I don't buy it. Yeah...I've seen him (in the pictures) at Kings Island before, he's shorter than I am (5'8"). I don't think the trains will come that close, and personally I like the look of the dug out at the bottom of the first drop. I'll have to see the trains first, but either way it's going to be an awesome footchopper effect - it won't really matter if they do or don't, I think it'll look the same when you're on the ride.

I actually had thought of that. Given that these restraints eliminate headbanging I would like to see B&M doing some old school snappy corkscrews again. But, like you said, it's not very likely. I never had a problem with the old restraints..the best was Top Gun/Afterburn's corkscrew/wing over. That sh*t was like OH SNAP. Probably the tightest corkscrew I've been through.

In a certain way I kind of wish there was, but I highly doubt that. The train will probably go through that bit relatively slowly and sometimes the angle of the picture can be deceiving and lead us to believe that the track is shaped slightly different than it really is. (I've noticed this many times on dive and immelmann loops) I don't think we will be seeing snaps like in raptor's cobra roll anymore from B&M. Is it possible that there will be a nice little snap? Absolutely. Is it probable? Yeah, maybe not anymore. Who knows. New trains, no more 'headbanging' etc.

Nope, I wasn't going to pay those prices - instead you can go to the Beir Garten and get 15 wings for 8.99 to share with someone! On a Saturday though I would believe it was very crowded, but 30 minutes to get a drink is just plain stupid.

Single entry is $69.99, which does seem on the pricey side. Certainly more expensive than WnW Gold Coast, or even Disney's Blizzard Beach/Typhoon Lagoon parks. That said, the selection of slides looks great, and $125 for a season pass seems reasonable enough, so I guess they're trying to push people towards purchasing that. I thought they might have some sort of premium season pass which included VRTP's Gold Coast parks as well, but haven't seen anything so far. I feel like the Aussie parks could get a little smarter with their pricing models. A premium entry ticket that included a skycoaster ride and flowrider time, for example, or an 'off-peak' season pass only valid on weekdays. Right I mean Wet 'n Wild Brisbane even has a roller coaster! And Dreamworld's waterpark was pretty awesome with the water coaster-slide. I'd only expect to pay that much at say- Belantis or Atlantis waterpark in Dubai or Bahamas.

Because people want to have massive coaster dic....I mean coaster counts? Unless it's a TPR take over where it's goofy and fun, I'd rather re-ride the better ride in the park instead.

Here's a video from 1993 when the park was freshly bought by Paramount. At the 3 minute mark it shows some of the theming that used to be below Top Gun's station.

Strange to hear Raptor, Dragster were closed due to wind - and Gatekeeper was not? I think a steady 20mph wind closes the ride. Glad you got to ride nearly everything though, good on ya for sticking it out to ride Raptor! I love that ride too. You can trade spots with me so you can come back to ride Dragster and I can ride Superman Escape!

I would love to see it rethemed to the Bat, just so I know the ride is staying for many more years. I also went through the kids area, which is in the waterpark! With Jo and Patrick, and it was surprisingly fun. There was also a maze there where we got plastic spider rings and a lolly-pop for going through. It was themed to storybook characters. What. Here's some more pictures from last night. No new track work, but lots of supports are going up for the loop and the immelman. We rode Diamondback twice (full queue is 1 hour 10 minutes with a crew that was constantly stacking) For the record, the main queue house full only takes 25 minutes to go through. We rode Top Gun, Racer, Adventure Express, Windseeker. We also did Backwoods Bayou, Cornstalkers (worst maze/actors), Board to Death (What's up with the lighting in the first half? It was so dark you couldn't see jack sh!t.), Slaughterhouse, and Wolfpack. Here we go again! No Chainz? Looking very good It's going to be steep. From the Coney Mall midway Yeah, it was very crowded Love everything here. Drop Zone twisting and going up, people walking through.

Backwards Batman. It was too much. Out of Batman SFOG/SFOT/SFGAm, Goliath, Great White I'd say Six Flag over Georgia's is most intense. Maybe it's because of the heat, but every time I ride that ride it's just over the top. One and I'm done. During Deep South Bash it even made me sick. Well; the combo of Batman AND Mindbender!

Great report! Those two coasters do look fantastic, and those ARM towers are f'n scary. Yup, better than most of the taller Intamin and S&S towers.

Nice seeing you again on Friday, it was a really decent night. Great coverage of Banshee too!

I did all of the 75% of the Haunts: Crypt, Urgent Scare, Wolfpack, Delta Delta, Board 2 Death, Club Blood. I think I'm forgetting one or two more. They were all hardly scary; the actors were very boring tonight. I hope it was just tonight. It wasn't like when I was working in Haunt. Most disappointing: Urgent Scare. Yeah, let's cut out the outdoor section AND forget the plot to this one. It used to be so good. Screw this maze. It's so dead. Delta Delta: Give us back Massacre Manor. Club Blood: WORST ACTORS EVER. No enthusiasm. They were just standing there. The MC was awful. Board 2 Death; Seriously, half the actors were talking to each other when we came into the room. Then tried to scare the person leading the group. Seriously? Learn to scare. Wolfpack was alright, they had a lot of actors in the maze. But the 2nd half of the maze is pointless. Bikes? Chairs? What the F. Madam's Crypt: Ehhhhh yeah it's got a cool set up. Yeah it's a step in the right direction. But it's short. Minus points. And again, the actors are obvious trying to act like they're fake just standing in the open. That's dumb. But a few smart actors got me to jump. I'll post pictures of Banshee tomorrow after I sleep.

Lovely photo TR! Really interesting to see all they have to offer there. I've heard about how massive the place is. High Energy looks absolutely crazy. And so does the free fall tower. Cincinnati has the 2nd largest Oktoberfest...I still haven't been to Hofbräuhaus in Cincy yet. I need to go.
