How did you manage to get a picture of that hippo in the pink shirt... so close... like right up her butt?? How did she not notice? -kip- -

What is your favorite band?
Mind Eraser replied to SonOfBeastSucks's topic in Random, Random, Random
Allison, Rob Zombie is great! He does great music and great movies. I loved House of 1000 Corpses, and I can't wait to see Devil's Rejects. Have you seen either of the two (is Devil's Rejects even out in theaters yet?)? House of 1000 Corpses was so twisted, even for me! -kip- -
Ken, I feel your pain, man. I remember when I started this hobby. I was 12 and my family didn't have the internet! I got all my news from *GASP* ACE News! And I spent countless hours calling and writing to parks asking for brochures and stuff. Without the net, this was such a slow-moving hobby. These coasters were so much more mysterious back then. The best was getting off the schoolbus and checking the mail, hoping that I would get something coaster related. Aww, those were the days. -kip-

I fell in love with the Pepsi Max drink when I was over in the UK. I didn't believe it was diet because it was really sweet; but, apparently, it has no sugar? Yum. -kip- -
What is your favorite band?

Without a doubt, my favorite band has been Marilyn Manson for almost 10 years. No one else has come remotely close. -kip- (loves that industrial goth stuff) -
Here is a song I am *NOT* listening to: "Step Yo Game Up" by Snoop, Lil Jon, & Trina I really tried to like it because Trina is in it (and I LOVE Trina!), but this song is the most vile piece of garbage I have ever heard. I could possibly handle the degradation... if Jon wasn't SCREAMING the words. His voice makes me shudder with disgust. On a positive note, I do like the song's beat and synths. -kip-

J2 [NL]
Mind Eraser replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Kenshinmac - thanks for the help. I'm a computer retard. I think I changed the screenshots to jpg's, so I will try and attach them with this post. CoasterDude5 - thanks for the kind words. I'm pretty satisfied with my track. One thing I am disappointed with is how the NL version doesn't convey nearly how freakin' crazy and intense J2 is! [Note: It appears the screenshots have attached properly. Only problem is, they are big... I hope not too big? However, I would rather not resize them because my photo resizer is crap and it blurs the pic a bit after resizing] -kip- -
For those of you interested in J2: The Coaster Formerly Known as Tsunami, at Clementon Park - here is your chance to take a virtual ride. I have made a fairly accurate recreation in NoLimits. I've attached the track file; I wanted to attach screenshots, but it says .bmp files not allowed. How do you change pictures to .jpg? Anyhoo, enjoy, and let me know what you think. -kip-

My graduating class had about 400-500 kids in it. Most were white, but there were a lot of blacks. Not a whole lot of asians - for some reason, most of the asian kids went to this other school in the area. Very little hispanic population. I guess there were so many black kids because of where we lived. Baltimore is 10 minutes north and DC is 30-40 minutes south. The whole area I live in is bizarre. It's the 4th Most Affluent County in the country (we recently surpassed our rival, Montgomery County), so there are lots of mansions and stuff, but they also put subsidized housing (usually poor black families) in the middle of everything to try and "blend" people. You can be driving and pass a $5million house, then suddenly everything turns ghetto. It's so weird. Demographics are fun, yay! -kip-

Dennis, if you really wanna try one, hit up Wild Adventures (Valdosta, Georgia). Their swing is free too! That's closer than Kennywood -kip- -
Hola, Kip here - DenDen inspired me to post. I too write, compose, and remix music on the computer. I specialize in electronic, industrial, rock, etc. I have a really good remix that I'm very proud of, but I can't find it on my computer anymore , I'll have to import it from the CD I burned it to. In the meanwhile, I started remixing Britney Spears' "Oops! I Did It Again". It's a very fun remix. Even if you don't like Britney, give the remix a listen, cuz it's total electronic. I sort of switched up the song genre a bit. Some parts are breakbeat, the chorus is house. Anyhoo, I hope you like it. http://home.comcast.net/~kipross/oops_kip.zip I'll post some more remixes later. -kip-

I'm Czech (and I think Russian) on my dad's side. My mom's side, I don't know all of it, but I think some British. My grandfather was Jewish. His birth name was Greenberg; but then he was adopted by a Rosenbaum. He didn't wanna sound like a Jew so he had his last name legally changed to Ross. How's that for some f**ked up genealogy? -kip-

According to the article I read, she started eating right and exercising 2 or even 3 times per day. Rock on! Face it, hail Missy, she is queen, she can do no wrong (well, her last two albums weren't as good as the two prior ) -kip-

Maybe I've experienced too much emotional trauma I guess, because as a defense mechanism, I've shut down and traumatic events don't usually get to me. Emotional trauma is weird. Doctors think that if you face it, it'll be resolved and you can go along with your life. It's not that easy, emotional scars are thicker and last longer than physical scars. -kip- -
When I was like 10 years old, my mom and I were out running errands. We stopped at Burger King and I got a Whopper Jr. Apparently the meat was bad because when we went to this clothing store next, my stomach started feeling really weird. So I panicked and ran to the bathroom. Got in there and BARFED EVERYWHERE! -kip-

Favorite Dark Ride
Mind Eraser replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think liability is a big factor as to why there are not more dark rides. Ever since Great Adventure's walk-through ride burned down (subsequently killing like 8 people), I think parks have had some trouble installing dark rides. Just recently have parks started building them at a rage. -kip- -

I don't mean to sound harsh. Just because I am not shocked doesn't mean that I don't care. I know quite a few girls that have been raped (yeah, I used to hang out with the wrong crowd). That stuff just doesn't shock me anymore. The Trade Centers falling, the Tsunamis killing 200,000 people - that shocked me. I'm very desensitized though, living between two major cities with extremely high crime rates, one can't help but stop caring, it just happens naturally. -

What are you talking about? I dunno about the UK, but rape is not uncommon in the states. This doesn't shock me one bit. -kip- -
TV Commericals that you hate the most
Mind Eraser replied to EftelingGal's topic in Random, Random, Random
I hate pretty much every commercial I see. My dad doesn't understand why I yell at the TV. Every once and awhile, there is a good one; but most are just trying to be witty and funny, and I'm like YOU ARE NOT CUTE, BITCH!! -kip- -
Vekoma Boomerang Has A Rollback?
Mind Eraser replied to PhishyBrewer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually, I don't think the tower brakes engage as the train goes up. Otherwise, it would screw up the launching sequence. The train is weighed and just enough force is used to get the train to slowly roll over the top of the hill. Obviously, this weighing/launching mechanism is not perfect or there wouldn't be so many roll backs on Hypersonic, ya know? -kip- (Been on a Flight of Fear rollback, but that was pretty dumb; I want a Volcano rollback!)
