Old Beast Vids
downunder replied to CoasterComet's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Was the Beast ever good, hard to belive after last uyears rides for me, which were the first time. "Beast love" makes it sound like an inter species erotica thread. -
Strongest/Most forcefull Launch
downunder replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I rate Chiller too, I have only been on the Robin side with lap bars, I like the way it was so out of control. Shame I never got to do the Batman side. -
Strongest/Most forcefull Launch
downunder replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Restricting it to purely LIM's as per the topic I would have to say Chiller is the most intense launch I have been on, none of the other LIM's I have been on have been that intense - Superman the Escape, Tower of Terror, V2, Wicked Twister, and Flight of Fear. If I was including LSM's, then the second launch on Maverick would get my vote. Out of anything launched Dragster (over KK), though I haven't been Dodonpa. -

Farenheit looks awesome, so looking forward to getting back to Hershey - I can smell that chocolate. -
^You beat me to it, Weird Al pretty much sums it all up. When you consider how many torture machines there are at CW - Vekoma, Togo, Might Canadian Asspounder and so on, and then consder the huge attendance the park gets...

^^Hey Ryan, sounds like White Castle sentenced you to the gas chamber, did they deploy the oxygen masks? -

Glad I didn't hang with you guys after the trip, the one visit to White Castle early in the trip was a once in a lifetime to me, once was too many times. We went to Wal-mart and then a resturaunt that serves real food the day after the midwest trip. -
One last ride for Doppel Looping.
downunder replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wanna ride it, send it to Luna Park Sydney, our fine city of over 4 million deserves to have more than 1 coaster (and it's only a creaky wild mouse, geez). -
Photo TR: Jahan's Awesome TPR-Midwest Trip Report!
downunder replied to arrowfanman's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Maybe I'll have to do a lame and crap midwest trip report, to make people appreciate your reports even more. The Vekoma and Arrow bus were like different planets, I know we had a lot of fun at the front of the arrow bus but no boob credits. Though I think TRP was stinking out the back of the bus. -

Magnum is such a classic, I can only imagine what people thought of it when it first opened in 1989. I just saw it on coaster specials down here in Australia and never dreamed I'd ever get to a place called Sandusky Ohio... -
Let's Learn about the Matterhorn!
downunder replied to Alpenguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^You guys were at Disney the same day I was (Robb told me), the Tuesday after the midwest trip if I remember correctly, I was so tired from the midwest trip, and I was pretty not amused all day. Matterhorn is a fun and a ride with a bit of adventure to it, and it's so old but so good. -
Top Thrill Dragster Line Music
downunder replied to jmicha's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love that song, it's been the theme song for commercials for one of our major car manufcturers since about 2004, and everytime I get nostalgic for Cedar Point. -
What's wrong with Mean Streak?
downunder replied to dammie16@vt.edu's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Rough and boring, no air time or thrills whatsoever. The trim brake on the drop certainly takes away the potential for thrills, I have heard that it was necessary so the ride didn't shake itself apart. A badly designed, ill conceived wood coaster like son of beast. Maybe adding some steel supports might give it enough support to take the trims off but it's probably not worth the expenditure. An impressive looking coaster though. Biggest problem, they haven't relocated it to the bottom of Lake Erie or Michigan's Adventure. -
No but I'd like to go there. Have you been on a new coaster this year yet?
