  3. I often wonder what makes people snap? One of my closest friends had a re-committment ceremony (after 25 years of marriage)...her wedding coordinator had a two year old daughter. A few weeks or so after the ceremony, the wedding coordinator along with her daughter were at the mall with the grandparents (the wedding coordinators mother and father, of course.) They had just seen a movie and were walking out of the theater which empties out onto the third floor of the mall which has its walkways acting as balconies around the outside so that the center of the mall is all open. The wedding coordinator received a phone call on her cell phone from her husband. She hears screams as she is walking and turns around to find her mother with both of her arms stretched out over the balcony and looking at her with a look of "so there," if you will. The mother had dropped her daughter over the balcony. The little girl died from extensive brain injuries, internal bleeding and blunt trauma later at the hospital in her father's arms. The trial is currently going on, almost a year later, which is why I am bringing this up. When the mother was asked why on the stand she stated that she was tired of being ignored and that she wanted to get back at the husband for taking her daughter away from her.
  4. Terra Nova...Big Bang...Happy Endings...Revenge...True Blood....Nurse Jackie...Intervention Most looking forward to American Horror Story...I hope Ryan Murphy can get back to the sick twisted sh*t he was able to do with Nip/Tuck on FX that he can't do with Glee on FOX...
  5. Stevie Nicks- for 63 years of age, all the cocaine she has done throughout her life, fat then thin then fat then confortable, I think she sounded BETTER than I have ever heard her sound....she is still a rockin...
  6. ^ SO TRUE about the t-shirts!!! You also might be a coaster nerd if you spend upwards of 700+ dollars on event/airfare/hotel/rental car JUST to hang out with other coaster nerds for one day.....
  7. Pepsi....at least two a day.
  8. I will not let the world end until Cedar Point puts up their 500 foot dive coaster into the tunnel under Lake Erie.... Personally I am looking forward to Verbolten, Leviathon, SkyRush, Superman Ultimate Flight, and X Flight the MOST but any new coaster I get all stomach achey like i ate too much sugar excited for....
  9. Zombies....awesome. I always enjoy Halloween season at BGW ..and then Christmastown is not that far off from there....peppermint hot chocolate...yum.
  10. The view alone will make it worth riding this!!!
  11. "before making a last-minute vertical flip to fit through a keyhole cut-out." AWESOME...
  12. Glad to see "the ghetto" getting SOMETHING!!! So now I will have one more thing to ride when I go the one time a year (the park is 20 minutes from my home) to get my SF season pass processed. Hey it's a coaster right? Sad to see the "skull" go....wasn't a bad water/flume.....too bad they couldn't somehow incorporate some of Apocalypse through the actual skull...

  14. Thanks for the pics...park looks charming, lots of trees. Looking forward to hitting it up on the NE trip.
  15. ^Ditto...it wood be nice to see something new (a ride) inside the park and not the waterpark for a change. I will keep my fingers crossed. It might give me a reason to go to the park more than once a season (to process my Six Flags Season Pass.)
  16. Personally, I am just glad and thankful that BGW is getting two new thrill rides in two consecutive years. I will take what I can get. Living close and having gone to this park every season numerous times since the park opened, I think the new rides are a step in the right direction. Just my opinion, but I would rather they put new in than take something existing out...AGAIN. I will be at the park the weekend of the 21rst but not Mach's opening on Memorial day...looking forward to hearing the opinions of those on this forum who do ride it...
  17. Thanks for the trip report. Great pics. Will be hitting the park Memorial Day weekend..looking forward to Ravine Flyer II...
  18. I would definitely be into it....would probably not be bringing anyone though....
  19. I hate to hear this about the Dania Beach Hurricane. It was a fun ride but I do remember when we were there riding it I was wondering "where IS everyone?" Really makes me mad when I hear this kind of news. Well I will just keep thinking good thoughts about it being bought not matter how bleak that situation may be......
  20. THANK YOU Robb for the great pics and POV...makes me even more excited for the Texas Giant Bash than I already was!!
  21. Mouse looks insane!! Thanks for the updates-pics-and vids!!
  22. Job wise: keeping the one I have (unless one that pays more comes along) Health wise: making it to 2012 Park/Rides wise: Timberliners on The Voyage, Cheetah Run, everything Potter, Black Diamond, Flying Turns (one can dream can't he?), I305 redo (although I personally had no problem with it in the first place,) a new ride at BGW, and GOING ON MY FIRST TPR TRIP!!!
  23. Great report and thanks for it!!!..the pics for Cheetah/Cheetaka/Shiitake Mushroom Run look great (especially the tower element.) It was great to just see pics of a place that is sunny with no snow on the ground....
  24. I just encountered SFMM for the first time this past November (went on Veterans day.) The park was relatively crowded and yes they were only running one train on MOST of the coasters with the exceptions of Viper, Tatsu, Goliath, and Batman if I remember correctly. I do believe we waited well over 2 hours for Riddler's Revenge. We did not get all of the credits we could possible so we went back on the upcoming Sunday (after doing Knotts, and the Disney Parks.) I did not fully understand WHY they were only running one train but figured perhaps it was the fact that it was a holiday. Look, I am from the east coast (DC) and my home park is Six Flags America with Six Flags Great Adventure a mere 3 hours away. It is SICKENING how those two parks have changed over the past years for the better. I won't even begin to tell you the horror stories encountered from employees letting riders on (small children) not tall enough to ride, people getting mugged in the bathrooms, the overall "I don't care" attitude",etc... NOW I ask "where am I" when I frequent these parks because the employees and the operations are so much improved from where they were. The reason I am saying all of this is that I certainly did NOT get the old east coast Six Flags feeling when I was at SFMM. I thought it was a great park. I hope for all of the west coast family that it was just a faulty day....
