  1. I agree especially compared to Sheikra's station and train shed. http://www.coastersandmore.com/pic/sheikrabaustelle/sheikra13g.jpg JEFF
  2. Another photo update from 10-20-06 not much going on since last week just more footer prep, but I took some better pics from different angles with my brand new camera Enjoy, JEFF hopefully more track will be up before next week......but I doubt it More station footers up and more steel for the train shed is up Aerial shot! new footer more brakes They are standing in the trench the 1st drop will go into. Must be a record for rusted bolts =( Not Everybody is as excited as we are
  3. Grizzly! Most people would probably say Volcano but the reality is after many rerides in a row it really loses the thrill plus the layout is extremely reptetive. JEFF
  4. No, its not Primer, My camera and the time of day make the pics look washed out or faded. It does look better in person. I only remember 1 coaster constructed in primer then painted afterwards and that was Chang, every other steel coaster I have seen constructed was pre-painted. JEFF
  5. I know, A kid that is 42" tall can ride Twister & Phoenix by himself but not their kiddie coaster!!!!! That is one crazy place. JEFF
  6. Last Sunday Me, My Dad and My Son went to BGE. It was Aidan's first trip and he pretty much enjoyed everything he could do there. I really liked that adults can ride most of the kiddie rides with their children. Big coaster ops were a joke. Park was packed and everything had 2 trains except Nessie. I was also pissed that they closed the train ride at 4:30 (we went to get on at 4:25-Haunted train does not start until 6) Aidan loves trains Oh well. We only stayed for about 3 hours but aidan had fun. I only rode Nessie twice and the other little rides with Aidan but I did manage to take alot of pics. Enjoy, JEFF Buh Bye-Thanks for giving a damn This is the life Best Ride EVER! the Slide! It just doesn't go fast enough....must paddle! I'm turning left! WTF!! He HAD to see the Water (through the black mesh just won't cut it) Aidan watching Nessie, He loved the Boardwalk under the ride.
  7. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30240 There is my POV of it to complete my Knoebels collection it does not go 40mph but it sure feels like it JEFF
  8. Really good pics, thanks for posting them. That free concert is kick ass. It is amazing how different every State Fair is. That is cool how that Fair has 2 "adult" coasters. JEFF
  9. Griffon pics!!!!!! 10-15-06 some of these footers are DEEP! Still nothing being done on the Rhine river. JEFF Most trains will be in here except on Saturdays Transfer table and the train/maint. shed has vertical beams up Completed run out Big brakes This is a footer hole under the 1st Immelman (Yea, its BIG!) Track piece missing is the transfer table piece Footer holes for Brake run and 2nd 90* drop Aerial from LNM
  10. Cool! I am going later this afternoon, I will try and get more pics. JEFF
  11. Yea, in this current Gen I jumped on GC and PS2 very early in their life only to see price drops and awesome bundles follow soon after. I still have a HUGE backlog of games for both of these systems I havn't played yet. So I will probably wait a couple years for the Wii and 360/PS3 and see what kind of deals there are plus games will be much cheaper by then. I just can't justify spending the money on them right now. But the Wii does look like fun! JEFF
  12. I don't think it will be necessary to preorder a Wii. I am sure you can go into any major retailer (Circuit City, Best Buy, Toys R Us) on 11-19-06 and pick one up. Nintendo has said that they will have plenty available (I believe it too, due to the basic hardware itself not being that much advanced). PS3 has reduced its forecast again to under 400,000 for USA. so they will be about $2,000 on Ebay by mid December. Wii's will be everwhere (hint for you guys getting one on day 1, for some reason EVERYBODY forgets about Toys R Us on system launch days. ) JEFF
  13. Cool PTR! Did you happen to get a better pic of the Mad mouse?, I do not think I have seen the layout on that one. Wasn't the SC State Fair the one that got the Schwarzkopf Lazer clone????? That sucks if the don't anymore! JEFF
  14. I agree that it is very scary when you first see it. I remember my phirst PPP in 1997 (also my first time at Knoebels) I was amazed they let it run like that. I do not ride them usually anymore cause it just freaks me out, cause the ride (IMO) was not designed to deal with the constant snapping. I think they should slow it down. (pkdcoster ducks) JEFF
  15. Good pics. Good that you got to go too, nice little end of season surprise. JEFF
  16. If snapping was "against the rules" wouldn't they just slow the ride down so you couldn't snap??? Very odd that some years they make a big deal out of it and others they don't JEFF
  17. I'm gonna beat the crap out of this dead horse! Awesome Pics!!! Really nice camera you got there. pricey though looks like your son had a blast on the lil whip Thanks for sharing these HQ pics, JEFF
  18. Aesome Ted, Thanks for the pics/update. I am still curious to see the runout and the trains. Did they mention if they were building the trains in house? or how many cars per train there will be? TIA, JEFF
  19. When you take night pictures the shutter stays open for alot longer to allow as much light in as possible. some cameras you can set up to have the shutter open for a long time. If the object moves it becomes blurred, (it kinda like burns every movement an object makes into the film/file. I took a night picture with Italian Job and it came out like this. the shutter stayed open the whole time you see the headlight streak, you can kinda notice the people are a little blurry cause they moved a little. Hope that made sense. JEFF
  20. Awesome pics! thanks for the link why are they never open at night??, seems like they had adequate lighting for staying open past dusk. JEFF
  21. Here ya go, If you guys think thats you, IMO it is very hard to make a positive ID. looks like you /\ had a green shirt on and white shorts. pics were taken at 11:00am JEFF
  22. 4th KK pic down? picture was taken at 11am on 9-24-06. I have like 5 shots of that train, was your riding partner wearing a dark green T-shirt? let me know JEFF
  23. One of the designers said "Disneyland" but people throw Disney park names around so much, I don't know how valid it is. other info: Scheduled to open in 1992 (movie premiered in Nov. 1989) Pics of the model Front plaza area was supposed to resemble Eric's kingdom. JEFF It's this big
  24. You still have till Sunday (10-8-06) JEFF
  25. I can't Believe that with all the Disney fans in here nobody mentioned it yet! On the New Little Mermaid 2 disc DVD they have a bonus segment on the dark ride that disney almost built complete with commentary from the imagineers and includes a full CG POV! (screenshots below) This was a great bonus feature as it features the models and layout/plans for the ride. I cannot believe they didn't build it. Odd thing about the ride is that the things happen out of sequence. but I guess makes sense for the ride as a whole Ride time was 4 min. I would reccomend this DVD alot. IMO it is still the funniest Disney Movie with great characters and story. JEFF loading area where you can see the car in front of you. Go on and ____ the Girl!! your dead now! Of course she signs it. (Girls will do anything for a piece of ass) into Ursula's lair you know your singing it! about to go "under the sea" your "monorail" type gondola
