  1. Nice photos! Way back when I was in high school in the 80's, the Magic Kingdom had "Grad Nite." I remember people had to dress up for the occassion. Guys had to wear suits and ties. Girls had to wear dresses. There wasn't any rides that would really get you wet while wearing your suits. I don't think Splash Mountain was constructed yet in the late 80's.
  2. Yep, it's going in where BTTF was. I'm interested to see how they will re-theme the area. Will there be a Kiwk-E-Mart stand? Will the International Food Bazar become Krusty Burgers? The possibilities are endless.

  4. If you want low crowds, try these times: January (except for New Year's Day and holidays) 1st 3 weeks of May September (except for Labor Day) December before the 2 weeks of Christmas and New Year's) During September, the parks seem really deserted. Of course, hours are shorter (usually 9 am to 7 pm). As a toss-up between crowds and special events, try October. Crowds are pretty moderate, but you can also enjoy the Halloween events at Universal and Sea World. You can even go to Disney for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I went to BGT once on a weekday in October and the park was pretty quiet. The longest line (15 minute wait) was for lunch!
  5. What parks are you thinking of visiting? As for when to go, are you looking for low crowds or for special events?
  6. After looking at the photos on Tommy and James' website, I'm pretty excited about Hard Rock Park. I guess I know where I'm going in 2008!
  7. Great PTR! You made a joke about the butt, but not the donkey? How was the Sesame Street show? I'll have to check it out the next time I'm at Sea World.
  8. I believe Orlando has the better quality theme parks than SoCal. You got Universal Orlando, WDW, Sea World, and BGT.
  9. I can't do Magic Eye either! People look at them and see all sorts of things. I just look at them and go, "WTF am I supposed to be seeing?"
  10. ^I think Spaceship Earth would be better as "Spaceship Yeti Ball."
  11. ^It's all about licensing. MIB and Ghostbusters were not Universal movies, but they were licensed for use from other companies. Obviously, making a ride based on a Universal movie or TV show would cut the licensing costs.
  12. ^I wonder if the "unnamed source" is the Internet and all the rumors that are piling about about the replacement.
  13. ^Remember to wear your "WWDD" bracelet. WWDD = "What would Dolly do" No, we are not talking about the cloned sheep.
  14. ^I'm surprised R&E an plan 3 group trips this year!
  15. It's about time SE is getting a change! It needed it four years ago. During the end scene, I have to wonder: when I make a phone call, why does my phone not shoot out sparkily lights?
  16. Great PTR! Did you get bit by a whale like Elissa?
  17. You know, Julie, I think you go to Dollywood just to pose by that pickle. Seriously, great PTR! I guess roof climbing is a new ride! Hey, you like to stay in cheap hotels? A woman after my own heart. I try to find cheap hotels too, since I only use it to sleep and shower. I don't spend a whole lot of time in the room anyway. The cheaper I can get, the better! My friend calls me "The Cheap Hotel King!" I can smell a cheap hotel a mile away! But then again, Julie's heart belongs to Kevin. *sniff sniff*
  18. ^^If it is, maybe they will rename it from "Batman: The Escape" to "The Escape."
  19. I don't know if this has been answered before, but will S:ROS get a new name? Anyway, the logo looks like it is advertising silly string! I went to the website and I can't scroll down to see what's below "Theme Park & Resort." It's a sign of bad web design.
  20. Mom and Dad this is Chasey. Chasey, this is my Mom and Dad...
  21. All trips combined are like 10 000 bucks, excluding flights. 06/29 - 07/07: Spain ($1800) 07/08 - 07/11: Netherlands, Germany ($700) 09/01 - 09/16: Japan ($4000) 09/17 - 09/23: South Korea ($1500) 08/02 - 08/13: USA midwest ($2000) ...and not including spending money either!
  22. ^^^You can also buy SFA passes online for $39.99 on http://www.sixflags.com/America/tickets/index.aspx IMHO, I would go for the season pass. You can go to SFA again in the year or head down to SFGAdv.
  23. Google is your friend! Here's what I found when doing a Google search in how to attach pictures in e-mail: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/photomail/photomail-08.html Now you owe me $5.
  24. ^If he wants to meet you on the 23rd, does he want to meet you at work?
