  1. I have enjoyed reading your Trip Reports...they have been some of the most well written ones that I have seen. That's all.
  2. I rode it a few times the season that Alpengeist opened. I was visiting a friend living in Norfolk at the time, and my Busch Gardens visit was on the day before I had to drive back to Kentucky. A few minutes after I got off of Drachen Fire, I noticed that my wallet was missing. I panicked. I had all of my money and credit cards in there. I figured it must have fallen out during the ride, since I remember having it before. I went back to the station and asked the attendants if anyone had found it. They said that they hadn't but that I could leave my contact information and they would call me if they found it in the ride after the park closed. I was bummed, because I was supposed to leave for home first thing in the morning. I asked if I could check around the station or in the trains. They let me, so I checked the next train coming in...and my wallet was sitting in the seat that I had been in. That train had gone through at least 3 cycles since I got off, and my wallet hadn't moved. Thankfully, the park was dead that day (A Tuesday in October...which I was surprised that they were open), and nobody had sat in the same seat. So, that's my Drachen Fire memory. It's forces were apparently strong enough to rip a wallet out of my pocket and hold it plastered to it's seat for 3 cycles...but I don't think I particularly enjoyed the ride...I think it gave me a headache.
  3. "Irregardless" "Unthaw" or "dethaw" and I hate air quotes.
  4. I'm as straight as my pubes.
  5. ^^If you've been with people of both genders by the time you are 14, I think you've made a decision. You've decided that you're a slut.
  6. ^^Definitely looks like a "Girls Night Out" to me. Perhaps you should rethink your point provers.
  7. I think Madonna's pseudo-British accent is genuine though...if that makes any sense. She primarily lives in the UK and her husband has an accent, so it probably just rubs off on her. We all probably pick up on the dialect of the people we are around most. But Mirna and Charla's accents don't sound anything like that of whatever country they are in...it's just a generic "foreign" accent.
  8. Although it's debateable whether or not it's a sport (although I do consider cheerleaders, especially Allstar cheerleaders, athletes)...these have to be the ugliest uniforms a cheerleader has ever worn: Mucho feo!
  9. The Bat was my first "big" coaster too, after The Beastie...although I was about 8, and I loved it....it got me hooked. I don't recall it being an unpopular ride, as Rob stated. In fact, I remember waiting for quite a long time to ride it, and almost chickening out a few times. Maybe by today's standards, The Bat wouldn't seem so amazing, but at the time, I thought it was incredible.
  10. Screamin Demon, The Bat, King Cobra, Drachen Fire, Hercules...I think that's it. I don't know whether to include StarChaser and Vampire from SFKK, since they just moved.
  11. The Bat...I only got to ride it once.
  12. Mmmmm....LaRosa's sauce. My boyfriend is from Cincinnati, and his mom sends us boxes of LaRosa's sauce every couple of months, because you can't buy it at the Kroger in Dallas (although you can buy Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce....weird). Now, if she'd only send Graeter's ice cream. Cincinnati has really good food (except Skyline...yuck!).
  13. Son of Beast and The Rattler...don't know which I hate more. The Texas Giant is rough too, but at least it's a bit more fun. <----My avatar is actually drawn from an image of the last stretch of the Giant (looking backwards).
  14. I'm 32. My first coaster was the Scooby Doo (aka Beastie, Fairly Odd Coaster) at KI...I remember riding the Racer too, but being terrified. The first full size coaster that I actually enjoyed and got me hooked was The Bat, at KI...I think I was 9 or 10.
  15. I know...that was the only part of the entire movie that I actually stereotypically covered my face with my hands and gasped. I liked Death Proof more, although both were great. Death Proof had kind of a slow build up and what seemed like unneccessary character development, but the last 20 minutes were awesome.
  16. So...about a year and a half ago, I noticed a patch of hair was missing from my dog's (Parker's) right rear leg. When I inspected it, I felt a lump. I then realized that his whole right rear leg was about twice the size of his left rear leg. I took him to the vet...fearing the worst...cancer. The vet did a took a syringe and withdrew whatever was in the lump. There were no cells...just a clear liquid (fat). She said it was a fatty tumor, which are common in dogs, and are basically untreatable. Some can be removed, but my dogs was so deep into his leg, that it would have left him unable to use his leg more than likely. Now, the lump is twice the size it was (about the size of a raquetball) and my dog keeps biting on it, like it is hurting him. He bites it until it bleeds, he doesn't eat as much as he used to, he can't run anymore, he spends alot of time in rooms by himself...he just seems unhappy. I'm afraid that I may have to have him put down...I feel I owe it to him. I don't want him to be miserable or get to the point where he can't move at all. He is only 11 years old, and Corgis generally live longer than that, but I think it might be time. Has anyone else had to go through this? It's killing me. I feel like an idiot, but I am actually crying as I write this. My dogs are my kids and I want to do the right thing. Parker
  17. Mr. Freeze at SFOT....I suppose. I don't really care for any of the coasters there.
  18. I hung out with Keith Strickland of the B-52s in Key West. He is good friends with a friend of mine that lives there, so we went out to eat and went to a karaoke bar with him. Suprisingly, he didn't want to sing Love Shack that night, even though he wrote it. He was really cool though and has aged really well.
  19. I hate fanny packs. I really hate them. They are disgusting and scream "supergeek". I have never worn one and I never will. If I can't fit it in my pocket, then I don't need it...and I especially don't need it in an unattractive canvas pouch dangling by my hip. And it seems that most people that wear them definitely don't need to draw any more attention to their already swollen hips. Really, how much crap does one need to carry with him/her at all times? Wouldn't a wallet in the back pocket and a couple of front pockets for you're chapstick, change, condoms, TicTacs, etc. suffice? Destroy all fanny packs!
  20. Yeti Ball was abducted by aliens. "Please save me!"
  21. Yeti Ball was in Dallas once. "C'mon Oswald...it's just a Yeti Ball."
  22. Who's Johnnie? "...she said, and smiled in her special way. "Johnnie", she said, "you know I love you". Please...somebody get my El DeBarge/Short Circuit reference.
  23. Dralion was my least favorite of the ones I've seen. It was all young Chinese acrobats. They were good, but it was alot of the same thing over and over. I've also seen "O" and Mystere in Vegas, Varekai on tour, and I happened to be in Montreal during one of it's numerous outdoor festivals and saw them perform there...that was probably the coolest, because we weren't expecting it.
