  1. Hmm, what do I read about most often? How "OMFG amazing" and "freakin' fantastic" and "best" Skyrush and Expedition G Force's first drops are. Recent reviews of Banshee? "wicked first drop" and "surprisingly great first drop with airtime". So I think it's fair to say twisting drops might only 'suck' at SFMM. Overall they're highly acclaimed seeing EGF and Skyrush are contenders for the top coaster in the world. Watch it come out with a twisting/inverting drop like on Iron Medusa and people will still complain
  2. I have ridden Firehawk (not Nighthawk, the better Carowinds version) ONE TIME since 2009 when I rode during an employee night and then this year because the line was short one day. And it's awful. Uncomfortable. It's ..I guess you could say forceful, but not really. It's just plain awkward and not fun. Screw the ride and everything that it is. I'd love to see it scrapped and anything else put in! Really, even a spinning mouse. Or a kiddie coaster. Or more lockers, or more Banshee ice cream.
  3. Look how happy TPR members are with FREE BEER at lunch! How freakin' awesome is that? Seriously like, the best visit to my home park!
  4. I'm really excited about this ride. That 90* Stengel dive-ish wave turn thing looks awesome. Can't wait to visit this park again soon.
  5. "Ran out of $$$ at Silver Dollar City gift shop" Hahaha. I believe it. Nice little park! Thanks for posting the pictures.
  6. Yup, looks like it's going to be Iron Cyclone www.sfneonline.org/forums/index.php?threads/2015-speculation.1404/page-127
  7. Nice seeing you Chuck! Can't wait to read the rest of this trip report, as always.
  8. That's badass. I really want to try one of the slides with "the wall"
  9. Phantom's Revenge and Exterminator are new additions to my list. Cyclops is up there too.
  10. Had lots of fun at the park yesterday. Goliath was surprisingly gentle! It was a fun ride, very cool inversions. I rode in the very front seat, would have loved to have tried in the back but long long long lines prevented that. I'm weird and like Raging Bull the most, but Viper is also a great ride. The log flume is one of my favorite flumes as well! And hey, check out Timothy OTooles across from the park.
  11. Trying to decide on going tomorrow or Tuesday. Any suggestions or will crowds be about the same? What have the wait times been this season?
  12. I'm shocked. Looks fun though! Can't wait for media day.
  13. Wow! Awesome news. Can't wait to see lots of friends and meet new people as well! The more I ride Banshee the more I like the coaster, so I'm certain I'm going to be in love with the ride after next Friday!
  14. I guess if you want to be more of a foodie, go to Blue Ash. But honestly. ..I live in Blue Ash and have never been. Never had the desire or drive to. Skyline is awesome and there's one right by ki. Go to skyline. If you love it, try Blue Ash.
  15. Awesome. Will definitely take your advice! Honestly if Exterminator gets too long, I'll just skip it to ride Phantom or Sky Rocket an extra time haha.
  16. Going in two days! Any suggestions for the best seats on the rides? Which rides should I go to first, or do they all have pretty good operations? Best place for food? Is there beer?
  17. Went for the night, 7-close and had a blast. Even on bring a friend for 15 dollar day, my friends rode Beast, Adventure Express, Diamondback, Racer, and then....Banshee 3 times in the last hour! We even got a fireworks ride in! It is pretty awesome at night with the lighting package. The more I ride it, the more I like it. Hit or miss on the vibrating. But front row is amaze. Very Disappointed with Diamondback. Stacking constantly and the operators were assigning rows very poorly. They would not allow anyone to wait for the front seat. You had to get it by luck. I have never experienced this in 5 years. Even if you ask, you can have the front. My friends hadn't visited since 2009 and we were forced, with attitude that "NO, you're not going in row 1, you're GOING to ROW 4!" I was shocked. C'mon, if you're at least assigning rows and single riders, don't stack the trains. No excuse for the mean words or the long wait.
  18. I'm trying to compare photos...the dragon moves, right? Or no?
  19. Hey everyone! I'm going to be visiting Kennywood the first week of July, I believe. What are the crowds usually like? Would it be vastly different on a Thursday vs Friday? And would a half day at this park work for getting all the rides in (6 or 7 hours)? Thanks!
  20. Signing up! Very excited to have TPR take over the park and see lots of friends. I'm sure there will be great hotel parties the night before and after
  21. Great photos! Great reviews! Disagree about Magnum though. I hit the gym, rode in the middle...still destroys my thighs. Too uncomfortable! Maybe after another year of gym it will be less painful.
  22. I hope I get my credit card in the mail before tickets runs out! This event is amazing! What a great surprise to see when I pulled up TPR!
  23. Inside the park (Behind Drop Zone), and expect a massive crowd.
  24. Pick your poison with Flight of Fear/Firehawk/Invertigo/Stunt Coaster. All of them have awful capacity and or the line just moves slow. I would start with Firehawk and Flight of Fear then go to Stunt Coaster. Sunday shouldn't be bad. But getting those rides first will help you enjoy the better rides later.
  25. Great Wolf Lodge's waterpark at KI is amazing. Definitely ride all their slides, especially the water coaster. Oh and I did ERT at KI this morning. It's only Banshee, but I did get 3 rides. Don't bother with Columbus, you are too young to do stuff there. At least that I would recommend.
