Bought my Platinum Pass today. Won't be able to visit the park until the weekend after opening. Anyone hear of updates to the I305 change?

I was going to post that I thought the track looked Premier-ish. When I looked up other Premier coasters I had trouble making a visual match with the track in these pics.

Am I missing something about Cyclone's 80th anniversary? Wasn't that in 2007?

The closest I get is that BGW is in my top 5. Kings Dominion doesn't even crack my top 10.

Ok. I had always done this using Ted's (Coasterfanatic) cheat guide but I decided to grow a pair and do it the Excel fast way this year. (Besides, Ted hasn't put his thing up yet ). It really wasn't that hard at all. I'm almost embarrassed I did it the other way the past few years. I liked Gwazi alright when I rode it--except for the fact that only the Lion side running. I guess this is even more cause for me to get back down there and get the Tiger side. On a related note, I rode Wildcat with the MF's this past September and I thought it was terrible. I'm someone who loves Grizzly so I was surprised by how much Wildcat's roughness affected me.

I rode Gwazi in November 2006 and liked it despite hearing how awful it was. Has it gotten much worse since then?

^I don't think so. They've offered to give refunds for donations. Other than make a lot of noise about something they weren't able to follow through on, they didn't do anything illegally, if not ethically.

They definitely put the cart before the horse and come off looking extremely naive. I don't think there was any malicious intent on these people's part. They're just a couple of fools.

Did I miss something????? I'm just assuming that they're going to pick up some cheap, used B&M...there's one less than 700 miles away! I seem to remember everyone giving the ride "ok", "fair", "it was pretty fun" type of reviews for the ride. I never rode it but could anyone describe why it was so mediocre? On paper and in pictures it looks like it should be at least a 7 or 8. Just wondering what it was lacking.

How necessary are these grants? Can the park operate without them? That's kind of worrisome if that's the case.

But it's the off-season! What else are we going to do?

Dragster is really busy during ERT.. My dad and a buddy only got 2 rides on it in that time frame Durring the same time though, Raptor was empty and i got to ride it 4 times without getting off! Mav in the morning is like a 1-2 train wait... MF shold be no more than that! Wicked Twister has no wait... Nor does Magnum... Maxair has about a one cycle wait... I might take that Friday off from work, drive from Richmond to Waldameer (and possibly Conneaut Lake), and spend Saturday and Sunday at Cedar Point. If I took that Monday off I might make my first trip to Kennywood as well. I guess my question is would I have to arrive right on the 3rd to be a part of Coastermania and should I look in to taking off Thursday and Friday. It's about a 9-10-hr drive from Richmond to Cedar Point. I could possibly hit one of the other parks on the way back. All 3 parks would be firsts for me.
