Although 3.5 hours from me, we also consider CP our "home park" as that is the park that we visit the most. We normally enter at the Breakers/Soak City entrance so Magnum is usually the first ride that we hit up. Basically because of the nostalgia that it holds (near and dear to my heart)...and the fact that it usually has a short line. And if it does have a long line, you can always nab your Gemini credit, go grab a beer at Lusty Lil's, whine about the super long line for Maverick and then opt to go power-ride Skyhawk after catching a nice little beer buzz (bonus fun if it's Beer & BBQ time).

I was with you all the way until I read this... But no worry, I won't hold that against you! I also think that Leviathan is what I might consider a slightly underrated coaster...definitely the most underrated giga (not that there are a ton to choose from). I really enjoyed my 14+ night rides in a row on it during the TPR event a few years ago. Most of those rides I didn't even have to get out of my seat in the station so I was able to enjoy ride after ride of floaty-air bliss. Leviathan & Behemoth are the two best things in the park & they arguably have the best collection of flat rides of any major theme park in the world. The rest of their coasters however...just don't do anything for me (even Vortex). While the American side of the Falls is still pretty much a crime-ridden sh%t-hole, they really are trying to revive the area (like the Buffalo waterfront) and make it more family-friendly. I like what they are doing with the revamp and road work through Niagara Falls State Park. And I believe that they have some pretty good plans for the old Rainbow Center just outside of the park. Hopefully that might help draw more folks to the American side as I have always said that NY state has done nothing but severely neglect one of the more beautiful areas of our country/state for like...ever. FYI...Canada has also recently added new LED lighting on the Falls at night. I haven't seen it in person, but it looked quite impressive on the local news - much brighter than the old, dated spotlights.

Great concept, but yeah...I could understand this not working in the US, unfortunately. -

^ My partner can't ride frisbee rides anymore either. Riding Delirium at KI during Banshee Bash during morning ERT pretty much did him in for the day, so you're definitely not alone. Any ride that goes in multiple directions at once like that is likely going to make quite a few riders (even a lot of enthusiasts) nauseous....especially as they get older. I agree others about the back seat on WT...I love looking straight down to the sand from that high up and enjoy any coaster that launches. Would be bummed if they did get rid of it, but I really don't see that happening. Looks like an attention-seeker just trying to deliberately stir up some drama. -

This is a good point. When I visited Cedar Point for the first time last summer, the Frontier Trail section seemed so Silver Dollar City like to me. The name is pretty hokey, but that's what this type of theming is all about. I kind of love it. I admit that I was one that thought that this would look somewhat out of place on the Frontier Trail, but this doesn't look too bad - and I like the name. Still would rather have a "real" log flume there or somewhere on the trail, but you never know...it could come in time. -
I don't get it...what am I missing here?

I was also hoping for the double ferris wheel, but this certainly looks interesting. Not sure if my acid reflux would take kindly to it, but it would be a fun ride to watch. -

I have a 1.75L of Jack on the ready in case Darienlaker posts in here. Anyone else? -
Oh hell no, Bill! This was over the span of the nine weeks that Michael was in Buffalo General. I spaced them out because they were soooo decadent...I would only allow myself to go there like once every couple of weeks. But now I find myself craving them again, although have like -0 ambition to drive out to Buffalo for like the next 5+ years!

Sh%t...forgot about Magnum. How does one simply forget Magnum is an Arrow? Yep, Magnum was my last Arrow coaster. -
Southern Tier 2X IPA in a 16 oz. can. At 8.2% ABV, it certainly packs a nice, hoppy punch. Sure would love to see these available for purchase at Cedar Point next season!

When Michael was in the hospital in Buffalo, I would sneak away for a walk as well as try to find a different place to have lunch or dinner. I stumbled onto a place called Allen Burger Venture which had some of the best burgers that I have ever eaten. Take a look! ABV menu This is the #1, which has forest mushroom and cambozola cheese with a brandy peppercorn sauce. Amazing!! I'm salivating just thinking about it! And the homemade tater tots with scallion sour cream dip were also to die for! This is the #5 - Jif peanut butter, bacon, pickled jalapenos and white cheddar. Hungry yet? Finally, this is one of their 'Featured burgers" - the Parma Proscuitto. This one had proscuitto wrapped around it with Urbani white truffled creamed cheese and arugula. The fries were okay, but if I go again, I'll stick with those awesome tots! So good!

