Yeah, SFA has a couple resident retards too. There's the fat guy who dresses like a WWE wrestler and walks his invisible dog, leash and all! Then there was the younger black guy who was first in line at the gates, every day, for years. He was a riot, he would just yell at people in line. It's sad, however, that his parents opted to make SFA their son's babysitter. BTW, I think he got banned from the park. I haven't seen him in a couple years. I did witness him grabbing some girls tits once. Oh, and one day, I saw him riding Mind Eraser over and over. I asked him why, and he said he had his first kiss on the ride. -kip-

Erlebnispark Strasswalchen - PAX Custom
Mind Eraser replied to Wimmerl's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Man, I've been anticipating the opening of Wild Train all winter. It has a neat little layout. I've never had the chance to ride a PAX coaster. Is Wild Train smooth? PAX is a pretty cool company, too bad no one really buys their stuff, lol. -kip- -
Vote For Your Favorite Vekoma Avatar!
Mind Eraser replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I voted for Homer because his avatar is actually a commercial, and I love that commercial. I have it on tape somewhere in my basement from when it aired in 1994. Back when I was a nerdy 12 year old enthusiast, I used to put tapes in the VCR and just record channels for hours hoping I would get a coaster commercial on tape. Eventually, I picked up on which channels aired the commercials and what time frames. Haha, I was such a dork. -kip- -
Which is your favorite CSI series?
Mind Eraser replied to Hattuchili's topic in Random, Random, Random
I couldn't vote for my favorite. Now, if the poll was for LEAST favorite, I could have voted CSI:NY. I've tried to get into it, but I just don't. As for Miami vs. Vegas, my favorite is basically whichever one I'm watching. I'm really bummed, I missed the Vegas finale where Nick got buried alive! Did he die? Oh, also, did anyone else notice how Calleigh (Emily Proctor; Miami) came back after one season's hiatus and she had plastic surgery done on her face? She looked really different, it looked like she definitely had cheek bone implants, for one. This was a couple seasons back. Another plastic surgery I noticed was on Jerry Orbach. He had a face lift and some other shit, and then he died! What a waste of money. -kip- -
Memorable or annoying songs
Mind Eraser replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This isn't park-related, but that Fanta soda commercial with the little Fanta whores singing "Wanna Fanta? Want a Fanta!" is so aggravating. It manages to get stuck in my head for hours. It's just horrible. Kill it! -kip- -

Does IOA need expansion?
Mind Eraser replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Yeah, but I think most people think of the ride as "Jurassic Park". I know when I first visited IOA, I was in JP and I was looking for the boat ride. I said to an employee "Where's Jurassic Park?". She goes "Right here." I responded "What?" We spoke to each other confused for a second, until we realized what the hell we we both talking about. -kip- -
You have alot to learn....
Mind Eraser replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Jarmor wrote: Wait, are you admitting that you possibly just... lost your camera? Well, regardless of whether it was stolen or you lost it, you really should know better than to leave an expensive camera lying around. I'm not justifying someone stealing your camera, but you gotta have some sense of street smarts. So, basically, you're camera is gone, you're pissed off, and you have the rest of the day to spend at SFA. Your report is obviously slanted. If you're pissed at the park, all you're gonna see is negative all day. I go to SFA about once a week, and while yes, it IS bad sometimes, it's not AS bad as you're making it out to be. One thing, Jarmor, I do agree with - the game stands should not be playing rap music. A family park has no business exposing little kids to hip hop. Parents go to Six Flags in attempts to getaway with their family, and I feel they are sorta "sucker-punched" when they walk in and hear this degrading music playing. And Zoltan, hate to burst your bubble, but I've lived between Baltimore and DC for 15 years, and lemme tell you, when you go INTO the cities, you will be shocked. Baltimore is a small city, but it has roughly ONE MURDER PER DAY. Baltimore also has a rampant heroin epidemic. Not that any of this is positive, but you are far off in thinking that the East Coast "tries" to be ghetto. East Coast has nice suburbs, but the innercities can be horrible. -kip- -

