  1. Black Hole- Alton Towers Flying Fish- Thorpe Park Space Mountain: La la la de la la- Disneyland Paris (though just rethemed) Klondike: Drayton Manor (just moved though) I'm sure there's one more but I can't remember it.
  2. Woodie- Stampida's drop into the photo in the back. Grand National's double- drop Both are pretty insane and Airtime- filled. Steel- Oblivion's drop. Dragon Khan's first drop has some awesome floater on it. Other- Hurukan Condor, 330ft of pure bliss.
  3. Update time! Yep, finished Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I'm very happy with it, but lets see what ya'll think. The entrance area, ala WDW's. A bit. Finale 80ft drop into a pitch black tunnel, followed by 2 high speed helixes. Inspired by Everest. This is the back side of Thunder, with the "Parallel Lifts" seen. A quick overview from the front. A small preview of Fantasyland with The Matter Hatter's Tea Party shown. The space opposite is now home to the Gadget's Go- Coaster. Last, another shot of Adventureland, with the drop of Pirates of the Caribbean shown. Enjoy, and another update will appear at least before Friday.
  4. Here's a Disney park I started a while ago, and have carried on with. This is NOT a clone of any parks, but is how I would build a Magic Kingdom-style park. First off, Canyon Blaster, the new family Intamin located near the entrance to Fronteirland. http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/5841/scr35of.png Next up is Splash Mountain, which I'm still working on. Most of the surrounding area is unfinished, so here it is in it's unfinished state. Enjoy. http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/701/scr48sv.png Next, Dinosaur: Drop To Extinction, a small B&M Dive Machine located in Adventureland. Loosed basely on Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom, this ride starts off in a research center, but comes to a terrifying conclusion when you realise you have been transported back to the dinosaur times, and the meteor is coming! ARGGGH! http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/8345/scr56ho.png This is The Swiss Family Tree House, a family shot tower themed as a giant tree house. Not a lot more to say- http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/3923/scr62ay.png Finally, we have A Park Overview. We can see Space Mountain alone at the bottom, Splash in the right hand corner, the Entrance, Main Street and Castle in the top corner, with Adventurland next to it. To the left we have the beginnings of Fantasyland. http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/6915/scr70cm.png So, enjoy and any comments/ criticisms appreciated but be nice. The next update will be soon... I have Big Thunder nearly finished, and once it's utterly finished, I'll post some piccies of that.
  5. Hurukan Condor is awesome, but very scary. Ferris Wheels are my biggest fear. I'd ride Kingda Ka and be less afraid than on a 30ft Ferris Wheel. I'm not sure why...
  6. It's an awesome park, you'll have a wicked time. Do NOT miss (in order): Hurukan Condor Dragon Khan Stampida (I think Red's the better of the two) Templo Del Fuego Tutuki Splash Sea Odyssey Grand Canyon Rapids Silver River Flume Every other ride in the park Diablo (it's that bad) My hint would be, if you're there for opening, run to Dragon Khan (it'll be walk-on, many people stop at Tutuki), do that for half an hour then when Mexico opens, go and do Hurukan a few times. After that, ride Stampida and then go round the whole park doing everything else.
  7. I do a fair amount of Mountain walking, but we don't have too many interesting ones over here. Next year I'm climbing Kilimanjaro though, which will be awesome.
  8. A Spinning Wild Mouse in Hyde Park on 29th Dec- that's depressing.
  9. London's horrid. It took us 3 1/2 hours to get to the Eye from here. 1 hour to London, 2 1/2 hours crossing it. *Shudder* I never want to do that again. Shame I'll be doing it again in 30-odd days....
  10. I was a guinea pig for Spin Doctor up in Blackpool which is a Booster. They kept having restraint problems, send us off, back on, made us switch seats and everything else they could think of until they let us ride, but they didn't do anything different to all the times they'd said it was too dangerous. That was a bit scary.
