  1. Kings Island. From one of the top 5 amusement parks, down to what it is today.
  2. I wouldn't call the 'ERT' ...ERT for Maverick, unless you are one of the people at the front of the gate. Almost all of them go for Maverick. I'd say one ride during ERT, then the line is full. That's it. Maybe, just maybe 2 rides on MF but I'd doubt it. And TTD wasn't on the ERT list the two days I went.
  3. ^Chiller is gone and since when doesn't CP have a classic arrow sit down multi looper? Corkscrew has a loop and two corkscrews! And I'd have to say Gemini is one of my favorite coasters out there. It's got some great airtime on every drop. People have been saying it's rough in the back, but I swear I never get anything but a smooth ride! Again, I don't think this should be about comparing parks, CP has a few coasters that just won't comapare to other things, so why bother trying? Everyone has a different preferance.
  4. No, I'm talking about any average theme park across the world.
  5. Ironically, Disney rides have killed a lot more people than a theme park has the whole time it's operated.
  6. Hey, I saw you at KI! I was on Drop Zone and saw you guys getting in line. Dude, I'm so jealous of the Mini Cooper!
  7. And hey, I like a little roughness on my wodden coasters! But holy crap, the Beast's ride can be VERY bad. I've had ride in the middle on a non wheel seat and it just jackhammered up and down the entire ride. In the back, I got a worse ride; slammed back and forth while jack hammering! Ouch is right! From that point on, that's why I stick to the first car. I don't have a bad ride in the first car. I'm too nervous to try any other seat because I've had worse rides on SoB! SoB just shakes you up, Beast beats the crap out of you if you don't know where to sit.
  8. For Dave and Wes, I reccomend the show "The Chaser's War or Everything." http://www.abc.net.au/tv/chaser/war/qq I think it's fun to watch people bash other people. I'm a spectator. I'd say people who buy other people's on ride photo because they are hot are pretty fun to bash.
  9. Very good news! I'm going in early June and this is about the only thing I was scared about for this ride. I really can't wait to go! I've braved the tallest they can give me, now I'm going to try the tilted stand up! -JZ
  10. Dude, Fanta Lime and Fanta Raspberry is some AWESOME stuff. And I think Australian Coke tastes different than USA Coke. For better or worse? Don't know. But Mexican Coke with real sugar cane is pretty darn goooood. -J "Cherry Coke Wins" Z
  11. Don't get me wrong, it's still a fun ride! Maybe it's just me, but I really like about every coaster I go on. I guess I'm an optimist. It's still fun to speed around through the woods, it's actually really nice scenery out there during the spring and fall. I'm afraid to take a back seat ride due to a ride about a year or two ago that completely beat the crap outa me. I stick to the front car; usually the fron isn't too long of a wait. See ya then, Groteslurf! -JZ
  12. I really didn't think Wicked Twister had a powerful launch, but maybe that's because I just came over from TTD! Maverick seemed like a better launch when you had a full stop. I was in the front row and we were the second train to dispatch; so we waited under the station for abit. It was pretty cool to look around then all of a sudden...BAM! We launched right out of there. Smaller train = quicker acceleration? -JZ
  13. The crowd usually stays the same, except for Saturday and Thursday. Those were the heavier days in my experiances. But two days is enough to get the rides in. The ERT helps get in one or two rides before public comes on in. Be prepared to wait 30-60minutes for all popular coasters. Maverick's line will rarely go below one hour. If it's forecasted to rain, dont plan on going. As far as CP being best/better? I really like CP. It's nothing but a great collection of fun coasters, IMO. Maverick, MilF, TTD, Magnum, Raptor, Gemini....all great coasters in my book. Oh, you will need a locker to put things in on: -MilF -TTD And...? Someone help me out, I forget. Other rides like -Maverick -Gemini -Magnum -Mantis -Raptor You can put your things in to the side. Just go in with an open mind on all the rides, and have a great time!