I admit, Delirium was way fun; but, having ridden it a few times, I can't imagine waiting in a long CP line to ride maXair. There is so much other stuff to do. Spinny-Go-Pukey rides used to be a priority for me, but they are no longer. I guess I could see waiting for MaXair if I had like three days at the park, but not if I only had a day or two. Kennywood Report
Mind Eraser replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
DenDen, here are two pictures of the new entrance: http://tinyurl.com/b4sdo http://tinyurl.com/exmpj (The URL's were pretty long, so I shortened them. Hope they work.) -kip- -
NEW ENTRANCE The new entrance is breath-taking. I can't even describe it. Just go... go to Kennywood and see it. RACER Racer was closed. I heard that the trains are still out (didn't even bother to look while we were over there)? JACK RABBIT As "luck" would have it, we got the front car on Jack Rabbit. I was bummed because I thought the only way to experience the double-down was in the back car. Well, was I wrong? Completely! The front car gives amazing air, too! Awesome. Tubular. Cowabunga. THUNDERBOLT I never really liked Thunderbolt - that is, until Saturday. First off, the whole track appeared to be freshly painted. It was shining! It was also tracking *extremely* well, very smooth EXTERMINATOR Always gotta ride Exterminator! Even though we waited an hour (half of which was in the rain), it was worth it. I think Ext is a masterpiece - others may argue that; but, in my opinion, Kennywood turned a drab coaster into something worth waiting an hour for. Also, this was the first time I almost puked after a coaster. I got so disoriented and dizzy, when I stepped off the coaster, I stumbled and my stomach almost gave in. It was great! PHANTOM'S REVENGE Never fails to impress me. Phantom is probably the best steel coaster I've ridden. Others up there are SFoG Mindbender, Storm Runner, etc. I was thinking, it's fun to sometimes "trick" my dad into riding a coaster, but I am careful when I do that. I wouldn't *NEVER* let him on Phantom's Revenge. That was rip his back apart. Phantom's last half is probably the most violent of any hypercoaster, no? It's marvelous! PITT FALL Didn't ride. Appeared to have quite the long queue. Why would I wait like a hour for Pitt Fall when I can drive down to PKD and ride a taller Drop Zone with virtually no wait? It was hilarious, though, when I heard a girl refer to the drop ride as "Pitt Bull" SIDE NOTE I've never seen so many (extremely) underage kids smoking. And people smoked in virtually *EVERY* line we waited in. And how do so many 13-15 year old girls get pierced? I mean, I got my eyebrow and tongue pierced at age 17 using my older friend's ID, but I could easily pass for an 18+ year old. How does a 13 year old girl get pierced? Anyway, our day started with rain, but eventually turned sunny and beautiful. A fun time was had by all! Hoorah. -kip-

Just when I finally got that commercial with those slutty girls singing "Wanna Fanta? Wanna Fanta!" out of my head, I see your pictures! Damn, dude, that was harsh. I'm gonna be singing that awful jingle for another week! "Wanna Fanta? WANNA FANTA!" -kip- -
Italian job review
Mind Eraser replied to thrillrider1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As for the "Italian Job is a stupid theme" thing: Paramount often seems to give their themed coasters taglines. My best guess is so that when the theme gets too "old", they can drop it. I can picture Paramount dropping the first part and just calling it "Stunt Track". Same goes for Tomb Raider: Firefall at PKD. When they wanna get rid of the movie theme, they can call it simply "Firefall". Remember when Paramount lost the licensing for the Outer Limits brand? They just dropped the TV theme and renamed it "Flight of Fear". Six Flags did the same thing with the new spinner at SFNE. When everyone gets sick of Mr. Six, they can drop his name and call it "Pandemonium". -kip- -
Ride You Felt Was Unsafe?
Mind Eraser replied to Mr Stratosphere's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Last week, I freaked out on the Windstorm at Old Town. It was just me on the train and as we went up the lift, my car kept "bumping" really hard on the right side - like a wheel was broken or something. I swear I almost hopped out onto the lift stairs and walked down. I don't totally trust places like Old Town, honestly. The operator was like this 60 year old dirty man and he didn't even check the lap bars. I just get the feeling that no one at Old Town really "cares". So, I told myself it was all in my head and I rode. Turned out fine, but still, I was wiggin' out thinking we were gonna derail. -kip- -
Vekoma Haters
Mind Eraser replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love Vekoma. I think the Boomerang was highly innovative for it's time, and the SLC's have a wonderful layout. It really depends on the company that constructs the Vekoma coaster and how the park maintains them. From what I've heard, each park usually uses a local company to build the ride. If the ride is not built with care, the results tend to be a rough coaster. There are some SLC's out there that are just as smooth, if not smoother than some B&M's! I just rode Wild Adventures' Hangman and it was super smooth, a total blast! Much more comfortable than, say, SFoT's Batman. Another thing I like about Vekoma and Arrow trains is that your head/neck has plenty of space to move. If you brace your neck through the rough transitions, your head will never touch the shoulder bars. I think the Vekoma Flyers are highly enjoyable also. Batwing is very fun. And, Deja Vu was highly intense! Sometimes I get tired of B&M's - feeling like you're gliding around on air. I love feeling like I'm riding a "real" coaster. And some food for thought: If the Boomerangs are really that bad, why did 50+ parks buy one? Same goes for their (almost) 40 SLC's. It's not just because they're cheap. Would you buy a pile a dog sh*t just because you could afford it? No, of course not. They are crowd-pleasers. -kip- -
CD Thoughts: Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth
Mind Eraser replied to disneyfan1313's topic in Random, Random, Random
With Teeth? I've listened a few times (I bought it at midnight on iTunes), but unfortunately, nothing really grabs me. In my opinion, it sounds a lot like The Fragile, but not even as good, nor as heartfelt. I need to listen to the album a lot more before my real opinions are formed. I miss the days when Trent made a song like "Hurt" that could bring tears to my eyes. This is why NIN has continually been rejected from my "Number One Favorite Band" position. Unlike Marilyn Manson, NIN has the tendency to disappoint sometimes. Whereas, Manson always keeps me thrilled with his music and shows. I've seen Trent live only once and it wasn't anything to write home about. Manson, on the other hand, I've seen six times and every show left me just exhausted - emotionally and physically. -kip- -

Stupidest ride ever! EVER!! I'm with Robb, is this even a coaster? It looks like it is powered most of, if not all of the time. They should make you wear helmets when riding it because it's so retarded. They could theme it as a Short Bus Adventure. -kip-
