Dragon Mountain has a doble chain lift also http://www.rcdb.com/ig185.htm?picture=2 What is with these parks in the far east. Everyone of them I have seen pics of is just Dead!, no one there (except Nagashima and Fuji-Q Highland) How can these places afford these coasters let alone stay in buisness? Wow those Guide wheels on SD2000 are HUGE! (were they always that big?) I knew the running wheels were larger but I had no idea about the other wheels, they look like wings. Were they only running one train on SD2000? And again thank you VERY much for going and taking those great videos and Pictures. JEFF

Best B&M collection?

Why would you like Montu then? Last half of Montu is really weak and slow as well. JEFF -

Best B&M collection?
pkdcoaster replied to colossus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Good question. I would really like to say BGA due to Kumba being so Awesome, Montu CAN be good but much like Alpengeist but you have to rate it on the normal operation. If Alp was running like it did in 1997 with Apollo they would be up there too (plus Griffon ) But I would have to give it to SFGAd personally I loved Nitro when I rode it, Batman is always awesome, Medusa is great and Superman is decent. I will see how they are running next week and see if my opinion still holds. JEFF -

Really great pics of both parks. Especially the Vortex ones (one of my favs) what days did you visit CP& PKI? JEFF -
Well after thinking about it for a while this is my best guess We will use Nitro as an example http://www.rcdb.com/ig1106.htm?picture=15 1. It increases the cycle time and gets the train out of the station faster 2. Saves money- Less steel for support structure and it elminates the need for costly drive tires throughout the whole U-turn. 3. added bonus- it makes the ride more interesting with another fun little drop. I am pretty positive (99.9%) these are the reasons for the infamous U-turn dip JEFF

Really nice pics. Thanks for sharing JEFF -
I had already written Dylang a PM yesterday telling him I misunderstood what he was talking about. I guess I have to repeat myself AGAIN. The post seemed like he was asking why B&Ms take U-turns before the lift. I did not get that he was asking about the dip (hill) in the U-turn at first. I apologize for the misunderstanding. There are alot of A$$holes here I guess. (I really do not see why this thread was left open in the first place) JEFF

Awesome pics Johnny! Is there a reason the pic on the very bottom of the page cannot be seen larger? My Favorite pic of it so far and I would like to use it as a wallpaper. Thanks, JEFF -
Right on. Funny thing was you would never know anything was there before. There is one footer from the actual coaster that still remains. (que Chucks pic!) JEFF

When was the last time you saw it? any pics? I do not think BGE lets their coasters go more than 2 years without a new coat. JEFF

Part 3 Apollo & Nessie pics Coming soon- New and cool POVs JEFF I love this pic too, Check out the back wheel and the Woman in the 3rd row FRONT SEAT This is how NOT to ride

Part 2 Alpengeist pics Enjoy, JEFF I have always wanted this pic from the flume Check out the Wheel cover clearance on the shed!!!!

the first drop is parallel and right next to the Skyride path JEFF

OK...in the title it reads "B&M U-turns-what is the point?" He could have worded it much better. If he is asking about the dip then it is more fun than a flat turn. JEFF

its top ten.. Why do some coasters have chains? JEFF

As close to a perfect day as you can have at a park. No lines, Great friends and Great rides! I took over 300 pictures so picking the best is kinda hard, so I am gonna break it down in parts. The park was pretty dead with little to no lines and the weather was perfect all day. Alpengeist-9 rides Apollo-10 rides Wolf- 3 rides Monster- 4 rides With rides on Dark Castle, Pompei and Le Scoot. We also did the Beer School thingy (even though I hate beer!) They finally have some footers down for Griffon too! Here are some of my pics, everybody else took some good ones too. JEFF this was where Df came out of the station I finally got to pay my respects Smell my finger! Eagles that were injured and cannot fly anymore. Slide POV! I don't have this angle!!! A FOOTER!!!!!
