  1. Looks like Knoebels is getting a flat ride for this season. http://www.knoebels.com/whats-new.asp I have no idea when it's planned to open or if it's already built, I'm going to take a guess and say it will open at or near the end of the season.
  2. I could just cry now. That is a beautiful sight.
  3. Apparently they did change something. http://www.hersheypark.com/entertainment/shows.php I saw advertisements for those shows from back at STITP. -Beyond the Dragon Gate (a modified version of Velocity). -Lightning Strike Also new are 2 strolling Bands: and The Summer Concert Line-up has been posted too.
  4. ^ I doubt that could happen after what happened at SFKK with the Superman Drop Tower. What company made the drop tower that HP supposedly owns? IMO I think this should be carried over to the 2009 HP thread.
  5. Intamin does still make Rapids rides so could CRR be getting a new layout, new theme and new boats? Or could there be a new ride that will interact with it? EDIT: That's strange, I doesn't load for me either. I wonder what they could be doing? Hersheypa doesn't seem to be loading either.
  6. So does this mean that they might do the same thing for the 2009 attraction that they did for Fahrenheit?
  7. Sounds like NANTIMI LIVES ON may be the answer. Great find! This would make sense since HP is going to announce the new attraction in July.
  8. Good point. I also found out that you can also spell LISTEN, LAST and SEAT.
  9. I found that you can spell SOLVE and (like natatomic said) NANTIMI at the same time, but that just leaves you with two N's left over, so that can't be it.
  10. ^^I don't see it. I do believe that this has to be the smartest advertising campaign a park has ever come up with to advertise a new ride. Go Hershey.
  11. ^^Yeah it could, but why would Minnesota have anything to do with The Boardwalk? I also just thought of something. If that missing letter is a U, You will be able to spell TSUNAMI. If you think back, the park "accidentally" released logos saying Tsunami. Which gets me thinking... Could this be the name of the possible new wave pool?
  12. I going to have to say it's a letter since there really isn't anything behind it except for the sky and it doesn't look like a part of track. EDIT: That's what I've said a few pages back about what this could be.
  13. I just saw this recently. That seems to be fun to ride around in, but I'd be afraid of it going too fast around a turn and falling off.
  14. ^^Woops. Forgot about that. Sorry! lol At least we know it could include NANTIMI in it.
  15. The trains in pic 10/14 look awesome and shiny. I found out that you can spell NANTIMI with the words, but that leaves VINEOS and the letter on the pic that we haven't got yet.
  16. So there's another Nantimi puzzle? Awesome. Here's my guesses on what it could be: 1. The new water attraction for 2009. 2. Who will be filling that 12 seat for the first ride. 3. Some park park-perk for the Nantimi 11. Let the puzzle fun begin all over again.
  17. There are a few more pics over at coasterdom. http://www.coasterdom.com/ This is going to be great in October!
  18. Yeah, I noticed that a while ago. it would make sense if there were 2 seprate motors, but it seems like it will run off of 1. The trains look awesome, but the seats show've been the color of the supports; they look too dark.
  19. I kinda was waiting for something like this to happen. OCC is a very popular company, TV show, and sells tons of different merchandise. I wonder if the cars will look like replica bikes that those guys have done before and I wonder what the chopper would look like that they are building for the park?
  20. Looks like Fahrenheit, Howler, and the Boardwalk might open up a little earlier this year. Screamscape: If so, then only 1 month until we experience Fahrenheit.
  21. Update #2 I've been working on this yesterday. For the first stage of re creating this park, I'm going to build the coasters first then the flat rides. I have Comet finally built and it looks better than before and I didn't even add the custom supports yet! I needed to stretch out the final turn around, but I made to hard to notice. A few things to note. Some of the park's rides are going to be custom scenery because of some of the diagonal angles used and to make it fit in the park better. A perfect example of this is Skyview. Since it's going to be added at a diagonal angle and a normal chairlift wouldn't fit, it would need to be CS. Stay tuned for more!
  22. ^Maybe somebody might be able to get pics. I'm just wondering what the trains will look like.
  23. That park map looks very bare. I can't wait to see what the park will add in the future. Even though the park didn't fully open up, you guys need to keep in mind that WDW and DL all had similar problems when they opened up. I'd give them a season to get the kinks out. Great TR.
  24. ^ it was very hard my first attempt, but since this is my 3rd, it has gotten easier. Expect a new update soon. Work on Comet Hollow has started.
  25. To prevent all the confusion of putting this in the old 2007 thread, I started this one. First it was Sweet.... Then it was Sweeter.... Get ready for the Sweetest Park Re-creation and getting Sweeter. -New Scenery - New layout -New coaster. Hersheypark 2008 Details on Fahrenheit and the park construction: I have Fahrenheit planned out and have three options to try and they will go in order... 1. I made a re-creation of the ride (which is in the Download Extras section) a few months ago using the extended coaster. The problem with this is that the lift will not be vertical, the track style will be all wrong and the trains will be different. 2. CS the ride! This could take a long time, but could be worth it! Doing this will result of a new set where you guys could create your own Intamin-style coaster! The problem would be it will not be a "ride". But you could add the Storm Runner trains to the station portion and transfer section. More about this when the time comes. 3. Use sections of random coaster track. I don't think this will look great and realistic, but it would be the last option (Plan C). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So far, progress is moving along nicely. The construction of the park will result in a number of stages. This post will be updated with the lastest news: As of May, 25, 2009 1.Landscaping/ Path Construction and Foundation Placing. 100% Completed. Finished 2.Ride Construction/ Support Construction. 90% Completed. Skyview and a few other kiddie rides need to be finished. 3. CS Building/ Ride Placement. 95%Completed 4. Shop/ Stall Placement 95% Completed. 5. Scenery and Finishing Touches 90% Completed Rhineland and a few small areas need to be finished. Stay Tuned...
