  1. I remember reading about the Japan ride. It was supposed to be like a simulated train ride I believe. This latest update reminds me that I failed to go into the Wonders Of Life pavilion during Food and Wine this year. I know there isn't anything left but it will be like driving by the old house you grew up in as a kid.
  2. It sounds like a combination of poor planning and inter-departmental communication on Busch's part. Add to that being the first year and it looks like they have a lot of work to do to improve this event. Anyways, it is okay to say negative things about a park, guys. It is one thing to come on here and just say..."I went to so and so park today and it sucked so you have to listen to me rant!". He presented a well constructed story which proved there was some validity to his complaints. I have to agree here, two penguins in a fricking tank?!? Oh, and congrats on the engagement!
  3. Yep, it was an .mp4 file. I kept getting a message that it couldn't recognize it as a movie file. It is likely an issue on my end with the Safari browser. I have had some problems with it in the past. I couldn't even get it to download Coaster Expedition 2 with Safari last time. Had to use Firefox then as well.
  4. Downloaded it once with Safari and I couldn't get Quicktime to recognize the file. Tried it again using my Firefox browser and had no problems. Watching it now! Thanks again guys!
  5. It is possible, if it was in fact the loading station in the video, that they just set that up for a promotional shot. Having the exit station is essential to the ride maintaining its capacity. I don't see how changing that could improve operations at all.
  6. I had a buddy who went to Germany a couple of years ago and they were able to take a boat cruise down the Rhine River. You are right, this area of the country looks absolutely amazing!
  7. Yes, I really do appreciate you taking the time today to post all these updates! Especially, when you are stuck at home while Robb is off having fun in Vegas.
  8. ^Like Elissa said, she will be updating this over the next couple of days. Call it a hunch, but I have a feeling you will be seeing this in the next update.
  9. It turns out my package from TPR wasn't heroin. (as originally suspected) Loving it so far, great job! I'll post a review of all three DVDs at some point in the future. Mmmm, Fireball! Let's check out what this Raw business is all about. What a surprise! I had three TPR DVDs waiting for me at home. (TPR hoodie was not included)
  10. Very impressed! I was about to ask if you were an architect or an artist, but you already answered that above.
  11. Sent my 1st ballot in! Top ten: 1) Boulder Dash 2) My favorite steel (S:ROS at SFNE) 3) Phoenix 4) El Toro 5) Lightning Racer (Thunder) 6) Lightning Racer (Lightning) 7) Thunderhead 8) Georgia Cyclone 9) American Eagle 10) The Beast (Haven't ridden since 1991, so yeah...) Hmm, looks like my top 6 were all on the TPR East Coast Trip!
  12. ^^Ha! I was just about to start a spreadsheet so I could sort out my list. Then I read Robb's "Idiot Guide" and I think I will just rank my top 10 and bottom 10 and then group the others. I was mainly having a hard time with the middle of the pack and the coasters I loved but only rode as a kid, but I know aren't that great now. (i.e. Colossus, the Beast)
  13. I'll post a picture with mine as soon as I get it, while wearing the TPR hoodie I got last month. How about that?
  14. Pretty cool that you were able to take several weeks to see so much of Europe before the Scandinavia trip. I bet it sucked going back to work after this trip. Enjoying everything so far and looking forward to the rest!
  15. I really enjoyed Splash Battle at Dollywood, so this looks like it will be a great addition for SDC.
  16. Excellent collection! Can't wait to check them all out!
  17. Yes, the prayer book photo is absolutely epic! I mean come on people, Intamin Mega Lite is a much more important prayer request than the "woman that entered the chapel before me".
  18. I would like to add a HUGE thank you to Michael Roddy and Mark Patterson for taking the time to give us a great backstage tour! And of course, thanks to Robb and Elissa for setting it up! What an amazing day that was, I am an HHN virgin no more!
  19. I definitely need to go to Oktoberfest at some point in my life. Really enjoyed reading through your report. Europa Park looks awesome as usual!
  20. Love Robb's expression in this photo. Oh, and love the TR so far Hanno! Robb: Holy crap! There is some kind of mutating slime growing out of my crotch! chuck: Oh my god! Stay still and I'll smack it with with this sword!
  21. 2009 wasn't nearly as productive as 2008. Dollywood Six Flags Over Georgia Sea World Orlando Old Town All the Disney World Parks Busch Gardens Tampa Both Universal Orlando Parks
  22. Well, you got a Big Lebowski reference, (and a brilliant one at that!) so I'd say this was another sucessful PTR from you!
  23. I have the Spawning at the bottom of the list. This is mainly due to the fact that I just can't remember much about it. If I had to rank the houses I would go: 1) Chucky (just pure fun) 2) Frankenstein 3) Saw 4) Dracula 5) Silver Screams 6) Leave it to Cleaver 7) Wolfman (mainly due to terrible timing and missing every scare) 8) The Spawning
  24. Yes! Thank you for the ninja store photo. I think this should be a requirement for all Gatlinburg TRs from now on. They are definitely the highlight of any Gatlinburg trip, just ahead of the place with all the different types of salsa.
  25. Chuck, glad we got to hang out some last week. Looking forward to the rest of the TR!
