  1. ^Usually I see the ET first but this time to ME it was the Windseeker tower only because it is something I hadn't noticed before since they topped it off. It was really brightly lit up at night though, when I went back passed the park, so you definitely knew what it was. Now it is pretty cool to have ET, Windseeker Tower, Drop Zone, and I305 all towering in the sky.
  2. Drove past KD over the weekend and with the Windseeker tower, the park has quite a number of tall structures to gawk at from interstate 95. (At night the Windseeker tower was lit.)
  3. Work, throw myself into work. I try to book at least one trip to someplace either warm or with something to do during the off-season. (Did throw in a Vegas trip in January for my barfday). Other than that I just up my happy pill dosage during the off season and keep thinking "it could be a lot worse, be thankful for what you have and for what is coming up."
  4. ^And as your offer for Adventure in another thread...you guys are more than welcome to crash if needed...I am only about 25 minutes from the park.
  5. ^Well let me know if you all do SFA, would love to join you.
  6. I really like the whole idea of being swallowed by the cobra's mouth. I go to Great Adventure every season but have never tried out their water park....until this upcoming season!!
  7. All the parks on the TPE Italy/Europe trip Kings Dominion Busch Gardens Six Flags over the Ghetto (SFA) Hersheypark Knoebels Dorney Cedar Point Conneaut Lake Idlewild Blackbeard's Cave Dutch Wonderland Fantasy Island Amusement Park Gillian's Funland Gillian's Wonderland Pier Jenkinson's Boardwalk Keansburg Lakemont Park Land of Make Believe Playland's Castaway Cove Sesame Place Storybook Land Canada's Wonderland Martin's Fantasy Island Six Flags Great America Rye Playland
  8. Just Sky Jumped this passed weekend (during the day) in Vegas....it was incredible... a great rush. The worst part was standing out on the ledge as they did their final hook ups. The views were amazing. I did have the wrist cam connected and I had wished I had controlled it more...I said something to it after I stepped off but then enjoyed the view so their isn't a lot of interesting footage after that. Next time I would like to try it at night as well. I would highly recommend it.
  9. Thanks for posting the great photos!! I went to SDC for the first time this past season and loved it. Hopefully I will be able to make it during the Christmas season sometime. I do totally agree with your comments concerning the Mine Restaurant...good food, buffet style in a cool setting.
  10. ^ Room is looking cool!! For my Christmas I had to work for a couple of hours in the morning (from home) and then I sat and watched some of the Coasters in the Raw vids I bought myself as an xmas present.
  11. Totally agree concerning Tremors. Re-rode the heck out of it on last visit and loved every minute of it. Glad to hear that the Cyclone will be receiving the topper treatment.
  12. Looks really cool, one could possibly get lost in the store alone. The place will definitely be an attraction I can see being featured on a show on the travel channel. Thanks for the great photos and interesting report Larry. Wild Bill looks like a man whose got some great stories to tell.
  13. Great TR Steve!! I will be there this upcoming weekend. Didn't really like the idea of them running Alpie (versus in the past Christmastowns running Griffon) but hey, it's a coaster to ride so I am not complaining. The lights are truly amazing and the peppermint fudge hot cocoa is a tad sinful. Looking forward to seeing the progress of Verbolten in person. Excellent pics, thanks for sharing.
  14. Anything Progressive Insurance related.
  15. Scooby Doo coaster at Kings Dominion...age 9.
  16. ^No Laura you are not. Although their Torpedo Rush slide and Hell Cat coaster are fun, they and the rest of the park is really not enough for me to make the drive for. We'll see what the future holds....
  17. Exciting!! Thanks for the pics, updates, etc....like the look of the 6 man proslide raft!!
  18. Yankee Cannonball, although I give major props to the landscaping around Untamed....the wood carvings of the bears and concept within the station was top notch. I am not really into flowers but they and their colors were really well done in my opinion.
  19. Great name....definitely fits the July 4th theme. Two newbie rides for the upcoming season, looking forward to it.
  20. Well, coaster season around these parts is over...time to hibernate for a few, gather some $$ and get ready for next season...c'mon 2012!!
  21. Finding a razor blade in your apple. What's worse than you not being able to make it on time for a loved ones death after you receive the "you had better get here" call?
  22. Love the "speed rivers" as well....Hubba Hubba Highway at Water Country USA is just about all we do when we go to visit, except for perhaps getting out to fill our souvenir cups with more Icee..... Great photos in the TR...the colors in the bird shots are amazing, thanks for posting them!!
  23. I tend to agree with the coincidence of the events taking place so close to one another and am saddened by the announcement. In my opinion, the loop section was the best part of the ride...and I am still trying to get over the change of the queue when the ride became a part of the Wizarding World of HP.
