  1. I'm also going around the 8th of July, I hope that this gets fixed by then!
  2. I have a feeling that all of our pre-show questions will be answered via Robb's video.
  3. Well after coming out of the last pre-show is there any amount of line that they have for people to wait in or do you go right into the station? But 10 minutes? Wow that's very long! In my opinion the magic number is usually around 2 minutes. Not too long, but long enough to get a point across. Also do they have groupers as you enter into each of the separate buildings or is it just a free-flowing line? I'm not sure Magic Mountain has the ability to staff the necessary amount of groupers for the ride but if they could that would solve the line problem and also keep people from destroying everything in the pre-shows.
  4. When Tatsu first opened it became my favorite ride. But now between the rattle of it and X transforming into X2, I like X2 better. So my list would be: 1) X2 2) Goliath 3) Tatsu 4) Deja Vu 5) Riddler's Revenge/Batman I haven't been on Terminator yet though. Who knows it might crack the list.
  5. How long is the Terminator pre-show? I'm looking forward to this coaster!
  6. It looks good I'll be riding it this summer! One thing though is that the fire does look really far away from the coaster, like too far to even notice it.
  7. ^No you can't. We'll just have to wait until somebody puts it on Youtube or when Robb posts his stuff.
  8. I can't remember exactly where the Best Western is but I believe it's in the same area as In-N-Out. That's one thing you must do in California, eat at In-N-Out. They are doing construction everywhere on Magic Mountain Parkway so beware of that.
  9. So how did people see helicopter shots? Was it actually on the news? But thanks
  10. ^I'm not one to buy into everything that Jim Hill says but that actually is true! Who would have thought? As for adding a 5th gate, heck no. Like everybody has said, they have two half day parks and one park that appeals to only a select few. Animal Kingdom- There isn't much to do. Dinosaur is a sad rip off of Indy and the Primeval Whirl area did not seem Disney at all. The Safari was alright although I liked watching the special on how they made it more than the actual safari itself. Everest is excellent, that's the only really good reason I'd go back is to just ride it again. Hollywood Studios- This park has literally 4 rides. When I went we did everything in about 4 hours and this was during Christmas Break. ToT is amazing and so is RnRC but other then that they really don't have any other 'good' rides. They do have a ton of shows but in reality, there are only so many shows that people are going to watch a day. Fantasmic does draw huge crowds though. EPCOT- Again, there aren't that many rides. But the World Showcase makes up for it. There is a TON of stuff to do it's a multiple day park. But at the same time the World Showcase doesn't appeal to anybody under 25 and that's half the park. I'm only 16 and was 14 when I went there so I wasn't so excited about spending hours upon hours watching every circle vision movie in the showcase. To really go to EPCOT you need a mindset of "I'm going here to enjoy all of the scenery atmosphere and only some rides" not the other way around. If you were to go there for just rides, you'd be sadly disappointed. Also, in the future part of EPCOT, about half the rides are dated. Overall it's a really good park if you're going there with the right mindset. Magic Kingdom- It's showing its age. Simple as that. I'm spoiled with Disneyland but going there was like going to Disneyland in a nightmare. Half the rides were rip offs of better ones at Disneyland. To me when I went there it seemed like a half-done version of Disneyland, but that's a whole other debate. It's a nice park no doubt but it just needs TLC. So there's my rant about Disney World and why they're better off sticking with plussing their existing parks and not just investing money into building another gate. They are great parks, but they could be more.
  11. Can somebody post a link to a video of it other then the Fox one? I'd like to see the helicopter shots.
  12. What is the reasoning behind testing only at night? I'm curious...
  13. I'm also going to Hersheypark this summer, July 8th to be exact. So instead of making my own thread about it I figured I'll just post here. My family will be driving from Six Flags Great Adventure to Hershey with a stop in Philadelphia. I'm not sure if that will give us enough time to take advantage of the preview thing but I hope it does! Questions, I'm only going to be there for one day, is it really possible to do everything worth doing in one day? Also, should we go to the park around 9, do the chocolate tour, and then head to the park gate at around 9:30 or just do the tour some other time? And finally, what should the first ride be? Nobody has come to any sort of consensus on this one...
  14. ^ & ^^ Yes most definitely I can attest to that. I sometimes mention to other kids at school that Magic Mountain is getting a new coaster and when they ask, "ooohh what is it?" and I tell them that it's a wooden coaster they become completely unexcited. Everyone around here hates wooden coasters because of Psyclone, Colossus, and Ghostrider. Between that and people thinking that it's just Psyclone again, I'm not sure how hot the GP's reception of the ride is going to be...
  15. I have to say the little theme that is already up has already exceeded my expectations. It looks good!
  16. Wow I loved this! Great movie guys! I think it's funny about the white balance comment though. Could have color corrected too... And an HV30 for the win!
  17. ^The Cavs are dominating because they're playing teams that shouldn't even be in the playoffs. The Pistons sucked. Atlanta will only be an interesting series when they're in Atlanta, they're horrible on the road. I have respect for the Cavs and my whole family is rooting for them because they're all from Ohio but I don't think that ESPN should be talking about how they're going to sweep everyone in the playoffs. They aren't. And all of this winning makes teams complacent and they'll get caught and lose one or two.
  18. It looks like they're digging up some of the concrete for plants! Yay! I have to say though I really didn't think that this coaster was going to be so... Complicated. The line is crazy and goes everywhere and there are little buildings and structures popping up in ever direction. Looks really cool!
  19. ^ & ^^ Good points guys, maybe there is a tiny bit to do Seriously though, I go back to Ohio at least once a year because my whole extended family is back there. There isn't much to do. You could probably do everything there is to do there in about 2 days (not including CP, water parks, or zoos in this one). I'd take Great Adventure's location near NYC any day. That's why I made the comparison.
  20. ^You would be I, personally, can't wait to see a Cavs-Lakers Finals. And when the Lakers win it in 6 it will be even sweeter because I'm going back to Ohio during the summer and I'm going to bring all of my Lakers stuff and wear it! I can just picture it now.... But in all seriousness, this has been a great first round! I'm watching the game between the Bulls and the Celtics now and it's already looking good. I hope it goes into another overtime.
  21. For mine I just felt doing a spin off of the avatar from the Six Flags Photoshop contest...
  22. To start off, I've never been to Great Adventure. However I've been to CP three or four times so I know my way around there. Contrary to what all of the CP fanboys say, it's only an okay park. It has flats. Cool. Half of them can be found at any county or state fair so they really aren't anything special. They do have Sky Hawk and Maxair though which are sweet rides. However if you're main purpose is to try and ride every coaster there you'll have a hard time doing that let alone enough time to spend riding flats (don't even get me started on when there is a slight chance of rain, you might as well leave). But CP has coasters. Dang they are sweet coasters, this is coming from somebody who lives at Magic Mountain. At CP there are a lot of coasters that are very unique so it's worth going there to ride them. MF for example, sure it's overrated but where else in the U.S. can you find a 300 ft. monster that's a speed demon? TTD might be the same or similar to KK but I really don't know. They have peanty of coasters to keep you satisfied no matter what you like most. So overall CP is an okay park with pretty good coasters. Take what you want from my analysis. Edit: Forgot to say that other than CP there is NOTHING else to do in Northern Ohio, seriously. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame not included. But the drive down to KI is doable. However at Great Adventure you'll be pretty close to NYC.
  23. ^^They don't pull the train through? I've heard of that happening before I think...
