  1. Seeing I'm feeling a bit under the weather and as such I've got some time on my hands, I guess I should add a Photo TR for the sake of it. Sounds like a plan! To end it, a lovely picture of me and my girl Ashley (a TPR lurker BTW) in the back of our (Dine in) car. The closest we'll get to a convertible, that's for sure. or the Ed Wood classic Plan 9 From Outer Space See such classic trailers as the Horror at Party Beach... A Tex Avery cartoon at a Disney park. I love irony. Off to Lunch/Dinner at the Sci-Fi Dine In. Being the huge MSTie I am, this has a couple pieces of significance. 1) This Island Earth is the movie chosen for MST3K: The Movie and 2) it's a Universal movie. And finally the Pink Mystic Force ranger. Yes, I'm 20 years old, in college, and I know every one of the Power Rangers. What? There's nothing wrong with that. You in the back, stop snickering! Then the Red SPD ranger then the Green Samurai Ninja Storm ranger The White Dino Thunder ranger decided to pull a Snagglepuss. Exit, stage left even! The Pink Mystic Force ranger is still rocking out. Then the White Dino Thunder ranger, with the Pink Mystic Force ranger rocking out in the background. Including the Silver Lunar Wolf ranger Taking a stroll down the Streets of America and what do we find, the Power Rangers! Don't push too hard on this wall. Last time someone did, it was a little girl lost. My tower photo. You can see how calm I am compared to everyone else. Mainly, I'm more concerned with my camera bag so it doesn't hit me in the face. First off, "Good" Tower. Found this foreboding note on the maintenance man's desk in the boiler room. A shadow of things to come...
  2. Kim's usually at the very end of Mickey Avenue, right across from the Sorcerer Mickey meet and greet. She and Ron are only out at specific times. However, those pictures are on New York Street; excuse me, the Streets of America. She must have kicked the Power Rangers out of their normal spot at the time. My picture of Kim and Ron in their usual Mickey Avenue spot. FYI, it was taken with Guy specifically in mind.
  3. As my screen name probably attests to, I LOVE the cake. I must find a similar cake topper when my time comes for such things. Though it is much too early for me to be thinking of such things, a Nightmare cake is a good for any occasion really.
  4. ^ Now now, we're not Busch. Personally I don't think the Speedway that bad, it just needs some tweaking. Drop the Indy stuff, make it real space age again, some cool theming along, or in, the road, a canopy over the load/unload area for guest and cast sake and maybe those nifty electric cars from Hong Kong to remove the lovely noise and smell.
  5. Let me pose a guess and say that it's primarily Robb, seeing he posted about "Don't Download this Song" when it first came out. My curiosity was struck when watching the Movie Park Germany video and just wondering where the heck you guys find this stuff. I've got an eclectic taste in music, if I do say so myself, but you guys find stuff that just makes me laugh. I just can't imagine who finds all the Europop stuff.
  6. For me, you really have to split it down by park. MK: Stitch. Hands down. It's a shame, I really happen to like the Stitch figure and the gun figures, they look really cool, but it's a giant waste of time and space. Bring me my Tron themed indoor booster bike coaster! Dream on Stuart, dream on. Close second is, well, everything in Fantasyland except for Peter Pan's Flight. Epcot: The entire Imagination pavilion, specifically Honey I Bored, I mean Shrunk, the Audience. Even on 3D show standards, it's cheap, it's stupid, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and because of it they destroyed the perfectly good ride next to it to a shell of its former glory. Now, to promote something, I happen to like Maelstrom, mainly for pure humor on how cheesy it is, especially in voice acting. There is many a time when walking through the parks I get the sudden urge to go "Disappear! Disappear!” Disney-MGM: Sounds Pointless is high on the list, as is Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I also dislike Lights, Motors, Action immensely. Hearing cars with motocross engines zooming around isn't really my cup of tea, and like Honey I Bored the Audience, it destroyed a perfectly good ride in the process, the Backlot tour. The backlot tour is really nothing without Residential Street. AK: Where do I begin? Can't stand Tough to be a Bug. All of Dino-Rama makes me shiver down to my soul, especially coming from the Asia to Dinoland bridge. Go from the beautiful themeing and design around EE into the gigantic butt of a yellow concrete brontosaurus. Subtle, its not.
  7. She'll have an unexplained craving for raisins! -Mike Nah, that's crazy talk. No one has a craving for those. I still have the raisin bag marks from when they were chucked at me during the treats shift I took!
  8. I used the lovely search feature, scrolled through a majority of the 414 returns and couldn't find this question, so if it gets locked for repeat, then it's my miss. I was wondering, who generally picks the music for the videos? They're usually a very eclectic mix of songs and I can't put my finger on whose taste it might be.
  9. Male: Mark Summers Alvey (for the Food Network stars requirement) Malcom Alvey Ryan Alvey (might as well make it offical huh?) Stuart Gracey Alvey Female: Ashley Alvey Grace Alvey Nichole Alvey Crazy : Plain Pasta Alvey Kid Tums Alvey Kit Ums Alvey BonBon Land Alvey Trans Formers Alvey Acti Vision Alvey Pound It Alvey
  10. Now that Elissa's pregnant, does that mean she'll start craving non-Elissa friendly foods? Think she'll have unexplained cravings for pasta sauce and Burger King?
