  1. I saw "Adventureland" a few hours ago and I enjoyed it. I was expecting a comedy and I loved "Superbad" (one of the few movies that made me laugh out loud), but "Adventureland" was a pretty good watch. So will we put James and Em in the romantic ranks as Nick and Norah or Jessie and Celine?
  2. Wow, I have never seen Mr. Thomas in a suit and tie. I am going to pass out.
  3. The best BGA discount currently is the "Be a Kid Again" promotion. You can get tickets for $58 from the website. If you can get to a AAA South office, you can get the tickets for $55 from AAA. Nearly every gift shop and restaurant along I-Drive has coupon books for the various attractions, shops, and restaurants in the area. I haven't seen a BGA coupon in the books for a long time. If you do find one, you'll probably only see a coupon for a few dollars off. BGA's ticket currently has 2nd day free. You can come back for a 2nd free day within 7 consecutive days of your first visit.
  4. ^IMHO, I would start looking, but not buying yet. I think we will see the discounts hit a few months before the trip starts. For the Deep South trip, I plan to book Airtran unless something is cheaper. I might even drive up and stop by Wild Adventures on the way (if we aren't going there on the trip).
  5. I want to see "Vanilla Ice: The Ride."
  6. ^I'd rather spend the $ on a TPR trip.
  7. ^^I hope that we can find a Virtual Boy, a N-Gage, and a game.com too!
  8. Well, my suggestion doesn't seem as strange, I mean, as awesome as the others. Here's one... Eat a Dole Whip really fast and then take a picture when the brain freeze hits.
  9. Random thought: I was watching a video of Nintendo's Virtual Boy and then read more of this thread on HRP. Then I thought... Virtual Boy and HRP...separated at birth?
  10. Take a cup and taste the water at It's a Small World.
  11. Good luck, Robb! You know, 30 pounds in 30 days calls for a... montage! Montage! Girl, we need a montage!
  12. ^Draining the lake may help alleviate the malaria problem.
  13. Great photos of the Hurricane! A demand: Get a photo and video of you getting a makeover at the Bibbi Bobbi Boutique.
  14. This article needs no jokes from me... Source
  15. ^^^Well, if HRP gets Geauga Lake'd by CF, I hope the Nights in White Satin dark ride goes to Canada's Wonderland.
  16. I think I was 14 or 15 and I rode the Scorpion. When I was in high school, I was in the Latin Club. Every year on our way to an annual competition, we'd stop by Busch Gardens before arriving at the school sponsoring the competition. I remember BG had 2 roller coasters then -- the Python and the Scorpion. The Sandstorm and the Phoenix was there too. Boy have times changed!
  17. ^It's interesting Cedar Fair is interested in buying it. I can see many plastic trash cans and concrete added to the theming.
  18. ^Historically, new rides at Universal open May or June. As for Sea World, I believe Kraken opened in May or June 2000.
  19. When the park was announced and in construction, I was really excited about visiting it. I thought it would be at an IOA theming level. Now when I look at photos of the park, I don't really regret missing it. I would have liked to have seen it in person, though.
  20. I rode it a few years ago during its last renovation. It was like sitting on a jackhammer.
  21. The lottery could be referring to this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lottery I'll be sending a deposit for the Deep South trip. I'm on the fence for the Texas trip. I'm sure this has been answered, but will there be a special "luxury bus" for those going from the Deep South trip to the Texas trip?
  22. I guess HRP isn't going to be on the Deep South trip then? I was thinking...what other parks are in South Carolina? I can only think of Carowinds and Family Kingdom.
  23. Man, in that shot of the spider eating the bird, where does the spider stop and the bird begin? This reminds me of a song... People raise birds Spiders eat birds People eat spiders It's the circle of life!
  24. You look like a Fruit of the Loom dude.
  25. How about trash cans and concrete?
