				The 2015-16 NBA Season

Most of my family is from Cleveland or lives there now and they are just devastated that LeBron left. Granted I'm not from Cleveland and I'm a die hard Laker fan but still, watching that prime time "decision" last night was hard. I personally think that he could not have handled it any worse and now half of the country and all of Ohio hates him. I have personally lost all respect that I once had for him because of the way he took a fat dump on Cleveland. And the Jordan comparisons end now, LeBron will never be as good as Jordan, especially when he will be deferring to two other superstars in Miami. I'm not really sure how many ri_ngs they will win either, if any. Next year the Lakers are winning for sure (Phil wins championships in threes ) and the Thunder will only be getting better, as will Orlando, Chicago, and possibly New York. LeBron isn't going to be the "best" player in the NBA for long either, Durant is the future, and a future that I look forward to. KD is a true class act that loves his team and even though I love my Lakers, if that day does come when LA stops winning championships I will be rooting for OKC and Durant to show up the new "big three". From the Bill Simmons column: "Closest example to what LeBron did with Cleveland: Instead of proposing to your girlfriend, dumping her on the Jumbotron. At the Super Bowl." Yeah I guess I kinda vented right there but I just can't believe that professional sports are turning for the worse... It is a sad day. -
I'm still playing Bad Company 2. For some reason it's the one game that I can play constantly and it never gets old. I love that game.

This thing seriously looks like it came straight out of No Limits, banked airtime hill and everything. Looks pretty cool though and I'm glad to see S&S start building more of a variety of coasters. Oh and banked airtime hills in theory shouldn't be any different g-force wise then a normal one. I'd be curious to check it out though because I don't think it's ever been done on a real coaster before.

Now there's a fireball done right! Take a close look Six Flags. -
I might just be weird but really the only part of the Maverick style restraints that I hate is the lower, solid portion that goes over your thighs. Every spot of air my thighs get murdered (and this isn't just on Maverick). I need to learn a way to ride these Intamins without getting thigh raped. It's great that Intamin did change the upper portion of the restraint for I305 though, maybe they'll keep this type of restraint from now on for future coasters? I don't like getting my neck judo-chopped.

^Wikipedia isn't reliable?!??!!? Can somebody tell me at what instance Chang is in the commercial? I don't see it. Could this be another case of coaster enthusiasts looking into a situation too much? Pretty soon there will be a Six Flags Magic Mountain commercial where somebody swears up and down that we're getting an Aqua Trax next year because they thought they saw a half second glimpse of one.

I don't really buy the whole "replacement parts are expensive" rumor, it sounds like a bad excuse just to tear the thing down. But I actually wouldn't mind if it was torn down because it's a terrible ride and it's on a BIG plot of land. I know it's always a sad sight to see a coaster torn down (Psyclone not included) but seriously I rode it last summer and it was one of the worst Arrow coasters that I've been on and that's saying something. I would welcome the notion of it being torn down.
 -
^You know you're a coaster geek when.... I really just want to go out and ride the ride. Sure it might not actually go 94mph anymore but does that mean people are going to hate the ride because it doesn't go EXACTLY 94mph? No! "omG it liEk goeS 91 anD nOw I HatE it" Then you're stupid. Like I said before, if these trims are saving the ride from having more downtime then that's fine with me. I'd rather have an open ride that's trimmed a bit then a ride that isn't open at all. Just saying...
 -
Oh and by the way when I said 'I didn't know that' I was referring to the fact that the slowed down lift hill and MCBR was a result of the ride eating so many wheels, not the fact that Robb said that they "used" unobtanium wheels on Goliath. -Brandon "Don't want it to look like I completely and utterly fell for Robb's unobtanium joke" Tisor
 -
I didn't know that! That's awesome! So that's why the MCBR slows the ride down so much... I always heard that Goliath was a wheel eater but I never knew why. Hopefully they'll be able to find a solution that makes everybody happy but then again it's probably not possible. Whatever keeps maintenance costs down is good for the park, and if that's adding trims then so be it. I'd rather have a ride that's open all the time then a ride that's only open some of the time due to constant maintenance downtime. P.S. Robb, you know everything!

Paul punched the ref in the face on accident. Doesn't get much better than that! Lakers have this series. -
Since they stripped the audio from the trains I think it would be cool if they went and put speakers on the turn out of the station and up the lift hill. You're going slow enough that you'll still be able to hear the sound and it might actually work better... Who knows, just a daydream. I shall miss "Take the Tunnel" though.

^You might be one of the few people that actually likes Colossus! Like everybody else has said, it doesn't do anything. But I guess if you like a predictable, non-out-of-control ride then Colossus is as good as it gets. It would be nice for it to get some love, it was supposedly a great ride back in the day.

Is that actually HDR? It just looks like a typical picture from one of the really large sensor DSLRs. But then again I ain't no photo expert. Not going to lie, at first I thought that the whole Harry Potter land was going to be kinda lame, but I'm stoked for it now. If I had the money I'd be going there this summer to check it out, it looks incredible! I'm really curious to see how the Forbidden Journey ride turns out because from the little I've seen/heard it sound pretty great. I wish I had more money.... And everybody, I mean everybody at my school thinks that it's a whole new theme park. I wonder if anybody will end up being disappointed when they go and find out it isn't?

Upgrading everything to Blu-Ray is really expensive! I'm really glad that you guys decided to go for Blu-Ray! That's a heck of a lot of coasters too, I can't wait to watch them all! In regards to 1080i and 1080p it really doesn't matter what it's shot in it looks exactly the same. (Don't try to say that 1080p is 'technically' better because the naked eye can't tell the difference) And I really could care less what Robb shot the freaking footage in, all that matters is that he shot the footage and is kind enough to mass produce it for all of us to buy! I can't imagine putting together that many DVDs and Blu-Rays.... Thanks Robb and Elissa!

I'm actually glad that Shapiro is out and I guess I wasn't the only one that thought he didn't know how to really run the "amusement park" side of things. He's definitely the mold for a business man and that's how he treated Six Flags, as a business. Therefore I'm quite glad that they are bringing in somebody that is less business and more amusement park, if that makes any sense. I do commend Shapiro for getting Six Flags through the bankruptcy and getting the chain to actually be cash flow positive, among other things; he definitely did a great job there. So thanks Mark, you will be missed... Kinda. As far as the Flash Passes go, if you don't like them you've clearly never used one yourself. They made my day at Great Adventure so great because I got on so many more rides I was very glad that I had shelled out the cash to get one. And no, the company doesn't use the Flash Pass as an excuse for poor operations. No, Flash Passes really don't add to the wait seeing as the people are actually waiting to get on the ride, just not in the line. And no, rich people are not going to take over Six Flags.... Seriously, saying that having better operations eliminates the need for a Flash Pass, go on a really crowded day to any theme park and it won't matter how fast the operations are, you're still going to be waiting for a heck of a long time. -Brandon "Lots of questionable posts here today" Tisor
