  1. For a while I thought that steel box frame was a temporary structure to help support that section of track on the up-slope of the second hill during construction, but it looks like it might be staying. It’s just odd looking.
  2. You might as well just never go because there’s always something coming...
  3. Oh come on, I really like the paper print out sign with a typo
  4. It’s almost as if they have a team of accountants and marketing professionals deciding what the prices should be, and aren’t targeting cheap-a** coaster enthusiasts who want to get in for practically nothing and spend no money once they’re there. Weird.
  5. Six Flags, please replace all of your aging, decrepit splash boats with these. Thanks.
  6. Is anyone surprised that the pacing is ruined and the pit stop lasts forever and is a total buzz kill? Because I saw that coming a mile away as soon as the concept video came out.
  7. I didn’t have any luck with Ubers in the area when I went last year - I ended up calling for a taxi to pick me up at the train station in Uttoxeter. There were also several taxis just waiting at the entrance when the park closed at 4:00.
  8. This! I wish B&M would do this! Front row for the view, 4th row for the pucker!
  9. ^ Is that a question? A statement? Or are your synapses just firing randomly while you have a stroke and somehow you submitted a post?
  10. And skipping Twizzlers because they taste like plastic!
  11. Top spins are literal torture devices.
  12. ^ The only thing that I would change about Orion (without getting crazy and adding 50 feet and 2,000 in length) would be to replace the big airtime hill with just another small speed hill - just because Diamondback already has plenty of big hills. But otherwise, I think the ride is perfect as far as the length and area can allow it to be. Looking great!
  13. Why does it have minimal inversions? Because it’s not the 1990s when coasters that went upside-down were nothing more than a string of inversion after inversion followed by a midcourse brake run... inversion, inversion, done. And that god that trend ended.
  14. Man Superman was revolutionary when it was new. I was about 11 years old when it opened and it it was truly awe-inspiring. When the queue was new and fresh it was such an experience - that sudden whoosh sound from the other side of the doors was so friggen cool and mysterious. Now, it’s at the top of the list of coasters at the park I couldn’t care less if it were removed, right alongside Scream. It’s just so loud and ugly... and really does nothing for me as far as a thrill goes. It would be sad to lose Lex Luthor though. Thanks for sharing the pics! I don’t think I’ve ever seen Superman construction photos before.
  15. But they recommend riding Congo Rapids, which is right next door, so... Looks like I’ve been doing BGT wrong all these years!
  16. Exactly how I’ve felt ever since the dinos were on the island and the bridge was put in place for that. People all up in arms about how that sealed the fate of PWE ever retuning. They’ll build a ramp. It’s simple as that
  17. It’s also 4,000 feel long... the fourth longest coaster in the park, after TC, Goliath and Riddler. So... not short
  18. ^Not sure if you’re trolling? It’s a decently long ride with 4 launches and basically two rides in one.
  19. Right, all of the “original” SF parks always get the best additions. Just ask SFSL.
  20. So the new land will be what, about a mile long walk from anything else in the park? Fun.