  11. Oh wow! Fall off the boards for a bit and look what ya miss! Congratulations Robb and Elissa! Now, try to resist the urge to name the kid Expedition GeForce Alvey, ok?
  12. Robb! Stop hallucinating! Ryan's not really a giant bottle of catsup!
  13. Looks like ya'll had a great time at the NNS. I would have loved to see you guys on Splash. The splash that 12 people would make... Yes, the butler/undertaker drill team is completely badass. Makes me jealous. I'd do that on the load belt but I don't think I'd get too many sparks on the rubber. Speaking of the load belt, it was awesome seeing you guys last night. Hearing Soren yell my name then me turning around and having a full on paparazzi moment was an awesome moment in my night. Thanks guys. Stuart Creepy. Demented. Weird. He IS one of your members!
  14. Whenever you’re Not-So-Scary, or any time really, while you're down here, come visit me at my big spooky house on the hill in Magic Kingdom. Best butler you can find... But great PTR. Briefly saw ya'll at Japan, but I'm a tempura kiku guy so my girl and I went over that way. Hope to see ya around and have a great trip. Like that needs to be said
  15. That HM butler looks really creepy...he must be really good. Wait... It was good seeing you Sören, it definately was a plesant surprise on a very dead day. Great TR, of course.
  16. Wait, you did all this and you didn't come to my big spooky house on the hill in the Magic Kingdom?!? What's up with that? Eh, if you were there before 4PM, you wouldn't have seen me anyway. Next time you're over in this neck of the woods, be sure to make a night visit to my big spooky house. You'll only get the best butlers and maids then.
  17. Great TR. Yeah, apparently Christy Brinkley visited the Mansion today too. It blocked up our exit, which was mildly annoying. Heh.
  18. Awesome TR. Those places in the Magic Kingdom looks...familiar. Especially that Mansion... Did your Jungle Skipper's name happen to be not just Bob but Danger Bob? If so I know exactly who you're talking about. He's a pretty darn good skipper. And you better believe the Mansion is always good. It's all the hard working and dedicated butlers and maids who make it that way.
  19. From China daily: I can see it now. The one inch punch kiddy coaster. The Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Game of Death drop tower. In all seriousness, it'll be interesting to see a blend of theme park and gigantic martial arts training center. It's not a combo I usually think of.
  20. Ah, South of the Border. The trappiest of tourist traps. Great TR. I do have some respect for it, even for how utterly stucktastic the place may be, at least it's still open. Well...sorta.
  21. No worries. I'll be around in October, so your chances are good.
  22. Why thank you. I do enjoy my job, though my duties go far beyond just greeter. heh
  23. What a great topic idea! Just to warn, there may be a lot of Disney on here. I'm biased, I admit. In no order: The Haunted Mansion (DL, WDW, TDL): Ok, so I'm a little biased for the Mansion, seeing I'm currently a butler at the Master's Florida home... BUT it still can easily be considered a pinnacle in the "spook house" style of dark ride. For a ride that's been relatively unchanged for around 37 years and it still has guests leaving saying "How'd they do that?" That's longevity. The Loch Ness Monster (BGE): It may not be the nicest or the best ride ever, but with its interlocking loops, it's one of the, if not the, most photographed coasters in the world. It's also carried on as an icon of Busch Garden thrills since its opening. The Flight of Fear (PKD, PKI) and Superman: The Escape (SFMM): The first of the LIM/LSM launched coasters, creating a whole new style of beginning. Not only did it create a revolution in the way coasters were designed, but Superman had a speed record that was unbroken for 6 years. In the hot and heavy coaster competition, that's rather impressive. Coney Island Cyclone (Astroworld): The wooden that, too many people, is the basis of what a good or bad wooden coaster means. It's also the inspiration for many a designer. Quite literally the coaster equivalent to "Often imitated, but never duplicated". Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter: Though we won't know its legacy till later, I feel the 97 degree drop coaster will become extremely popular in design. We shall see when Mystery Mine opens, seeing it'll be the first of its kind in the states. Pirates of the Caribbean (DL): For its technological advances alone, it deserves to be on the list. Captivating millions for years, along with being the basis of a hugely popular franchise, it's just icing on the cake. The Wave Swing: It's one of those rides that almost everywhere, you're bound to find one. It may not be the most popular ride in the park, but it's there. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Disney-MGM Studios): The Tower of Terror totally redefined not only the drop tower, but Disney as well. The Tower is one that was a statement to the public, saying that Disney could do a high thrill ride, but still gives it that extra Disney push to the limit. It's also, I feel, one of those rides that can really only exist once. Even Disney can't duplicate it when they clone it to other parks. Lightning doesn't strike twice, no pun intended. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man (IOA): Amazing is the key word. Spider-man has completely revolutionized the simulator ride and is now one of those rides to beat. Though I have not personally ridden DarKastle, the closest to Spider-Man, from what I've heard, it still doesn't live up. Stealth/BORG Assimilator (PGA/Paramount's Carowinds): Again, a first of its kind but another sort of revolution in design. Though flying coasters may seem like more the novelty act of the coaster world, it’s safe to say that they certainly are popular and changed the idea of how a coaster goes about the track.
  24. I don't know, I think we're all pretty funny looking...myself excluded of course.
  25. 1. synaesthetique #2 2. Weetopia #1 3. bicoastalkid #1 I love all the photochop contests! Sadly, I couldn't get an entry in this one. Dumb work
