Christmas Candylane TR
Ccron10 replied to Ccron10's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I take that back for saying it was wierd then. After so many years of riding it, (most of them were with the ride running with 1 train) I guessed that the ride broke down at the time. Sorry for the confusion. -Chris -

Then I must've seen you while I was in line on the Xtreme Cup Challenge ride that day. Man this is ironic! -

But does it seem strange that I the monorail stopped in the middle of the ride? I don't think that the operator did it on purpose. -
Yesterday I went to Hersheypark and man was it a wierd day! I arrived around 2:00PM and rode Starship, the Carrousel, and the Scrambler, all had an approx. wait time of 0-5 minutes. Next was the Reese's Xtreme Cup challenge which was a 10 minute wait in the 2 people or more line. Then it was on to the Skyview and Fender Bender. When we got to the monorail it started getting strange. We got on the ride and at the section where the ride passes over the parking lot, right before the second station the ride stopped. The operator took out his walkie talkie (around this time I was thinking we were going to have to get out in a cherry-picker). A minute or two later the ride started up again and we got back to the loading station only to see the ride was closed. About 5 minutes later it was open again. -(EDIT)-meteornotes just cleared this part of the story up for me. See below for the explanation. Following that, we went on the Frontier Flyers which was a 10 min. wait and to the train, a 2 min. wait. Next was The Claw which I've never been on before. All I can say about it is airtime! I got back on Xtreme Cup challenge, but this time I got in the 1 person only line and boy it cuts time, it was a walk-on! In line I also had my first ACEer sighting, execpt the guy wasn't fat. Comet Hollow was next and the Wave Swinger was broken so I rode the Tilt-A-Whirl which was also a walk-on. To finish the day I the Kissing Tower and one last lap on the Claw. Pics will be coming soon. -Chris

Santa Kicked Out of WDW

Whoops! I forgot it mentioning that! Sorry! But, Derek is right. He could've said, "I'm his brother, (or something like that) but he's around here." -

The war on Christmas continues on. So what if a few people get offended by him dressing up and (or) looking like Santa Claus. To me, I think those few people have nothing better to do. The guy wasn't creating any violence, he was just at the park trying to enjoy his visit. -Chris "I hate this war on Christmas" Cronrath- -
New PortAventura masterplan (2006-13)

What's going to be the approximate cost and is there going to be a skyride to get around besides the train? -
I am almost out of ideas for this park! Someone please help me with some suggestions and remember to look at the park map. After looking at ECZenith's Northshore Resort, it gave me a couple ideas for a new RCT3 park. The only hints I'm going to give you is that it's tropical themed, it has a water park on an island, and there's going to be a lighthouse with an observation deck, elevator, and roto-drop in it. I'll set up a topic as more details come foreward. -Chris

What are your Christmas (or Holiday) Traditions?
Ccron10 replied to Ccron10's topic in Random, Random, Random
I am lucky to have a birthday extremely close to Christmas, even though everybody thinks I get a lot of presents which I don't! All that's on my list is a trip to Hersheypark, money, gift cards, and a video camera. On Dec. 24 I go to my family's Christmas party where I get some more gifts. Later (around 11:30PM) I go to church. The next morning I open gifts and later I have dinner with my grandmother and then I get forced to play a few games of UNO (I was forced to play this for nearly 5 years straight!). -Chris "UNOed out" Cronrath- -
Last weekend I took apart an old RC car I had to examine it's motor and I found out that it had gears on it to make it easier. I also found at a local hardware store, what I could use for a lift chain. Going by the measurements, the chain must be no bigger than 1/2" wide and it must have latches for the chain dogs. Right now I'm very happy to see my project is coming together. When it's all done, I hope to set it up at special events and raise donations for local causes. -Chris-

Hey! My friends who own a campground have that pinball game in their game room! -
I did all the way up to the top of the lift hill on the CAD drawing so far, which reminds me. I stopped drafting up at that point! It's no prob. I don't really need to do the drafting, I could come back to that later. This weekend, my goal is to get to the cross-over where the station is. Also, so far good voting! Right now I see that 34 members voted and that's almost about the number of votes in the semi-final voting! Keep it up!

Since I didn't see a topic with this, I thought it would be a good idea to talk about your traditions during the holiday season. You can put up your stories. I'll put up mine soon.

I think I actually know someone who's cousin is one of the caseholders. Goodluck, it seems like an easy game to earn a lot of money.

What weird thing happened to you today?
Ccron10 replied to jason10's topic in Random, Random, Random
Ever eat at a Crackel Barrel and see an Elvis impersonator? He had the Elvis hair doo and was wearing an leather jacket with pictures of Elvis all over it. Strange? You decide. P.S.- This happened last weekend. -
robbalvey wrote: I seriously don't get the complaint around the parking price. Yeah, it's expensive. But it's MUCH cheaper than parking at most sporting events, concerts or even spending a day at a big city. I think I paid like $20 to park in NYC for a couple of hours last time I was there. Parking is $15...big deal. Your lunch at the park will probably be more expensive. Deal with it. --Robb "Hell, it's $13 for a day of parking in our office complex!!!" Alvey You're right, I guess it could be a good value paying $7 or $8 bucks.
-
Correct my math knowlege is I'm wrong, but since it's 1000 to 2000 yen, then that would equal $1 to $2 in US money. Or is it $10 to $20?
-
Wow. $15 for parking, and I thought $7 or $8 at Hershey or Dorney was expensive! SFMM really needs to lower their parking prices, if there isn't that much security at the parking tolls, they are like sitting ducks for robbers. Also, don't dream on SF making their parking prices free, since they are a large corp. and are in debt, they need all the profits that they can make.

I am currently working on the model and I found that I will need to change the ride length slightly. The 2nd 90 degree banked helix ( right before the brake run) will be removed and replaced with a 90 degree banked turn. The turn right after the last dive loop that goes under the jojo roll and the tunnel will be removed. It will be replaced with the track soaring over the jojo roll and over the station. I also will make the lift 48 in. long and it go up at a 45 degree angle. But, besides that the project is going good so far. -Chris-
