Another option which would be better for 3-4 people would be to get someone to pick you up from the airport and drive you there, places like Tom's Cruz offer a sedan door to door with a driver for around $70 plus tip.
  11. Happy birthday little KT, she's probably already got enough frequent flyer points to fly to the moon.
  12. A lot of UK people go to Orlando for their theme park fix, I imagine Dubai is a lot closer to the UK than Orlando, so that's one market they will get some serious competition in.
  13. I'd be interested to see what g-forces Goliath at SFMM pulls in the helix, I remember when it opened it was extremely forceful and relatively sustained, I've heard 6 g's. I ven know a Season Pass holder at Cedar Point who blacked out on it.
  14. Very interesting, having been on both of them I was certainly curious about the layouts.
  15. No Do you like Star Trek?
  16. People who drive while talking on a mobile phone, they just change lanes or pull into roundabouts without even looking, almost been collected several times.
  17. Radio Nowhere - Springsteen
  18. Juno was such an original piece, I loved all the little quirks that gave it so much individuality, and the warmth it had - well deserved win, at least Miramax couldn't rig that result.
  19. I'm reading at the moment: To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee The Prince - Niccolo Machiavelli Beowulf (from the Norton Anthology of English Literature)
  20. I brought a property a month ago just before two interest rate rises. When was the last time you got your ass kicked?
  21. TPR midwest trip August 2007. When was the last time you rode a new to you wood coaster for the first time?
  22. yes. Have you completely snapped a bone in two?
  23. Wes, good to see you turned back before it was too late, and that we are not reminescing about fatty patch Wes from ACE. I've got an opening year at SFMM Flashback commerative cup, that's about it for me, oh and a hash pipe shaped Top Thrill Dragster opening year bottle. Wonder if people would pay money for them I don't want them.
  24. Very nice Jahan, I have to say that SFKK was fun, it didn't have top ten in the world coasters but it was a great place to visit. Though T2 that was a bad, even for an SLC, not only head banging but it kind of thrust you in the middle of the back too, not good at all. I really appreciate the way they treated us that day, first class, Six Flags.
  25. Are there any limitations to what SFMM can do in relation to building a wood coaster, like size, because of the possibility of earthquakes? Intamin pre-fab would be nice, but I'm not expecting that, just hoping.