  14. Dude...The Chaser's are my favorite people ever! The show is absolutely hilarious!!! Money is cool, it's colorful and doesn't tear easily. Everyone is nice and accommodating. It didn't seem like there was much violence or like...neh, not sure how to say it...just thought it was a better place. Seemed like everyone were friends. Everyone loves to joke around, so you have to know when to take a joke. Things are more expensive, but the economy and govt. balances it out with the pay. I really, really, really can't wait to go back.
  15. That's seriously the best way to describe the Beast's condition now. And they are trying to do the same with SoB now, and still continue to pump more and more money into it. Now wouldn't say I wouldn't care if they tore it down, but if I knew Keelboat Canal or a new B&M would be going in, then yeah, I wouldn't mind really. What did it rank on Mitch's poll? 20's or something? I think its rating today is ridiculous. -JZ Edit: It was number 59. Don't know that I was thinking...maybe the Golden Tickets.
  16. I've been on: -IJST -Flight of Fear -Wicked Twister -Maverick -Aerosmith Coaster -Tower of Terror From strongest to weakest: -Maverick -ToT -FoF -Aerosmith -Wicked Twister -IJST I think you can only reach a certain point of a strong G during the launch because you need a long straight away to reach a certain speed ex: -ToT reaches 100mph because it's got a looonnngggg straight away -IJST has a very short launch track, and only goes 40mph. But crap, that IJST helix is awesome! -J "TTD Launch " Z
  17. Ejector air on Thunderhead? Hmm...I really hope to get down to Dollywood again soon. Thunderhead was a good woodie, but I didn't think it was what it hyped up to be. -J "Rumbler " Z
  18. Alright, guys....time for some videos! More to come of: -Lethal Weapon (SLC) -Batwing -Giant Drop -Cyclone -Tower of Terror Screen shot! 100_1115.zip Tower of Terror!
  19. I can already imagine bad things to come...If I vailed in there, Id seriously freak out. I like slides that only go down...unless you're in an open slide with magnets pushing you up -JZ
  20. Oh, I just thought it was hilarious and disgusting they offered such a massive drink. And I had to choose between White Castle and Wendy's since they were right next to each other. We were down town with Doug the Aussie and he wanted to get a taste of each, so I went to Wendy's and he got some White Castle. Sorry for the confusion. Hmm...must have lost the pic when I was cleaning up my albums...
  21. I think I've only had White Castle three times in my life. My last trip I think I walked in, saw the new one gallon drink.....and then walked out.
  22. Keep it up, Big Mike! I'm loving this trip report! -JZ
  23. My last coaster was....Tower of Terror, I believe. After that I think I rode Giant drop numerous times. Ah, I can't wait to get back to KI on FoF and Vortex. Oh and Drop Zone.
  24. Onto the trip to Dickey Beach! It's a town about 1.5 hours away from where I was staying. We went camping for two nights and had to go through some TOUGH weather. It absolutely down poured the first night, and luckily our tent didn't get flooded. BUT The top of the tent wasn't holding all the water out, so there was a light mist allll night. We hung out at the beach, had some drinks, went into town, and all around had an awsome time. It was the first 3 days I was there, and I thought to myself that these could be my best days in AU....and I think they were. Ah, public transportation. Why do you need a car? Here's our tent area with Emily and Macky. There were some permanant houses, but it's a cheap rent for a piece of land to set up your camping area. That could be unknown foam, spermwhale....yeah, or sting-ray poo. Who knows. It's disgusting. Though you may not have been there to see it...but this is king tide. The waves were MASSIVE. And no one was getting into the water today. This is a ship wreck on the beach, a big reason why there are small parts of the beach you can go in. It was really cool to see this. Aca-Deca plaque we saw in town. Rock on! I'm almost posotive it's a tank. This is a Golden Nob...or something....but they are a 8 out of 10 on the scare scale. Before we knew it, the trip was over and three days had gone by. Mmm....some Raspberry Fanta will cheer anyone up! A meal fit for Elissa. How many Ozzie burgers can you count? More reports to come soon! -JZ
