  1. That double down is a thing of beauty. It makes me wish that I was around to ride it in its heyday...
  2. ^As of right now no company will be delisted because of the current economic conditions. Check out this thread and it will fill you in. Just the thought of Colossus getting new trains makes me hopeful. I'm too young to know how Colossus rode in its day but I'm sure it was good. Did they also hint at removing the MCBR?
  3. I loved the update, the WCB looks like a lot of fun! Did they go into detail about the preshow(s) for terminator?
  4. ^The one on Coastertube. It might just be the compression but there sure does seem to be a lot of interlacing artifacts in the video even at the slightest bit of motion.
  5. Nice trailer! However, you need to deinterlace! Looking forward to the movie, I really enjoyed the first one!
  6. Yep I just looked it up and it was River Country.
  7. ^^I believe the first one to close was a water park in WDW although I'm not positive. But this just goes to show that even Disney can't overcome certain things. I always pictured Disney as an invisible force of the amusement industry but now they seem more 'mortal'.
  8. I'm curious whether or not Six Flags could survive by selling off a few non-essential parks like SFKK and SFA and then have enough money to turn around and pay the stockholders the 300 million that they owe.
  9. Well the LA Times came out with a quick article about how Six Flags is at risk for bankruptcy... Nice to see that they talked about how Six Flags just posted a positive cash flow last year for the first time in company history, NOT. It would be nice if the media would actually report that Six Flags is making money too. But instead they focus how they have a massive amount of debt and how they will probably have to file. I am a firm believer in that the media can sway the market and the stock for Six Flags is no different. They report on how Six Flags has a huge amount of debt but gloss over the fact that they are actually doing good business, just not good enough to make up for all the squandering and spending that the past management brought upon the company. Here's the link to the story.
  10. I'm sure that the environment at Magic Mountain will indeed change for the better over time because everything does actually take time. I still have faith in the new management and I'm sure that Magic Mountain will continue its steady improvement. But I also agree with TheRealTinkerbell, I do think that if they hire a few more people, those rides that the people are staffed at will run a lot smoother. I am also curious about whether or not Magic Mountain will have a better selection of people applying for jobs due to the current state of the economy and job loss. It seems horrible to think about but Magic Mountain could possibly benefit from this current condition (if people will actually come to the park).
  11. ^Have they? I heard they were going back and forth with many ideas for that spot but I'm glad they're using the money for Carsland instead.
  12. So this park is back?! Awesome I love it! From what I can tell, the theater looks really good also.
  13. ^^Deja Vu will still be down. Otherwise everything should hopefully be open. Genius! I've never seen the powder stuff before though, that was new.
  14. Yesterday I went to Magic Mountain and it was quite nice. The front plaza looks really good! A few observations: We were waiting for Ninja and I think someone puked on the train and they told everyone to get out, cycled it around once, and then sprinkled something on the car that had the barf or whatever. I think Jahan could fill us in. Tatsu has gotten really rattly! I rode it like 2 months ago and I don't remember that much vibration going through the flat spin. The pretzel is getting bad, too. Went on X2 twice and noticed that train 1 seems to have had something done to the chain dogs and it's now much much quieter going up the lift. Train 3 is still just as loud, train 2 was in the maintenance bay. Also, does anyone know what triggers the fire effect to turn on and off? It was going earlier in the day but while I was waiting for X the first time there was a gust of wind for maybe 5 minutes and I'm sure that's what triggered it off but it never turned on again for the rest of the night and there wasn't any wind at all. I didn't notice it this time but last time I went on X there seemed to be a quieter train (in terms of audio playing) and a louder train. Has anyone else noticed that? I don't think I've gotten a single ride on X where every speaker on my car has worked... Goliath crew, as always, the best in the park. X2's crew was really good also. Overall though it was a good day and the front looked wonderful!
  15. Man oh man does this ride look sweet! I personally have never been on a GCI and I'm stoked to see one coming to Magic Mountain! I'm still curious to see what ends up happening with the audio and how they'll mount it to the trains (If they do). And when I think about the whole Terminator theme I always thing of a ton of camo netting everywhere... But I could really care less if they don't even theme this ride because it looks sweet!
  16. I heard a rumor somewhere that Viper was once ran backwards but I really have no proof. But if you think about it, how much worse could Viper be backwards?
  17. Very cool looking station! This park really looks good. But I have one question, is there a reason for the palm trees in front of the station? It just looks kinda awkward to me, but it's your park.
  18. I invested in Six Flags when it was $1.15 I really hope they turn this ship around! I do think that a good quarter report could do wonders for them however.
  19. Es muy bonita! Oh wait, this isn't Kingdom De Espana anymore... It looks really good but I must say, the stock western benches don't do the restaurant justice.
  20. Hey Steffen, I have all the custom scenery except the PNP Food and Drink. I looked for it everywhere and the link over at Atari is dead... Care to upload it?
  21. Year 10? Might need to fix that. This park is really looking good and I think it's definitely shaping up to be one of your best!
  22. ^If you're talking about the spinner (Zhambi Sidewinder) it's not made by Arrow or Vekoma, it's a Mack. The original game designers seemed to get the track design wrong for whatever reason, though...
  23. If you're talking about seasonal parks I'm not really sure how Knott's fits into that category... But if you're also talking about Cedar Fair parks then yeah, it makes perfect sense! It really shocked me the first time I saw that Knott's actually draws more attendance then Cedar Point. I'm happy for Kings Island, they definitely needed something like this just to round out their collection. How many years was it without a B&M or an Intamin?
  24. Wow CD5! That's something you don't see everyday! I'm really liking the the aquarium and the restaurant. What are the rocks from?
