Band in middle school (6th, 7th, and 8th), quit halfway through summer before starting 9th grade. I am a big fan of Purdue's march band, well, more a fan of their bass drum. I am going to a football game this fall just for the band. There is a Purdue band member on these forums (or was, he might have since graduated).

CP opens up tomorrow, Rides still being removed. Is anyone going? I wanna see a trip report of how the park changed....and sad I might not ever get the Starliner credit. http://www.newschief.com/article/20090327/NEWS/903275021/1024/ENTERTAINMENT?Title=Cypress-Gardens-new-day-at-hand -

The Coke bottle.....born in Terre Haute Indiana (the current bottle design). It was designed at the Root Glsss Company I believe. Sadly, the plant is no longer there or no longer a glass factory. The person who designed this was offered a 500 dollar bonus or a lifetime job with the glass company. He choose the lifetime job, which he was let go of in 1930 when the company was bought out. Sorry for long quote. Came from wikipedia. Coke did have a prototype can that was similiar tot he bottle, but was limited to very little production and distrubution which included Terre Haute, Sadly, I don't remember htis, if I did, I drank it and threw the can out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola#Local_competitors

Why a sorry excuse. 1. Held in an college arena, but very small. 2. No dirt was on the floor, so trucks were on the sliding like they were on ice. 3. Free style ran three trucks, one truck was broke, I have no idea about the other. But as I said, I got the tickets for free, so I am not complaining too much. Anyway, onto the pictures. The end...Gas to show, at most 2 dollars. Tickets nothing, it was an okay show....but I prefer the fairgrounds version where the trucks have room to get speed. Pretty descent photo. Now they brought two trucks out. Freestyle...or lame style as it should have been called. More motocross. More motocross. Lets see, I could have used the wheels, the truck w/spoiler and front bumper for my car....what a waste. This is the bigger atv's, the girl in the pink shirt won the second race by just getting out first, they couldn't pass her because of no traction. They spun out. Follow the leader or spin out if you got too fast. ATVs. This is as far as this one got. Some car crushing time. Motocross Big foot. A truck I actually know, Monster Patrol, There was also Big foot, Chevy Clidesdale, Undertaker (never ran), and eliminator. The set up, Ramp for motocross, monster trucks, they also had atv races, well, not really races as there was no room to pass, and the atv's were going 30 mph at most.

Voyage, not Voyager.....I have to hold myself back from correcting people at Holiday World when they call it the Voyager. -

What time of year and days? Weekdays in May/Early June, Late August and later. Very Min for most coasters (except Holidays). Weekends, can get long, depends. Late June, July, Early August Weekdays are busy, Weekends are usually insane. As for reducing lines for other rides, not neccesarily I would think. BTW, Water park is insane on weekends when hot. Like 45-an hour wait for most slides. I don't go to Hw during peak time. -
A person who works at my f/t job has been fired/or quit (I choose fired for not showing up two days in a row and other things). I have never been so happy, she was annoying, dumb, and very wierd.

On the second Saturday of the season that they're opening their largest coaster ever? I'd budget more time if I were you. I've been there on opening days where no new rides opened and the place was SLAMMED. Granted I've never been there on the second weekend of the season, but with the new big coaster opening up it could get quite crowded. It is not opening up on opening weekend? -

Honestly though, if it was a large company, how would someone not know you weren't part of the company. I plan on going during a public day though. Where is the Grove when compared ot KI? -

I have never been to the park while rides are open and can't wait until April 25th. I will probably get all the rides in early, be done by 1pm and walk around the park taking video/pictures until 4 and be home by 7. I figure the park won't be busy. BTW, Season pass holders get in half hour early right? I am almost off the fence on buying one, but that will get me off it. -
When you are watching TV Land network and see shows that you remember watching when they were new.....then you can complain about being old. Or you can remember the days of Looney Toons, good shows on Nickelodeon (Hey Dude, Clarissa Explains it all, You Can't do that on TV and shows like that), and cars that had the aerodynamics of a brick, then you can say you are old...... Or you remember seeing Jeff (oldjjman) as a kid (back in the Ice Age).
