Great to hear that the park is being saved, as it seemed it would close in a short time. It's great that an old park is being saved, and hopefully, the new Heritage Park does well. The park seemed decent until a few years ago when almost everything was removed, so hopefully the new owners can replace some of the removed rides.

Maybe my opinion on this ride was wrong, and maybe these will now be fun. Formula-X looks like a decent coaster, and I was not expecting it to launch immediately after the turn. The ride looks like a lot of fun, but the train seems to barely make it to the heartline twist. Hopefully similar ones can be built in the US as these coasters finally seem decent.

Large SFGAM maps are available at SFGAM in Flags and Trudy's Sweet Shop for 3-5 dollars, but you are offered free large maps where you pay the $50 parking fee. I guess the point of selling them inside the park is, you didn't get one when offered, so now pay for one.

^What about a launched coaster like Wicked? I think that was fairly cheap, and a launched coaster could be good for the park. I don't know much about this park, but it seems to have expanded rapidly over the last few years. Given this parks financial past, I am a little worried that it will go bankrupt again, but hopefully, with this being the largest park in the area, the park can survive.

^Well the park will be designed with the temperature in mind, but I'd expect many of the coasters to be built indoors. The other possibility is to use shade(Dubai turning desert areas in to green areas capable of holding plant life) or water features when building rides.(Titanic could be a Mack water coaster) The rest of the park, like the Universal park, will be built with large covered areas, so the heat shouldn't be a problem.

Paramount in Dubai Dubai keeps getting better, and soon they will have some of the best thrills in the world. It is amazing at what is being built, and at 2.5 billion dollars, I would expect some great theming and some great rides.

^Why do I see the media declaring all amusement rides unsafe? Surprisingly, the media has been pretty good with dealing with all the accidents this year.(with the exception of FOX saying something that the GP could will take that Giant Drop is unsafe) This is another tragic accident, and best wishes to her family in this horrible time. It probably is due to a heart problem, but many, including the media, could take this that rides are too intense.

^Isn't the wooden coaster at Tivoli the oldest, or is it the oldest continually operating coaster?(the one at Tivoli) Good news for the Cyclone though, and it's too bad few coasters are around that are this old.(even 50 is old for a coaster) If only I got a chance to ride it when I was in NYC, but traffic there sucks.

Yes Have you ridden a truly rough B&M?

The only rough Vekoma I've ridden is Boomerang at DL, so I guess I was just lucky on the other ones I had ridden.(I was not going to try the SLC at DL) The other Vekomas I've ridden are Deja vu, T2, Boomerang(SFEG), and Spacley's Sprocket Rockets, and these were all good coasters. I was actually beginning to think that their roughness was exaggerated just because they were rougher than Intamin or B&M.

Well after a long hiatus, I got around to going back to SFGAM. After visiting that sad excuse for a park known as DL, I though a visit to a good park was deserved. Crowds were high, but it wasn't uncomfortable, and it was a really enjoyable day. The staff was great, and the lines moved fast and efficiently. However, Viper seemed rougher than usual, but AE was running extremely well. Since there are over 100 photos, this will span multiple posts, but feel free to comment after this post.
