  1. As they say in Universal Studios' Disaster!, "And we are...moving on!"
  2. ^"Dukes of Hazard" came to my mind first. Still, the trains look pretty cool!
  3. I say we use the $120 to make the false "b" in Robb's name a true "b!" We can file papers at the courthouse!
  4. I thought someone would have bought savethebigdipper.com and made it into a porn site.
  5. ^Yeah, let's save Son of Beast! We need to brtualize the next generation!
  6. This whole thread reminds me of a conversation I had with a co-worker. They were all up in arms about opening a year-long haunted house in town. They came up to me and asked me, "Hey, do you want to be in on this venture?" I asked, "Show me your business plan first." They then said, "Huh?"
  7. Out of the two parks, I'd choose Dorney for family-friendly stuff. I really don't like Dorney, but it's the best for your criteria out of the two. Something you may want to ponder on your next outing for family-friendly stuff...you can head a few hours west of Dorney and go to Knoebel's. There's plenty of family-friendly rides there. Plus, parking is free and ride tickets are fairly cheap. The food is great too -- you can't say that about Dorney or SFGAdv!
  8. I have to ask: is the Big Dipper really worth saving? I rode it about 7 years ago and the only thing I remember about it was there were bees in the queue. I don't remember it as being spectacular or awesome. I don't remember a single thing about my ride other than I know I rode it! I'm not saying a roller coaster has to be 400 feet tall or have 10 inversions to be memorable or awesome. I'm sure people have fond memories of the Big Dipper. I just don't have feelings that this roller coaster should be saved.
  9. Great photos! You didn't see the Fiends show! You would have probably had a lot of fun making captions for those photos!
  10. IMHO, there are a lot of small things to do at Orlando for $25 other than WonderWorks. I would do the Titantic Exhibit over WonderWorks. Even go to Gatorland!
  11. I wonder what the TPR Oktoberfest video will be like. It's surely to be the craziest video ever! I'll buy two of them if it is crazy!
  12. Well, isn't Dinosaur World like the real thing? I thought dinosaurs stood in static poses in grassy fields. Am I wrong to think that?
  13. I was actually looking forward to "Broccoli Farming." After looking at your Oddventures, I thought about having my own oddventure at the Waterski Hall of Fame. I just have to find a weekday to spend there.
  14. Great photos! I wonder how much of this trip Piers will remember. Perhaps he can re-live the vacation by looking at these photos and watching the videos!
  15. ^^At one souvenir shop in Orlando, I saw a Florida t-shirt with wolves in snow. It said "Florida" near the bottom. Now when do you see wolves in snow in Florida?
  16. ^$25 was a steal considering the shirts you got. The BG shirt would cost you at least $15-$20!
  17. Hey, here's an idea on what to do next and all you probably have to do is invest your time and a few dollars... A timeshare tour! I've always wondered what one of these are like, but I couldn't take the time out of my morning to go on a timeshare tour vs. short lines at the parks. I know they are high pressure and you will probably have to say "No" a lot, but it would be something interesting. At the very least, you get breakfast and free park tickets.
  18. Great photos! WonderWorks in Orlando is one of the most notable (and probably the most photographed) buildings in the city. I think a lot of people want to visit it because the building is so unique. In fact, that's what got me into the place a few years ago. After going through it, one word came to mind..."ghetto." It was a really tacky tourist attraction. There's better smaller attractions to see in Orlando, IMHO.
  19. Well, here is my 500th credit: BG's 2011 coaster! I am at 498. I just have to ride that Wacky Worm at Old Town...
  20. It would be interesting to see an atheist's view on the place. I gave my agnostic view on it already: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1565&hilit=holy+land+experience
  21. ^Club DPR would probably get you discounts on liquor at 1,700 liquor stores worldwide and free haircuts at 2,000 hair salons.
  22. Well, if you want to check out the Holy Land Experience, you can go for free on October 5. Check this out: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/travel/attractions/os-holy-land-free-admission-20100916,0,4577229.story It's probably best to go there early, as it looks like the park reached capacity moments after opening.
  23. ^I think it's a little north of Fantasy of Flight and the rest stop on I-4. If you're in the vicinity of exit 44, you can see it to your left. It's a blue building.
  24. Actually come to think of it, Vekoma kiddie coasters are kind of fun...