Same here, boldikus...I forgot about that piece of sh%t and that it was actually an (early) Intamin creation! Also, I think that there are a lot of you on here that like to drink beer or liquor at a theme park? You are the one's that I'd want to hang out with at a park! -

^ For real? That seems rather odd as I can't say that I've read a lot of claims that people get nauseous from a standard first drop on a wooden coaster -

My turn to belly up to the geek bar... 1. What is the name of your home park? Midway Park – a small state park that I visit like never – other than to do community service for my job (clean it up in the spring) 2. Do you own a coaster related T-shirt? No coaster shirts, but a couple of vintage park shirts (CP, Epcot Center, Kings Dominion and Canada's Wonderland) 3. Do you enjoy Vekoma SLCs? Sure...and I also enjoy having my n%ts stepped on by a dominatrix 4. Name the first 3 coasters that come to mind. Maverick, MF and Whatever Streak 5. One park you would definitely never go back to is... Geauga Lake 6. Have you ever ridden a drop tower taller than 200 feet? The ones at CP, KI and KD 7. What is your favorite roller coaster? Maverick/El Toro (tie) 8. When you go to a park three things you must have with you are...Wallet, keys and camera 9. How many times did you visit your home park last season? Once - for spring clean up. My team members got to ride the train while I was hauling leaves...BOOOOO!!!!! 10. The first Intamin coaster you rode is... I have not a clue 11. Have you ever spent an entire day at a park alone? Yes, Geauga Lake - the season that it closed 12. The independent park you go to the most is...Waldameer (although it should be Knoebels) 13. Does B&M or Intamin make better hyper coasters? That's a tough one, but I'd have to go with Intamin for Ride of Steel, Superman (or whatever the f&ck they're calling it this year) at SFNE & Skyrush. 14. If it was free, what upcharge ride what you jump on right now? That Sky Scraper deal that they used to have at Challenge Park at CP. Looked cool but never rode it 15. What is the best food at your home park? I don't even think that they serve food. I pretty much consider CP to be my “home park” so there I would say the old Happy Friar fries topped with cheese 16. The name of the worst GCI you've ridden is... I had to Google this because I wouldn't know a GCI from a CCI or Dinn...I'll go with Gwazi because it really lived up to the hyped-up POS everyone on here said it was 17. When you're not riding something at your home park where are you? At home or work 18. Favorite water ride in a dry park (flume, rapids, etc) The flume and rapids rides at Island of Adventure - Popeye & Dudley 19. Do you get your photo taken with park mascots? Peppermint Patty at Cedar Point – because you know...lesbian 20. Name one personal item you've lost at a park. Nothing, but my camera screen cracked on Diamondback from being in my pocket and hitting the restraint during some floaty airtime 21. Name of the worst B&M invert you're ridden is...La Vampyre...only because it's at La Ronde 22. Name your favorite steel coaster under 125 feet tall. Maverick 23. Name your favorite coaster/ride manufacturer? Pinfari (just to be a tool) 24. What waterpark have you visited most often? Probably Soak City 25. The name of the fastest wooden coaster you have ridden is... El Toro (I think) 26. What is the name of the flat ride you've ridden the most? Total lifetime would probably be the Tilt A Whirl 27. Name a ride-related injury you have suffered. Just black and blue marks from restraints. I also bashed my shin on that f%cking bar on the front seat of Gatekeeper last year. Also thought I punctured my lung or cracked a rib on SOB, but I lived 28. Favorite Halloween event at a park? Conneaut Lake - because it is so deliciously ghetto 29. Name the most recent Arrow ride or coaster you've been on...I think it was Anaconda at KD 30. Name of your favorite ride that never leaves the ground (safari, train, bumper cars, etc) Skooters at Knoebels – hands down 31. What ride makes you laugh the most? Same as the answer above. I am always freaking dying laughing on that ride 32. How many RMC's have you ridden? Wicked Cyclone – yeah, I know...I suck 33. Best flat that goes over 100 feet is...Maxair/Skyhawk tie 34. When you are on your way to your home park what is one worry that you might have? What if their draft beer selection sucks this year? 35. Favorite park that is NOT your home park - Cedar Point, Hershey or BGT 36. How many different parks did you go to last season? I think three (CP, KD and DL) 37. The indoor coaster/dark ride you ride most often is...Flight of Fear, but I admit that I didn't ride the one at KD this past year 38. When you spend the day at the park what do you drink all day? Mostly beer with an occasional water if it's hot 39. The name of the best B&M you've ridden is? Tough one...maybe Montu at BGT 40. Name three other forum members that will fill this out... I would like to request coasterbill to get drunk and fill this out (Edit - damn, I think he did it while sober!). Other than that, I'd guess DoinItForTheFame and michaelynn4. -

I don't understand why America doesn't have those awesome Asian toilets. When I went to South Korea for business, I literally sat on the toilet for like 20 minutes at the hotel trying out (most of) the features! Seriously...we NEED these in America!!!
