I was pondering on visiting the fair in 2008. Who is the midway operator? Are there any coasters? I didn't see any in the pictures I saw.

Camp Minnie-Mickey was supposed to be a temporary land in Animal Kingdom. Beastly Kingdom was going to occupy that section of real estate. About 10 years later, the temporary attraction has become permanent. You can see a dragon, sort of. When the boat ride went around the river circling Discovery Island, one part of the ride had a big flame shooting out of a dark cave. This was a dragon who hid in the cave and blew his breath every so often. If you stand on one of the bridges in Animal Kingdom leading to Discovery Island, you may see the flame shoot out once in a while. I've only seen the flame on time, though. Some of the ideas of Beastly Kingdom were integrated into IOA's Lost Continent. I read that the land was supposed to have a unicorn maze with two different sides. Thanks for the tips! The last time I went to SFOG was on a Saturday and it was brutal, even with a Q-Bot. I hope Ghost Town in the Sky isn't too busy.

^Also, over at DCA, I like the Taste Pilot's Grill. Don't eat at the overpriced McDonald's in Pacific Pier! If you crave McDonald's (and who doesn't), you can leave the park and eat at the McD's across the street for less mula.

I'll be heading into the deep south (Florida isn't the deep south) and visiting SFOG, Ghost Town in the Sky, and Dollywood (and maybe Lake Winnie) in July. I'll probably be hitting SFOG on a Saturday. I wish I could choose another day for SFOG, but I won't be able to change it. So what is a good survival guide for SFOG? I'll probably be getting the Flash Pass. I've been to SFOG and I have all the credits except for Goliath and Canyon Blaster. Goliath will be a priority. I can probably skip Ninja and the Georgia Cyclone if need be. I want to try to hit all the good stuff at SFOG. The last time I visited in 2004, I went with some people who weren't fans of the place and boo-hooed all the time we were there. We ended up leaving at around 3 pm after riding stuff for a few hours.

Look into flying into LaGuardia in NYC or Newark in NJ. LaGuardia is a nicer and usually less crowded than JFK.

Great photos! Does KidTums sleep in a crib? I've never been in the hotel at MCO. It looks way cool and way expensive! BTW, what does Elissa's dad do for a living? He doesn't look like he's retired. I wish my office had photos of half-naked women. *sigh*

I would invest a good portion of it in the Russell 2000.

It takes me about 15 minutes to walk from the front gates to SheiKra. You don't have to walk. You can use the skyride or the train. If it takes you an hour to get from Montu to SheiKra, are you crawling to the coaster?

Great photos! What's up with that Valleyfair costumed character? I think he would scare kids more than appealing to them.

Although DarKastle isn't a coaster, if you want to ride it, do it early. I rode it twice in the morning with a 15 minute wait. Later in the day, the wait was over an hour. I don't know why, but they send single riders to the ultra-wide center lane for some reason.

If you want to buy food outside the park, many restaurants are a short walk from DL. You can cross Harbor Blvd. and find numerous restaurants. There's a Denny's, IHOP, and a McDonald's right across the street from DL. There's a restaurant called Captain Kidd's, but walk by it. I heard the food is quite gross!

I thought you went to a Six Flags park to see hooligans spitting on people and getting into fights.