  11. 7:20: Woke up and put "Friends" on 8:50: Actually got up and got dressed 9:00: Went on internet 9:30: Went upstairs and got my portable DVD player and Final Destination 2 9:35: Watched Final Destination while sat at the computer surfing and changing "The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole" into a half hour script for Drama 11:00: Took DVD player and DVD back upstairs 11:05: Continued surfing and working And later I will be... 12:35: Get train to Northampton 12:45: Arrive 12:55: Arrive at shops, search for Corpse Bride DVD 14:00: Go and see Final Destination 3 16:00: Catch train home
  12. Grrr... back from a quick shopping trip and there was this one guy I could have hit. I was standing there waiting to buy... Tampons (not for me of course) and the guy in front of me started talking to the cashier and they ended up talking for ten minutes while a large line grew. Those people annoy the hell out of me.
  13. Temple del Fuego is the most awesome flame related attraction I've ever done. It's a lot better than Valhalla, which I thought sucked.
  14. I honestly don't know why I hate it so, probably because it's worshipped by everyone else, while I find it disappointing and just... sucky. Maybe hate's a bit of a strong word... extremely dislike with an absolute passion and I hope it implodes soon. I like most other coasters, except Air. I really love the rides that aren't as liked as things such as Nemesis, because I'm a big fan of One Hit Wonders. Rita, Oblivion and The Big One are my favourites.
  15. I personally hate it and think it sucks. I'm not sure why but I just loathe it with a passion. I'm obviously in the minority.
  16. --Your 2005 year in review: Awesome year. I did three times as many trips this year as last year, at one a week. Not bad seeing as I'm over an hour from any decent rides. --Your first coaster of the year: Crazy Mouse at a fair. --Your last coaster of the year: The same Crazy Mouse at a different fair. --Best new steel to me: Rita: Queen Of Speed, Alton Towers. --Best new wood to me: Stampida, Port Aventura --Best new flat ride to me: Hurukan Condor, Port Aventura --Best new water ride to me: River Quest, Phantasialand --Best new dark ride/walk through to me: Mystery Castle, Phantasialand... does that even count? --Best new park to me: Port Aventura --Best overall park "trip" of the year: Either a dead Blackpool in April, or a very quiet Thorpe Park in July. --Worst new attraction (any kind) to me of the year: Valhalla, Blackpool. Awful effects, awfully wet. --Best event at a park: The only event I did was Halloween at Thorpe. --Best non-event day at a park: July, Thorpe Park. Very quiet, with some great company. Or Chessington in Sep. --Best non-park related moment of the year: Many a Pizza Hut post parks. --Best Amusement related news of the year: The news of The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ride. --Worst Amusement related news of the year: Astroworld closing. --Ride that I had to rethink my opinion of in 2005: Nemesis. Thought it was 'OK' at the start of the year... now I LOATHE it. --Hopes for 2006: Not too many. I'm looking forward to Florida, but other than that it'll probably be a much quieter year.
  17. King Kong SUCKS. They could of, heck, should of done it in two hours, yet Jackson had to make another film that's longer than most animals take to evolve. It dragged so badly. It was an hour of dull dialogue followed by two and a half hours of CGI action sequences. It was so boring, I was desperate for it to end about half way through, but it just kept going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going... get it?
  18. Agreed, I saw it yesterday and loved it. I haven't seen the play unfortunately, but I still really enjoyed it. Lane was brilliant, as always, Broderick's funny again and Ferrel's at his best for a while now. I didn't realise he could sing. Same for Thurman.
  19. Animal Kingdom Epcot MGM Magic Kingdom Old Town (possibly) Cypress Gardens (possibly) BGT IOA USF Sea World Alton Towers Chessington Thorpe Park Blackpool Pleasure Beach Disneyland Paris Disney Studios Gulliver's Land Oakwood (possibly) Should be an excellent year with at least 5 new parks.
  20. Donkey Konga and Bongos for £18. There's Something About Mary DVD for £4. A token for a ride on a Round Up for £1. All of that yesterday.
  21. I'm going to my Grandma's... yeah, extreme I know .
  22. It really screams Rita with a Top Hat to me, which is awesome seeing as it's my favourite coaster. I'm so jealous of everyone who gets to ride.
  23. 1. Port Aventura 2. Disneyland Paris 3. Thorpe Park 4. Phantasialand 5. Magic Kingdom 6. Chessington World of Adventures 7. MGM Studios 8. Blackpool Pleasure Beach 9. Drayton Manor 10. Alton Towers
