  1. This chick can't even find the camera!
  2. Artist: Adema Song: Promises
  3. There was this song I loved back in elementary school, I used to play the game at my friend's house every day. However, I don't remember the game and I don't remember how the song went. Damn. But I stopped hanging out with this kid cuz he pooped on my floor. -kip-
  4. If I ranked coasters, Avalanche would be #1 or very close to it. It has everything I like in woodies: tons of air and those awesome highly-banked turns! Avalanche kills Hades, IMO. The only coaster, in the Dells, that comes close to Avalanche is Cyclops (which could possibly also be a #1, both are so good!) Hades is like going to a freakshow - it's amazing and mindblowing, yet feels incomplete and weird; but Avalanche is like going to Cirque du Soleil - everything is just perfect. I don't even try to rank coasters anymore, it just makes me all confused. -kip-
  5. Clair Danes - "My So-Called Life" Larissa Oleynik - "The Secret World of Alex Mack" -kip-
  6. Looks like MXC to me! -kip-
  7. Let the betting begin! Which rides will be left standing after tomorrow? I'm gonna sat Batman The Ride will be standing, and Megazeph will have damage. Oh yeah, those two S&S towers will probably be gone! -kip-
  8. Every visit to Kissimmee, when we drive by that decrepit old waterpark, first I laugh, then I wonder why they're still open. Peace out, nasty park! You won't be missed by me. -kip-
  9. SonOfBeastSucks, I just visited SFGAM and the trains on Raging Bull were braked heavily. Comparing my two visits since RB has opened... 2001: first trim gently tapped the train; mid-course brake run was off; third trim was off 2005: first trim definitely interrupted the flow; MCBR slowed the train; third was off It was definitely running better on my first visit. -kip-
  10. My SFA parking sticker usually works at other Six Flags parks. Not because it's supposed to, but because the attendants never look closely. I just point to my window sticker and they wave me through. The key is to not stop, just roll through slowly like you know what you're doing. LOL.
  11. OMFG!! GIVE US ARACHNOPHOBES SOME WARNING!! -kip-
  12. Ron Jeremy -kip-
  13. Hmm, I don't like that idea. Intamin 1st Gen's are becoming quite rare; and within a few years, most parks will already have a spinning mouse. In fact, maybe we can tally up how many 1st Gen's are left? Off the top of my head: SFGADV SFMM SFOT Himeji Central Park I think West Edmonton Mall got rid of their's. SFoG's is gone? Cedar Point and Geauga's are gonna be gone, most likely. I wanna see a 1st Gen. Freefall half buried underground! -kip-
  14. The Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up -kip-
  15. I saw her get booed at a sports game. Was that the Orange Bowl or has she been booed at two sports shows? -kip-
  16. That's like going to a horse track and complaining about the gambling. -kip-
  17. I'll agree that she rode in on her sister's coattails. Personally, I don't care for her voice, but I wouldn't say she "can't sing". Her voice is different, that's all. Take Macy Gray - I can't stand her voice, but she does have singing ability. As for Ashlee getting booed, this was all after her SNL performance, when everyone was on the "Let's Hate Ashlee" bandwagon. -kip-
  18. The whole Anti-Ashlee thing is so unnecessary. She did what what almost every other performer does - singing along with a recording of your own voice. It makes the vocals stronger and sound better. It's hard to sound good when you're also bouncing around and dancing. People went way overboard with the whole "lipsync" thing. -kip-
  19. 8 days in the Midwest. 2 days in the Dells. 2 days at SFGAM. 1 day at Indiana Beyotch. I don't even know where to begin. I don't take notes, so after a week or so, I'm surprised I remember anything! This was a trip centered around woodies. I don't really travel for steel anymore, which is funny because I used to really dislike wooden coasters when I first got into this hobby, and now, it's basically all I care about. Let's start with Mount Olympus. Everything about MO confused me. Everything from the lack of a front gate to the latino party music playing (in a Greek-themed park?). Went straight to Hades first, I had to see what all the hype was about. It had an hour wait, so I went and rode Cyclops and Zeus. I fell in love with Cyclops. It had two great intense moments of air, and one fucking insane drop at the end. Did it live up to my expectations? Oh, most definitely. Next was Zeus. I heard it had gotten pretty rough, but I didn't find it any rougher than most woodies. It was a nice scenic experience, but this out-n-back woodie was rather dull. No interesting negative G's. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good. It was just sort of forgettable. I sucked it up and hopped in the long Hades line. Just like the park in general, Hades had me confused. First, there is like two coasters: BEFORE the lift and AFTER the lift. The pre-lift track was great. The post-lift track was just a complete freakshow. The 140 foot drop was sorta blah. The tunnel had me scared shitless though. I don't think I have ever squeezed a coaster's handlebars *that* tight. My knuckles were white as we exited the tunnel. The turnaround was okay, I guess. The second time through the tunnel was just as crazy. The rest of the coaster was "meh". I love airtime, and Hades didn't have any extreme pops or anything (aside from the beginning doubledown). Lots of weightless moments, but nothing I would consider impressive. It loses point