  1. The worst is the GRRRIINNNNDDD SMASH SMASH EEEEEKKKKK KABOOM! That Colossus at Thorpe Park is getting. Add to that the screams of pain and it's a hideous sounding ride. My favourite is the ROARRRR that Dragon Khan has, or the sound of a Rocket's launch. VRRROOOMMMM
  2. Well, I've only been on Dinosaur and I reallly liked it. To be fair it was 5 years ago and I thought that loud bangs and dark were scary and therefore a good, thrilling ride. But, I think it's going to have to go with Spiderman. Just a POV of it blew me aways so think what the real ride would do.... But, I'll leave off voting until I've ridden both (so, in just over two weeks).
  3. I've done a Kiddie Coaster 20 times in one day before, and I wasn't even a kid. Now that is sad.
  4. Yep, Oblivion. Soon to be Sheikra as well. Do you live here in England?
  5. I'm off over to Florida in July and have got two days down for Universal. IOA on the 10th and the Studios on the 14th (done because our book told us Monday and Friday were the quietest for each). Now, I just have a few questions. 1. At this time of year the parks shut at 10. Now, I was thinking about maybe leaving the Studios at 6 and getting an extra four hours at IOA. Is this wise? 2. The Express passes, is there any free ones left? Also, how much would I be looking at spending on the costing one? 3. How busy do you think the parks will be? Also, what about Sea World and Busch, how busy do they get? Thanks. Oh, and while I know it's a good idea to stay at an onsite hotel (we did it at Port Aventura last year and the ride access was amazing) my dad's too cheap!
  6. I'm 16 now. I must have been 8 when I first rode Twin Looper at American Adventure. I'd been doing Kiddie Coasters my whole life, but they don't really count!
  7. Oblivion at Alton Towers, the Saturday just gone. A-m-azing. All down the drop.
  8. Other than the new trains on Nash, which I thought were really nice. Certainly not taken anything away from the ride and the seatbelts on Rollercoaster which do nothing, there is also a new 4D attraction in the Black Hole (?) area that costs £3 a shot, so I didn't do it. Oh, and if you haven't been since 2003, Bling will be new as well.
  9. Both Big Dipper and Grand National at Blackpool nearly killed me on Saturday. It's a shame, because Nash was back to being a killer ride, but it nearly smashed my back open. And the new restraints tighten too much which is annoying.
  10. Ah, I'm so sorry. I've been quite lucky with death, I've never lost a close clasmate. But, Christmas 03 my sister's best friend was killed in a drink driving accident half a mile down the road. All three in the car were killed. The scary thing is, both my sisters should have been in that car but my Mum had made them stay in as she'd discovered they'd been smoking. So close to being an only child. So, I suppose smoking has saved me from losing two siblings.
  11. My favourite shows are- Friends Will and Grace Simpsons Family Guy Desperate Housewives Third Rock from the Sun Red Dwarf
  12. Waltzers are the rides of the Devil. I've vowed to never ride one again. Quite a few flats make me feel ill at fairs- Move Its are horrible for making me sick for example. It's less sick and more dizzy though for me. I have a really sensitive head. It's another reason I prefere Parks to Fairs, they run their Flats on bad settings most of the time there's not enough time to get sick. Yay! The only time I've ever been ill after a coaster was Colossus at Thorpe Park in 2003. To be fair we had been on 10 times via Single Rider in about 30mins, so that's 100 inversions in 20 mins, made me feel very ill. That, and it was boiling hot and I hadn't had a drink all day so I was very dehydrated. I'll blame it on the crappy Intamin though

There was a total of just over 300 discs last time I counted about 5 months ago. Not bad for only being 16.
  14. England (duh) Wales Germany France Spain Ibiza Tenerife Fuerterventura Lanzarote USA- Florida. Ireland (although to be fair it was for a very short time, 50mins to be precise) I only really liked Florida and Wales.
  15. Stealth at Thorpe Park. It's OK... nothing too special.
  16. OK then, well yesterday I headed down to Thorpe Park with a few members of Coasterforce to try out their new Intamin ride Stealth. The day was busy, the weather was very "meh" but the rides were good and the day was great. So, after arriving at the park at getting my annual pass (that took forever) it was about 10:30 so it was straight to Stealth for a 45min wait, including time to queue for the front. The ride itself is pretty good, a nice launch, the Top Hat's quite fun, but it's all over much to quickly. There is a fair amount of Ejector Airtime on the ride though for something as short as Stealth, (the best Airtime is at the front). Stealth from "The Sunken Garden" area- Stealth from the Station Area- Looking back at the Station Area- After that we wondered around for a bit and ended up on the Log Flume, followed by Rush, the park's S&S Swing. It's a very good ride, with a lot of Airtime as long as you have a loose restraint! The Lap Bars are a blessing and so is the lack of spinning. From the queue- A bunch of happy riders at the top of a swing. After that I think it was the B&M Invert, Nemesis Inferno. A train on a Wingover- The vertical loop- Next we were going to ride Detonator, the park's awesome Drop Tower, but the queue was too long which was a real shame as it's one of my all time favourtie rides. We were also going to ride Colossus, the Intamin Looper, but the queue was too long once more. Noone was really bothered about that TBH. After that I lose track of what we did, but I know we hit up X:/No Way Out, which is so bad, it's awesome. We also rode Tidal Wave, which on such a cold day was possibly not the best idea, but it was great fun. Most people got soaked, but I was wearing an embarrassing poncho, so no worries there! We rode Stealth again- And then finished on Rush- That was it, and all though we barely got on anything, it was a great day. Enjoy!
  17. No-one else seems to like the new Producers movie, yet it's quite possibly my favourite movie of all time. It's just so hilarious it's untrue.
  18. Kumali at Flamingoland always appealed to my immature side. It's more it's pet name though, Kummy.
  19. Hurukan Condor at Port Aventura. You have to love tilting 330ft up, then WHEEE!!! Phantasialand's Mystery Castle and Thorpe's Detonator are good but just don't compare.
  20. OK then, update time. For one, I've got a name and some information... Disney have recently teamed up with the one and only Six Flags to bring you a joint park, combining Disney's theme and Six Flags' rides. Anyway, the update. Here's the starts of Tomorrow City, basiclly Tomorrow Land, but as a city (hence the huge amount of buildings) And later on... work still going on Gadget's Go-Coaster in Fantasyland (I can't remember if I've shown this, ah well, here it is again) I just changed Swiss Family into a Roto Drop so it looked more Tree-ish. Next, the new enclosed Top Spin, named Indiana Jones: Firefall (so what, Paramount wanted a bit of the action as well) And to end it all, The Docks area, set in Tommorow City as the port area, contains Nemo's Submarines and a nice, calm setting away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the area. As always, enjoy and comment. Remember, it's a Work In Progress.
  21. Rita: Queen of Speed at Alton Towers. Last Saturday. Back row. She's still as awesome as last May.
  22. Colossus down at Thorpe has aged appallingly. It's only four years old, but it's torture to ride. It seems a lot slower now then it did back when I first rode in '03 as well. Plus, the horrid new restraints... *throws up*
  23. Air at Alton Towers. It still sucks.
  24. This piece of awesomeness at Gulluiver's The Cheese Factory- a ride themed to both food and cute animals.
  25. It really is an awesome ride. Some great forces and lots of lovely visuals. It's just a damn shame it's so unreliable. Thorpe need to sort some things out (training their ops would be a start...)
