Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread

They don't necessarily have more friction, but they will most likely have more air resistance which would slow the train more than an equal weight smaller area train. I suspect that these trains actually weigh more than a standard train so the increased air resistance will probably be balanced out by their increased momentum. -
^holy shamoley, When i bought mine, they were about 80, Granted, that is about 12 years ago, but still, what could they have added to make it that much more expensive? I just got a TivoHD with a lifetime subscription. Total, about $600 eek! But it was totally worth it.

Who do you blame when your kid is a brat Pampered and spoiled like a Siamese cat?

IF you need recaps, may I suggest Televisionwithoutpity I stopped watching partway though season 3. I doubt I'll watch it again, the only thing that makes wathing it a possibility is there is nothing else on right now that's new.

Shane's Amusement Attic
Moose replied to montezooma's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, that is a great video. I had no idea how wild that ride was. It's too bad that it could not have been salvaged through some design modifications. -
CGA's Flight Deck STRIKES BACK!!!

^add on a #1 and it could be RCT themed. Oh wait, that may require a license. -
OK, I have to admit I am confused as to what will not work come a year from now (give or take). Right now, I have cable, but not digital cable, will i need to upgrade? Why haven't I already upgraded? I don't have a HDTV, and the extra channels I'd get from teh switch to digital just are not worth the added cost. Granted I'd love BBCamerica, but really that's the only new channel I'd watch.

I am fine with the grandmother thing, I actually thought it was pretty smart. I have no problem with people lying or back stabbing to get themselves further. Just about everyone does it (or rides on others coattails) and don't like the better than though attitude of people on the jury about lying etc. It was Johny Fairplay's personality that just annoyed the hell out of me.

Lincoln Park (Comet) Discussion Thread
Moose replied to Canobie Fan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Over Christmas my uncle actually gave me ride tickets that he found while going through some old stuff. Besides that all I have are pictures of me going around and around and around on the kiddy rides and my favorite flat ride to this day (bouncey bouncey may be tied) the Whip. -
Lincoln Park (Comet) Discussion Thread
Moose replied to Canobie Fan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love how you are in England and knew about this, and I knew nothing about it and my parents live all of 5 minutes from Lincoln Park. The coaster is so far gone, it being knocked down really will not be that much of a loss. -
Question about the Tax Rebate that is coming to Taxpayers
Moose replied to spaceace12's topic in Random, Random, Random
The problem with this is that we are already at a budget deficit and this will only make it worse so our national debt is only going to grow. The only reason why this went through is this is an election year and the incumbents are thinking it will help them get reelected by throwing money at their constituents. -
My Ongoing Spain PTR
Moose replied to RaptorBoyASU's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I KNOW there were different endings to the Minotaur ride. I saw the car behind us go a different way, and Talking to several TPR peeps, the end room was different for them. So, therefore, I assert we kicked some greek mythology a$$. As well as lick other parts. I had totally fogotten about the couple trying to make kiddy credit insurance. THe guy was quite hot if i remember correctly no/yes? and apparently hung. Kyle your response to Lou was just too cute. -
ug. Jonny Fairplay.... so not a favorite. Same goes for Jonathan. The thing I worry about is getting to know the "fans" since we don't know them at all, but we know the others so well.

^^Aren't you like ten feet tall? How did you do this? Kyle, smooth move. Great report. I hope i can make it out to the Mountain eventually. -
I am shocked that the parks allowed someone to be chained to the track. Forget the person being chained, the chain itself could do a ton of damage to the coaster if it was left in place.

Two new Gravity Group coaster models released

Haha.... that is exactly why I like out and backs. Though you really pretty much know where you are going, even if you cannot see it. -
Eruption (NL)
Moose replied to CoasterNut17's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
A couple of comments The Blue supports don't fit the theme. That is one really long MCBR and yet still only one train operation??? The return leg seemed sluggish at times. Despite that... nice ride. -

I like how they show they can modify fireball's ends to fit different sites. I think it's the engineer geek in me -

That seems like a highly likely scenario as I doubt arrow would have been able to tailor the loops in order for it to work in those early days. -
