Revolution would be a lot better without the OTSRs. I got my head banged on that thing! ACE coaster classic, my butt!

I did Knott's on a Sunday in April and I was able to do all the coasters with several re-rides on most of them. I was able to do a lot of the flats and other attractions. I was done by 5 pm. I think as long as you don't go on a Saturday, you can do Knott's in a few hours.

I saw Robb wrap up his camera is a plastic bag. The whole bag covers his camera. There's a small hole for his lens to stick out. I use a special waterproof enclosure case for my camcorder.

Theme Park Review's Summer Party! ROLL CALL!
BarryH replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think I can make this one, but please throw Ryan in the pool for me. -
Here's my Christmas present for Dan, Captain Novolin game for the SNES. It's the game that teaches kids about diabetes! Don't buy it for me, though. We can put it in our crappy video game collection, right next to N64's Superman 64, Atari 2600's E.T., and Jaguar's Fight for Life! Read all about it here: http://matt.yanos.com/games11.php You can buy it on eBay. Someone has an opening bid for it for $9.99. Buy it and play it at TPR's next party!

SFGDV, SFA, Hersheypark, Knoebels, Dorney park trip planning
BarryH replied to Skyscraper's topic in Ask Alvey
If you're going to be in the Hersheypark area, why not do Dutch Wonderland? You can probably do it in a 1/2 day, tops. Here's a video showing off the bestest ride there, the Lady Gay Tugboat! www.robbalvey.com/dutchwonderland.zip -
With all the head bashings I've gotten on Corkscrews, maybe I need to sue Vekoma.

^Excellent! My plan worked! Now I will sneeze on Robb so no one else will want him and he'll be all mine!

I sneezed in the bag o' crap once.

There's a Guy Fan Club, but no Barry Fan Club. *sniff*

In my visit to Universal in July, BTTF was actually pretty smooth! I think the USH version is pretty smooth too. I've been hearing the Simpsons simulator rumor for a long time now. There's an article of it on www.jimhillmedia.com. I was hoping it would go into the old Herc and Xena building. The bottom line to remember: if Universal doesn't say it's so, it isn't so.

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
BarryH replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode Revenge of the Mummy at USF. -
So which is worse: Fantazyland or Pedroland Park?

Cypress Gardens Crowds
BarryH replied to thefitness's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Unless there is a concert that day, I've never seen huge crowds at Cypress Gardens. If there is a concert (especially if the performer is very popular), the park will get crowded later in the afternoon. -
Universal Studios Hollywood Questions
BarryH replied to iCoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If you can swing it, do the VIP tour. During the studio tram tour, you get your own tram, so you don't have to sit next to many smelly tourists. You also get to stop at 3 points along the tour: Universal offices and the Foley Studio, the prop department, and a sound stage to see whatever is shooting at the moment (we saw the "Crossing Jordan" sets). If you do the VIP tour, do it on a weekday because most of the crew are there. I went on a Saturday and we talked to a Foley artist, but we didn't get to speak to anyone in the prop department. I heard the people in the prop department are fun to speak with. You also get special VIP access to the rides. -
What's up with this?
