  1. If you wanted to do Dollywood, you could also do SFOG...it's about 4 hours away with Lake Winnie in between.
  2. Granted, the sizing may not be just right, but it seems like Led Zeppelin would fit nicely in Chang's old spot.
  3. Oh why not? It's not like it would be the first park based on fairy tales and fantasy. Although, I don't know many people killing others in the name of Cinderella.
  4. I'm pretty sure cowboyjoe was being facetious and making fun of the general public. I don't think anyone here was really wondering. But, since this is your first post, you may not have been familiar with the general sense of humor of the board, or their knowledge of coasters...so it's ok.
  5. I've decided that you should go on all of the TRP trips and be the official reporter. Good job.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. Some of your pictures are amazing, National Geographic quality. I don't want it to end.
  7. I noticed most of the cats are standing and facing the left. So I tried drawing one seated and facing the right. Not much luck.
  8. I don't consider myself a "timid guest" and I think these things look pretty intimidating. Maybe not as bad as the Starflyers with chains supporting the seats, but still pretty scary looking.
  9. One of my facebook friends posted a link to this site. It's not a coaster or themepark site so I wasn't sure if any of you had seen it yet. There are some pretty cool (and creepy) pictures. MOD EDIT: Sorry, I have to delete the link and lock the thread. People were illegally on the site taking these pictures. Here's a quote from the creator of the website showing he knows his actions are questionable. Urban explorers first have to find a way into this forsaken park and then they risk their necks out of curiosity. In one case, after sneaking in and then back out, some of the explorers were handcuffed by the waiting cops and the film was destroyed.
  10. Bauhaus is actually very similar to what you were using on your previous versions (and what you are still using for the word "Club"). I think it's the kerning on your text that bothers me...the letters seem too far apart from one another most of the time. This is a good font resource too: http://www.fontyukle.com/
  11. Yeah..so a really long name would be troublesome with that layout If the name and nickname are moved flush left and all of the other information flush right, then you have the entire length of the card for the name. Like so:
  12. Thanks for the feedback. Here are two more versions...one with less of a shine on the colored ribbons, and one with just flat color. I agree that the shine on the original was a bit harsh...I think I prefer a bit of shine as opposed to solid color though.
  13. Another, very simplified attempt. As for Gadzoox font...I think it is basically just a personal preference. I don't personally like it because it seems unprofessional and outdated to me, but I also don't like Copperplate (the font that Chroniq mentioned) because it is overused. There are a lot of fonts that I don't like and that I try to avoid using, but sometimes you just have to do what the client (Robb and Elissa in this case) wants. If you like the font, Robb, that is all that matters.
  14. Just noticed the feedback. I redid this before I saw you didn't really care for the Stencil font (which I used to make it seem more backyard clubhouse like). I'll see what else I can come up with.
  15. ^^I noticed the large amount of gay enthusiasts before this poll ever existed though. Every event I have ever attended has always had a pretty big gay turnout...one ACE event seemed more like a Pride Festival. I understand what you are saying though. I probably would never have clicked on the topic and participated in the poll if I weren't gay myself, but I do see a correlation between the two.
  16. That IS confusing, because it makes no sense. It's like saying a certain percent of people have blue eyes, so when you zoom in and look at a particular type of people, for example hockey fans, the number will most likely go way up or down. That's not the case...the percentage should still be basically the same. But, for coaster enthusiasts, the percentage for gays does seem to go up. And his question was: Does anyone have a theory of why that is? Why is the percentage of gays and lesbians within the coaster community higher than the percentage present within other similar groups when, theortically, it should still be 10%.
