The Fearmaker, the embodiment of all things evil...this sounds very familiar...I think I've heard of it from a park a bit south of Wild Adventures... -
Photo TR: TPR's Steaming Hot Mid-America Trip
BarryH replied to cfc's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great pictures! I remember going to Mt. Olympus last year. After my ride on Hades, I had to sit down for a few minutes because it was so aggressive. BTW, is there ever a time when Hades is "not aggressive?" I see that sign in front of Hades in every PTR I've seen. I missed the kiddie coaster credit when I was in the Dells. Dang, how did I miss it? I guess I was too busy riding the Ducks! -

I've always wondered about the Water Ski Hall of fame in Polk County, off exit 44 on I-4. I pass by it on my way to Orlando and I've always wondered what's in there. I see 3-4 cars parked in front at any time. -

I'm not sure what would happen if TPR Quest asked for men's boxers. Maybe some things are left to wondering... -
Actually, the cake is pretty nice although the coaster defies the laws of physics but not the laws of deliciousness. I like the queue line. Nice touch!

The Official TPR Bag of Crap Thread!
BarryH replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I imagined that Doctor Doom was holding his camera when he got the mail. He saw the bag o' crap. He got so excited that he dropped his camera and it broke. I assume that is why there are no photos. -

I was picturing the bags o' crap as big duffel bags full of stuff. Now I know what they really look like. -

I went to Kiddieland on Labor Day last year. I arrived an hour past opening and the line to buy tickets was about 2 miles long and the parking lot was pretty full. I had time restraints and I never made it in. I thought I missed the Little Dipper, but it looks like I will have a chance to ride it when I visit Great America again. -

Ever think about heading to Fantasy of Flight? It's a bit pricey, but it's kind of nice. The restaurant there is pretty good. -

It's awesome that Robb will be a Scare-actor. Think of how much money Knott's will save on makeup. Just have him wear just pants and put on a funny hat. That's some scary stuff! -

I have never seen this photo TR thread before and I spent 2 hours looking at everything. After 2 hours, I do declare that these are the best photo TRs ever! I was laughing so much! While reading the photo TRs, I was wondering what you could do with the Holy Land Experience. If you give me $100, I will buy you 3 tickets with my uber not-so-secret AAA discount. I won't tell AAA. -

Great photos! I was there on 8/14. How did we miss each other? I wish I could have done all 4 days. There's always Celebration VI in 3 years. -
I've ridden all sorts of crazy coasters around the U.S. and I've never had my glasses fall off. Even with coasters that invert or flyers, glasses have always stayed on. However, I have had a pair of glasses break due to the brutality of some coasters. I had a pair with a thin frame and a screw hinge. After months of riding the roller coasters of Busch Gardens, the glasses finally called it quits and the hinge on one side broke. Now I have glasses with a thick frame and a spring hinge. I call them my "Clark Kent glasses" because it looks like what the famous reporter would wear. I've ridden all sorts of roller coasters with the Clark Kent glasses -- Montu, Kumba, Manta, Raging Bull, Dark Knight, Batman: The Ride, Bizarro (SFNE), Mad Mouse, the Incredible Hulk Coaster, the Wacky Worm -- and they've never fallen off or broken. I do make sure the glasses are secure on my face. A lot of times, I will take the glasses off and put them back on to make sure they are secure on my ears and face. Sometimes I forget to take the glasses off and they don't fall off. Ever ride a rapids ride with glasses on? Well, let me say I wish I had windshield wipers on my glasses!

Great photos! Cheetah is actually smooth? No way! I gotta ride it again! You know, I really hate Styx. Whenever I hear them on the radio, I say, "Dear God!" and change the channel. -
I dare you to do this during tomorrow's Superbowl halftime show...
