  1. Your TR's are always awesome, Jarmor! Can't wait for more of this cool park!
  2. Thought I think TTD is the biggest, best adrenaline rush I've had in my life so far, I think Maverick is better. It's my favorite coaster. Pure, all out insanity. Airtime here, inversion there, insane tight curve all over! I really wasn't thinking much of this ride, but holy poo poo, this ride is great.
  3. That's true, but if it's running with 2-3 trains with 32-36 people, the lines might be decant. And Firehawk had constant breakdowns, coupled with one train operations. When I had my Aussie student here for 5 weeks, it was closed every time we went up. I haven't been on a B&M hyper, so I wouldn't know the line flow. But for Raptor and Mantis, the lines are pretty much always moving.

  5. Ah, Screamscape. http://www.screamscape.com/html/kings_island.htm
  6. ^Yeah, definitely most intimidating. The 'scariest' part about it is wether or not ToT is going to come thundering up! If it does; the whole tower shakes and trembles. I had a few experiance with it: -When I was at the very top. I heard some screams and the tower started to shake. Man, I clung into the handle bars for my life! -Going up the tower and the car comes speeding by; it's pretty loud, and you think you're about to slap hands with the oncoming car! But the scariest experiance was when I was on ToT on the end row; we launched and started to incline back, going straight up. I look up into the sky and see the Giant Drop gondela freefalling back to earth; WHOOSH! It whizzes right down past us. And we're going about 80mph; and the gondela is coming down at what? 70mph? Wow, it's something you need to experiance to understand how close and how insane it is!
  7. It's a 400ft. tower. And I think the drop was about 390. You're as close as it gets to the top! But man, what incredible views, what an experiance.
  8. I think MF has some good airtime; especially on the first drop. The other hills have some nice floater air. I haven't been on as many coasters as you, but I think it's a great ride with some airtime. Maybe I'll agree with you some day, maybe not. You already saw I'm not a fanboy, but I like this coaster. We've already hade the same discussion about this ginzo. I'd appreciate it if we don't have to bring this up again. Until I go to IB, it's not changing my opinion. I think the rides are great. A fun stand up, invert; awesome acccellerator, impulse coaster; and Maverick! I don't think those are crap. SoB, Lethal Weapon, and Hurler are crap. Dude, that's your opinion. I didn't really ask for it. I'd really like it if you stopped trying to push your opnion over mine.
  9. Shock Drop at Beech Bend has the most intense drop I've been on. BUT the most insane drop ride I've been on; and my favorite drop ride is definitely Giant Drop at Dreamworld, Australia. It's 400ft tall and the airtime is really, really wierd on this one. When you first drop; you get some really nice airtime. Then it kinda goes into floater airtime, but as you hit the bottom, there's this bit of...like, extreme airtime; I can't really explain what happens!
  10. Well, when I'm at an AMUSEMENT park like Kings Island, Cedar Point, or Dreamworld; which are really known for rides and coasters; that's what I'm there for. I don't particularly stop for the shows. Now when I experienced a whole different THEME park like Movie World; where they had a few coasters and also focused on some other shows, well themed attractions, and rides; I stopped for them. I'm not going to some "Summer Dance on Ice" but you'd find me at "Police Academy Stunt Show". I do give credit for CF for putting in these shows because obviously there are people out there who go see them! But, that's not me. I haven't been to Alton Towers; but it sure does look beautiful! Now, CP's Frontiertail? I don't think that's a fair comparison. It looks like AT has a massive garden and historical place with all the castles and such. CP has more of a woodsy trail with some glass blowing/old school shops; his it was when it was founded. I think MF is well hidden by the trees in most parts; but some, you just can't hide it. Oh and CP took out a little bit of the Frontier and put in some coaster with some air, it's a pretty darn fun ride in my opinion. Again, I'd say I'm a ride guy. I love going to Cedar Point where there are countless rides. I'd still love to take a trip to a park like Busch Gardens, where it's got very well landscaped and themed areas of the park. I really enjoyed my time at Movie World; the and I'd prefer it over Dreamworld. And, there are people who really aren't into parks like CP; which I understand they go for the atmosphere and quality of the parks. But I'd prefer something like SFMM over Busch Gardens.
  11. Well, when you're that cramped on space in a booming theme park, you need to make some sacrfices. If you want to take a quiet nature walk, then go somewhere else. People come for rides and coasters. And as James said; I could care less where they put it! We need a good ride.
  12. Oh, I get what you're saying! The same thing happened at this ride called "Terror Canyon" in Wet 'n Wild AU. Went from a little stream of water to 8-10 inches! So many people did get flipped over; thankfully I didn't. Kersploosh!
  13. You can't say that ruined Frontierland. It just goes over the path! Plus, it's boxed off. Unless that whole area that IS MF used to be Frontierland...
  14. A certain someone keeps me updated with what's going on at Swan Lake, and it's pretty big. The lake is drained and the area is flattened. I'm told to go to the Eiffel Tower first thing; I bet there will be a lot of clearing back out there. Especially if we *are* getting what's rumored below in the infamous article.
  15. ^^ Dude, tell me about your Chas encounter! Hahaha.
  16. Yes, I'm interested to know how this hurts people...?
  17. ^How much does one cost? And how much do you think they would price it INSIDE Kings Island? Haha
  18. Shhh....James First update of 2008! Red Racer has be turned around! I'm really happy with the classicy feel and looks! BUT. Does this mean they took each red/blue train off from each side and put them to the right and left; so Red Racer = Right; Blue Racer = Left? Oh well, I like how this is going, it's a different ride kind of. And this is the second year in a row I've seen them do track work. Kudos for fixin' up Racer! -JZ A nice, classic look Now all it needs is paint. Trackwork is always good Who's ready for some....CINNABON?!?! " Hmm...it's like as big as a bean bag chair....do I sit in it or eat it? Well, maybe I can sit in it and eat it! Hmm...feels sticky without pants on..."
  19. Hey James, I think I can get out a ticket. Hmm...maybe you can hook me up with a trip to IB? Psh, that's not a rip off!
  20. Just by speculation, I think I can tell that SFMM has had a big turn around over the years. I remember hearing almost all bad things: -Psyclone -Garbage/dirtyness -One train ops -Closed rides -Rude ops -Lazy staff -Flashback just sitting there -The crappyness state of X -Need of paint-jobs Now, I hardly hear about those problems at all; two of them permantly out of mind. I'm really thrilled to hear about these problems going away. It looks like SFMM deserves to be treated as the golden crown of SF, and I really can't wait to check out the park next spring break! -JZ
  21. Ah, a year of Kings Island coverage! Who's ready for the 2008 season? I'm going to be there opening day, maybe meeting up with a few other guys from KI forums. Anyone else gonna be there and want to meet up? Let me know! -(P)KI ManJZ
  22. I like this Tornado
  23. Yes, what I was thinking aswell. I've had too many times where my battery ran out and I missed some AWESOME photo opporunities. Thanks! I'll look on ebay. -JZ
  24. As some of you man know, I lost my camera during the last leg of my trip to australia. Unfortunately, the Sydney airport was very uncooperative in helping me get it back. SO with a little bit of help from my Uncle and mom, I was surprised with a new camera yesterday! http://nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Product/Digital-SLR/25420/D40.html It's a Nikon D40. I was wondering if anyone else here uses one, or has used it - I'd love some tips, reviews on it! It would also be awesome to see some pics. Look foreward to a nice KI photo TR soon! -JZ
  25. Awesome TR, Big Mike! I'm loving every picture! I really hope to get up to SFGAdv. some time soon. Haha, the last picture is great! -JZ
