I should re-phrase: If someone registers, then fails to arrive on time to the event, will the registration be held at Guest Relations or will it be forfeit? I guess I could show up early and then go wine-tasting or something. Thanks for the reply.

I'd like to attend the ERT, but would rather skip the morning (and the long day at SFDK on "Furlough Friday" with 90,000 State Employees). Does registration have to be picked up in the morning or can it be picked up at Will Call or something?

So... I'm going to S. Korea for the month of October (assuming there aren't any nukes being flung around) and I hear that Everland has a pretty good Intamin woodie. How is it? I've heard that Balder is better. I've also heard that El Toro is better. However, a few of you also say that T Rex (or whatever it's called) kicks butt on the other Intamin woodies. Please enlighten me. I need to plan how many days to spend there (Everland). I've never been on any of the Intamin woodies. (I already know the Arrow suspended is supposed to be A-#1, so I'm really intrigued with the prospect of an Arrow coaster finally doing itself justice (besides X or X2)) Kamsahamnida, George

Well said, Robb! A few other differences to note: Notice the difference in the average age of an ACE group and that of a TPR group. Also, an ACE group will have about 10%-30% of its members riding through the end of ERT, while a TPR group will have more like 90%-95% riding through end of ERT (see age difference-above). Hmmm, there's also the attitude difference (rigidity) that comes with age. I've witnessed a not insignificant number of ACE individuals with bad (IMO) attitudes towards others - including their fellow members. I have not seen this with the WCB crowd. All said though, ACE still has the advantage of offering more 1-day semi-local (west coast) ERT events per year than TPR, so I take the ecclectic approach and attend both (though I'm reluctant to wear any kind of ACE logos to events where people are familiar with the stereotype).

Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was that I hope the WCB does not start to draw so many people that the ERT becomes overly crowded. I wasn't referring to general public time at all. My party doesn't feel a need to ride any coasters after about 11 am anyway, since there's nighttime ERT. I once went to a CoasterCon with ACE a few years back and the queues during ERT were WAY longer than at the regular park time, so it really became pointless to attend the ERT (with ACE, that is).

I think it might be more crowded this year. Last year was before the majority of spring breaks had begun. Not that it matters too much. You can always get X2 and Tatsu at ERT in the morning and get the rest by lunch. When the gates open to the public head counter clockwise from Goliath. I beg to differ... I think it's best to start at the rope next to Tatsu, and head straight up to Ninja and Superman, then straight down to Deja Vu (if running), then clockwise through Batman—1-train usually so you'd better get there EARLY — then Riddler, Colossus/Scream, and Goliath. It was earlier last year, this year it is at the beginning of most schools spring break(s). I would guess it will be more crowded than last year. Hopefully I'm wrong... But yes, you should easily be able to do all the coasters. Hi Gregg! Hope you are going and we can meet up... If it's hideously crowded, we should all beg Robb to hold it earlier next year... Otherwise we should reconsider future attendance as we will be approaching the same misery as ACE has with their events' enormous queue lines. We don't want that to happen... RIGHT??? (think... There is a Forest Service campground off of "The Old Rd" about 5 miles north called "Oak Hollow" or something like that. It's along the frontage road between the dam and the nearest exit south of the dam (Templin Hwy?) It used to be free but I don't know about nowadays. If you can stand pit toilets... I'd camp there again any day.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, so forgive me if the post is in the wrong place. My family of 5 will be attending WCB in March. One of us is only a toddler. The adults normally rotate out watching our child while the others partake in ERT. Is the toddler required to pay the $30 registration fee even though she cannot ride any of the coasters? Yeah, I should've gotten a better look at their badges. We figured my daughter was too young to copycat their language yet, so we let 'em go after the bottom of the ramp. (Oh, and it was during morning ERT, about 20-30 min before general public came in.) Still though, you can't isolate your kids from the real world forever... especially at a place like SFMM where everybody's jaded to the entertainment industry's continuous portrayals of sex, drugs, smoking, intolerance, violence, selfishness, destruction, and yes—cursing. Looking forward to this year's event, and next year's when the new "woodie" should be up and running.

Last year, while my 3 year old daughter was waiting below at "Rapids Camp", Some Jack A.. who was on Tatsu with us decided to allow his teenage kids to cuss up a storm whilst riding Tatsu with us - Mom and Dad of the underlying Daughter mentioned above - and this was extremely disappointing. We "tailed" the "DAD" of these one or two deviant kids for a few minutes after riding to see if they got reprimanded at all for their extreme potty-mouth whilst on the ride. (They got nothing less than ENCOURAGEMENT afterwards - I might add...) Anyway, I hope that all the adult chaperones out there who plan on attending this year will discourage their kids from screaming obscenities at the tops of their lungs while cruising through the gee forces that are supposed to be enjoyable on the rides this year... You people with teenagers riding with you really need to jerk the choke collars once in a while... Okay, now that that's out of the way, kudos to the other 99.999% of the TPR'rs who behave appropriately on the annual outing. Thank you all for your mature and responsible behaviour. I just hope that some day it will become socially acceptable to publicly reprimand the 0.0001% of the public who make no attempt to repair the trash caused by the extreme few. Sorry for the crap talk but I just had to let it fly - in much the same way as the inconsiderate family that I had the displeasure of riding Tatsu with last year...may they not attend this year. ... On to the next poster and forget I ever said anything at all... (downer posts suck, you know)
