Great TR. I kinda figured Libertyland's old corkscrew coaster was still there rotting (or should i say rusting) away. I really don't think the coaster is going to be built by the way that piece of track looks. -
-Knoebels -Open Flying Turns! It's been under construction for almost 2 years now and it's starting to be annoying. -Dorney Park -A new woodie to replace Hercules. The area in the overflow lot behind SF would be perfect. -More trash cans. jk. But the parking lot is terrible after the park closes even though there's always a trash can 10-15 feet away. -Lower the parking price. $10 is a bit steep; Hershey is $7 or $8 and is pretty fair. -Hersheypark -Bring back free candy samples after each ride on RXCC. -Open Midway America for STITP and CCL.

I know I was planning on creating a Custom Scenery set for my 2007 Hersheypark, but this set is going to be all new with updated scenery and a LOT of new stuff! I plan to include a lot of stuff that is in the actual park in this set like buildings, path covers, path objects, fake rides, signs, and a lot more. Below is a list that will be occasionally updated with what objects are currently being made. ______________________________________________________ -Ride Exit Gates: Completed -Great Bear Straightaway Arrow Pathcover: Being Planned _______________________________________________________ The first object I decided to make was the ride exit gates. These took about 3 or 4 days to design and finding pictures of them were a little hard. These aren't going to be actual ride exits, but they work perfectly with Vodhin's Invisible Ride Entrance and Exit Set. This object is done, but I need to fix the color options to allow the players to change the color of it. Once I fix it I'll add the newer pics to this post; for now here are the gates so far. Stay tuned for another update with the next object: the arrows on GB's straightaway.

The Peppermint Twist slides did seem cool, but too bad they had to be removed. I haven't been down to Water Country since 1995 when I was only 3 years old! I REALLY gotta get down there; I don't even remember my last trip. -

Wow, that sounds cool. That explains the longs straight section before the chain lift. Is this the first coaster to use this technology? -

I don't think the lift moves fast, but it seems to go at a normal lift speed about as fast as Sidewinder's. -

^Thanks. That was a great find! IMO the only slow part is on the first part of the Noreweigian loop. Center of the loop looks a little forceful. The cobra roll looks like it has enough spped to go through and it takes the corkscrews, turn and bunny hill very fast. Looks like a good piece of airtime there. -

The Bear is back..... This is probably the hardest coaster in the park to recreate and I've made it again. This time I made a few changes to the design from last time. -The lift hill is 45 degrees from the station. This allowed me to get closer to Comet Hollow and the first drop, but the section between the helix and drop is still long. The loop and immelmann fit perfectly and Skyview will easily fit in between them. The Wave Swinger foundation will need to be moved back a few squares so it won't fly over it. The creekside straightaway and corkscrew fit extremely well and once I add CS and scenery to the area around the ride, it will look like it's real-life counterpart. Also, I have 2 things that I'd like to announce... I have created a fansite for the project which includes updates, forums, news, stories, and teasers. http://hersheypark2008onrct3.tripod.com/ I also plan to start work on 2 pieces of CS; the ride exit doors and arrows in the section between GB's Immelmann and Loop. Stay Tuned for more news and updates! Minetown and Music Box Way coming up next! This part was too easy. Comet Hollow is starting to get it's feel. I may need to fix that loop a little. All that's missing in this shot is the loop framework for SDL and the Kissing Tower. The lift hill and part of the helix. You can see that I also made part of Coal Cracker. The station area. You can see the storage tracks and building foundation. That small concrete square in the queue will be the soaker fountain. -

^It's about 20 to 30 miles between each other. I see they kinda Hershey-ised the place a little. I haven't been to that place for 9 to 10 years! Great TR! -

Wow, I never thought of it that way. 10 Inversion and Fahrenheit look the same.... The same color, and the same inversions used. It's like looking at a different type of Fahrenheit. Maybe those rumors about an 11 inversion coaster were true in a way. I can't believe that nobody found this out in the 9 months we've been discussing the ride. -

I hardly would think Intamin would not have a fail-safe system for this. I think those skids on the bottom of the wheel casings have something to do with it. there's probably skid brakes at the base of the lift on that straight section. -

^Wow. I never thought of it that way. They could run one chain lift and have the other one turned off. And if the chain stops or the chain dog on one of the trains breaks, the other chain lift could catch it and still keep the train going up the lift hill and return it to the station where repairs could be made. I think that may be a new piece of lift hill technology in the roller coaster industry. I thought both chains would be running, but it sounds cool when you think about it. -

Awesome is all I can say. Somewhat off topic, but not really (I think): What is the reason why we can't make our own user titles? I agree. I don't really like my usertitle. I know I could ask Elissa to change it, but I never really got around to it and I don't really want one. -

^That does sound possible they were doing that. This is one of the first 3-car trains that uses a vertical lift hill and since there are no anti-rollbacks on the lift it looks like (which kinda suprises me), they could be checking to see if the chain dogs can hold for a long period of time in case of a problem. The webcam wasn't updated today, either. With the park opening tomorrow (wow. It feels like the off-season just started yesterday), we may know what really happened. -

^^I kinda agree with you. It looks like someone just photoshopped a crappy image of an alien on almost every picture of the site. Also, I think I remember hearing Elissa and a couple of other members say that the existing rides are in horrible condition and could never reopen. They did manage to move B:TR, but that was because it was built on higher ground than the other rides. Wipeout could be an easy ride to relocate to a different park (easier than B:TR), but it's been there for 3 years sitting there to rot. Finally, 1 years is a short amount of time to renovate the park, refurb. the rides, build the new rides, and open the park. I'll just join the forums and see what happens just for fun. So many plans, less than 1 year to accomplish. -

Wow. That was strange. I guess that wasn't the train. The park is already has lighting up for the path going back towards TF catering. You can see it on the webcam. EDIT: A guy posted this over at C-net earlier today: Maybe that was the train..... -

Sounds like this could be as great as or greater than Maverick. If it goes through the Norewegian Loop and cobra roll slow, then that could produce some excellent "hangtime" like on the flying snake dive on SR. -

Why would it take 4-5 months to install a portable flat ride?!?! Maybe they're getting this becauses they know Flying Turns won't be open most of the season so at least they'll have something new. My guess is it will open pretty damn soon! I'm thinking that they would need to clear the land depending on it's location. Pour the concrete for the base, and then get the queue line up. idk. Maybe I'm thinking that it would be how The Looper happened. It opened before the season closed and it was announced during the summer. I guess I should be happy that it could be open for when I go up in August. -

And it also seems like there will be a new Nantimi game for this attraction(s). CRR's future looks bleak, so get your last rides in before it's gone!