for the lack of air, but it gains some points back for the intensity level. It's definitely one of *the* most intense rides I've *ever* ridden. But in the end, I feel it's more of a freakshow than a great, full-fledged coaster. Lastly at MO, we have Pegasus. Before riding, I thought Pegasus was a kiddie woodie; but no, it's more of a junior woodie. It was very fun. Perfect coaster to introduce wood to young people. Moving on - we come to Timber Falls. Timber Falls isn't really a park, it's basically a bunch of wooden walkways going under and over attractions. It really is a beautiful FEC. The flume was long, gorgeous, and just all around fantastic. But the star attraction is Avalanche. However, I'm not sure how popular the coaster is. Over two days of visiting Timber Falls and riding Avalanche, I saw no more than a total of five riders in the station. Anyway, the coaster is freaking *AMAZING*. Probably my favorite coaster in the Dells. Avalanche is all air and highly-banked turns. It's just so much fun! But, unfortunately, like it's brother in Jersey, it looked like a pure crap design. The way the train traversed each turn just felt *wrong*. I wonder how long this coaster will stay "intact"? Six Flags Great America is *such* a wonderful park. It's actually much smaller than I remembered. I added SFGAM to my trip for two reasons: Whizzer and Viper. I heard whispers that SFGAM is going to remove Whizzer after this season (even after all the hoopla in '03). So, I couldn't take a chance, I had to go back and ride it. Everything about Whizzer is just so... lovable. The big ramp of a first drop is a h00t, and the rest of the twisting and turning track is pretty exciting. Not to mention, its beautiful lush setting. Unfortunately, I only got one ride on Viper (/cry) because when I went back on day two, the line was horrendously long. Now that Hurricane Harbor is open, the dry park seems to get swamped after people start leaving the waterpark, later in the day! Viper, for the most part was awesome! Way too many pops of great air. The only part that annoyed me was how the chain *almost* brings the train to a stop at the top of the lift. In the front car, you are given a rather blah drop. Raging Bull, I got two rides. The second ride confirmed what I thought the first ride: this ride is pretty much a snore. It was almost boring, partially thanks to the trims. The trim on the third hill was on *heavy* and the MCBR trim was actually on (I don't recall it being on in '01). Regardless, the first two hills were great, but the rest just didn't do it for me. Oh, and the my absolutely favorite part of the trip was in the Raging Bull line. There was this enormously fat dude wearing a stretched t-shirt that said "I BEAT ANOREXIA". I fucking died. Then came American Eagle. For some reason, I had really love expectations for this ride. I had ridden it last in 1995 but I didn't really remember the ride. I was totally floored at how much fun this coaster is. The first drop was massive, and there were even two or three pops of air. I really enjoyed the coaster - trims and all. The American Eagle crew needed to be retrained, though. One of the attendants was engaged in a convo with a friend, and he just decided to not check the lap bars. Whatever. That was all for SFGAM. There were actually four new "credits" I could've gotten but I took joy in not doing so. FWIW, they were the Rollerskater, Deja Vu, SUF, and the Crazy Mouse. The only one I actually wanted to ride was Deja Vu, but the line was sick. Rollerskater, meh. Crazy Mouse, meh. And SUF can eat me, I hate that ride. I can't believe they shredded Shockwave for that pile of shit. Lastly we come to Indiana Beach. We made the mistake of going on a Saturday. BIG NO NO. It was very crowded. We had lunch in the wonderful Sky Room, for the first time, too. Lost Coaster. I've ridden Lost Coaster three times since it opened, and every time, I end up having to sit backwards! That pissed me off. Locosumo kicks ass! I specifically remember a wicked doubledown near the end (although I could be wrong because I was facing backwards). We took a front seat ride on Cornball this trip. I swear I don't know what the damn hype is all about. I really don't like this coaster. Hoosier Hurricane was running great, for the first time ever, out of all of my visits. It was h00t (like Whizzer)! Hearing people around the park talking, it appears the HH is still the park's premier coaster. Jet Star and Galaxi were also h00tz. I love portable coasters. Not much more to say here. Well, I think that about covers all the rides I hit. That's all folks. -kip-
  20. No doubt, D.C. traffic can be absolutely horrible! I live about 10 minutes south of BWI and a trip to BGW took me just over SEVEN HOURS once! It should only take 3-4 hours. -kip-

  22. I have no idea how to do that, lol. I just know the very basics. It took me months to figure out the how to elevate/lower land.
  23. Thanks, BCK, I look forward to hearing your input! -kip-
  24. Walibi Goliath is definitely badass! It sort of combines the best elements from each Intamin hypercoaster. And that "Stengel Dive" - wow, it's like, where the hell did that come from? One of my favorite parts is actually the top of the second hill. The tops of most second hills are pretty uneventful, but Goliath's gave a nice shot of air. And the return bunny hops (3 of them, I think) gave great air. The second helix was a bit slow, but look at SFA and SFDL's Supermen - they have two big, flat helices. Mmm, now I need to book a flight to Holland! Thanks a lot! Grrr.
