  1. I saw La Bamba, I mean, La Nouba in Orlando and it was quite amazing! My favorite part were the dudes on the bikes. The performance got a standing ovation!
  2. I got R&E's thank you card for KidTums' gift! They thanked me for KidTums cool toy, but they said I couldn't borrow her for the kiddie credits. Damn.
  3. ^Also, Jim ill will get something right when he stops writing "'What do you mean,' you ask." No really, a "boutique park" is an interesting idea. I've been to Discovery Cove and boy, they do treat you like royality. Man, if I paid $200+ a day for that experience, I'd want to be treated rather well too! I wonder if Disney's park will have all the churros you can eat, exculsive rides on roller coasters, a bed and breakfast, or a dolphin encounter.
  4. I bet WillMontu and Eric Johnson will visit you!
  5. I usually have "A Little Respect" song stuck in my head.
  6. Who is this Barry Robb mentioned in the PTR? I remember when my nephew was a few days old too. I was so scared to hold him because he looked so fragile. He cried when I held him too. I guess it must be my hands. Robb cried when I held him a while ago.
  7. Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to you You smell like a monkey And you belong in a zoo!
  8. If you're shopping for food in Orlando, don't go to Gooding's unless you like to pay high prices. I find prices at Publix pretty reasonable. Plus, Publix stores tend to be very nice and have overall friendly employees.
  9. The good thing about hurricane warnings is that you generally have enough time to evacuate the area and head to someplace safe. If you do get an alert to evacuate, please do so. Don't be stupid and try to ride out the storm. Your house can be replaced, but not your life.
  10. I went to DLP last June and I spent two days. I could have used another day to see stuff I missed. I stayed at an onsite hotel (Santa Fe) and offsite (Kyraid). Both had shuttle buses to the parks. I liked staying onsite a little better. The buses seemed nicer for the onsite hotels.
  11. Believe me, you don't want to know what was on my ass. I think it moved and ate small children.
  12. ^^You actually need to watch up for guys named Will who have British accents and attend the University of Florida.
  13. I've lived in Florida for over 30 years. It's great to live in Florida for 3 reasons: 1.) No state income tax 2.) You can ride roller coasters in January 3.) You can laugh at your friends up north when they have 6 feet of snow in January and it's 80 degrees in Florida Depending on where you are moving to, you may encounter "season," when the folks up north come down to their Florida winter homes. It's usually from Labor Day to Memorial Day. People complain about these "snowbirds" because they drive like crazy (they don't know the roads like locals) and they take up valuable space in restaurants. I say they can spend all the $ they want in Florida because tourism is the main reason why we don't have a state sales tax! I don't think I want to move out of Florida and go up north. I've seen too many news reports about people stuck in the snow during winter. I had a touch enough time driving through a heavy thunderstorm! I know a friend in NJ who is quite disgrunted because: a.) he can't stand the cold NJ winters, b.) people are not friendly, and c.) he lives in NJ .
  14. ^Yep, Ryan can ride the Williams Grove Cyclone, Drachen Fire, Psyclone, and SOB with the loop!
  15. ^I thought the Marvel characters were handed out to companies on a piecemeal basis, or at least the movies are. That's what Sony Pictures came out with Spider-Man, Universal came out with the Hulk, Fox came out with the Fantastic Four, etc.

    Oops?

^^The error was something you would not "nunderstand."
  17. ^Derek just drank one beer because he was trying to set a good example for Nicole.
  18. When I rod ethe Borg in April 2005, the coaster shook like a bag of beer cans. I thought it would fly apart!
  19. Valhalla is only a coaster if your name is Jeff Johnston.
  20. For the first 3 days, it seems like you'r rushing through things. Epcot is at least a 1 day park, if you decide to venture into World Showcase. Magic Kingdom is at least a day park too. I suppose if you're just looking for thrill rides, you can do the two Disney parks in one day. However, if this is your first time going to Disney, I would allot more time to the parks.
  21. ^If you visit during busy periods, the Universal Express prices tend to be $40 for 1 day/1 park or $50 for 2 days/2 parks. You can find the Express prices here: http://www.universalorlando.com/tic_express.html Also note that if you are staying onsite at a Universal hotel, you get unlimited Universal Express access with your room key. You can get 2 days of Express access for 1 night's hotel stay. The key is good from 7 am on the day of your check-in to midnight on the day of your check-out. You can check in early and leave your baggage with the bellhop if your room is not ready. I checked for Royal Pacific Resort rates in July. I found rooms from $200-$239 with AAA, AP, and Florida resident discounts. If you have 4 people in a room, it's around $50 a person. So if Express passes are $50 during that time, you paid for 1 day of the cost of Express with a 1 night onsite hotel stay and got a place to stay too!
  22. I agree with Robb. Just buy one! that will solve your problem. You can put in extra hours at the Piggly Wiggly to pay for it.
  23. Cypress Gardens rarely has huge crowds, unless you're going a few hours before a concert. You shouldn't see waits more than 15 minutes for rides. Usually, you have to wait 1-2 trains for rides at the max. Unless you're going to Boomers on a Friday or Saturday night, you shouldn't have to wait more than 1 train for the Dania Beach Hurricane. It's usually in a 1 train operation. I've never seen it run 2 trains. BGA will probably be the most crowded. I've seen the parking lot fill up by 1 pm when I went last year during the 2nd week of April! The best tip is to arrive before park opening and hit all the rides you can with short waits. The parking lot usually opens about 30 minutes before the posted park opening. If you can, pay for preferred parking so you don't have to wait forever for a tram when the park closes. I haven't been to the 2 water parks you mentioned, but I assume Adventure Island will be pretty busy too.
  24. Great PTR! Did you go to Disney-MGM on a Saturday? I've only seen the park that crowded on Saturday, which is a EMH day for Disney Studios. Nice Stealth and UF t-shirts! I have a Stealth shirt like that. I know you have class.
  25. This sounds pretty interesting.
