  1. Blasphemey! Just to throw you a bone, AquaTrax is a long-running TPR gag. Before Maverick was announced everyone was saying it was going to be an aquatrax.
  2. Because the ride's name is ambiguous and confusing to a good many people. I wouldn't be surprised to see a name change in the future. It's only confusing to people who think Busch Gardens would design a ride where you 'kill cheetahs'.. The name is more implicit in its confusion.

  4. Well, Cheetah Hunt did get some kind of record--BGT now has the longest coaster in Florida! (by 5 ft over Expedition Everest)
  5. Please, no. The rescued gray wolves in BGW's animal preserve probably agree.
  6. As has been mentioned, this announcement gets me really excited for whatever is announced for Williamsburg (me being somewhat local). A ride like this could use the terrain around BBW's former area very well. I guess I'll have to keep my eye open for some blueprint leaks over the next year Maybe BGW's will be called Wolf Hunt.
  7. I think the ride looks sweet and can't wait to try it out. There haven't been any specs posted yet, have there?
  8. Can I add that superfluous "b" to the end of my name?
  9. It says their goal is to receive $300K in donations. What do they plan to do with this? How is that going to be allocated? Is this a figure they drew from thin air?
  10. This list makes me think we need more Intamin Pre-fabs in the good ole US. I'm very impressed by the way!
  11. No offense, but you do. And so do the other nay-sayers.
  12. It sounds like all they've really done is postpone Big Dipper's demolition and lost a few bucks in the process. I wonder if her most recent statement was released when they realized that the information they had out there made this effort seem too grassroots-ish. Their intentions may have been noble but a little foolhardy. The steps she's talking about should have been done before she and New Zealand guy parted with any cash. This effort seems to have been built on the backs of lollipops, rainbows, and unicorns.
  13. ^Just because the parent company is the same doesn't mean that SFGAdv and SFA can't compete. Customer A lives an hour and a half a way from both parks and feels that his/her family can get more for their money by going to SFGAdv over SFA. That's money that's going directly to Great Adventure and contributes to the general performance of that park. They may both have "Six Flags" in their name but they're still separate entities with their own operating budgets. I've been to both parks and I know that I'm more likely to return to Great Adventure. That's still lost revenue for America.
  14. I think there's a mega-lite over there. That's probably reason enough.
  15. ^Maybe a trip to China will heal my scars?
  16. I'm skeptical. Hypersonic may have scarred me. I know that the feedback for PowderKeg is good but that has a totally different layout and does not reach speeds of other Thrust-Air coasters.
  17. Nice TR. Sorry we couldn't coordinate any type of meet-up but I had already done Dorney and SFGAdv. I also refused to try out Hershey on a Saturday based on the stories I'd heard about crowds. I've only been on 4 Batmans and SFoG's is my favorite as well!
  18. Comet at Hershey this past Sunday!
  19. I fall into the other category. I took Cheetah Chase off my list because I rode it when it was Wild Maus at BGW. To each his own. I count Rebel Yell and Rolling Thunder as 4 credits and there are some out there that would take issue with that. Anyway, looking forward to riding Green Lantern. I haven't ridden any of the 3 "big" B&M stand-ups so this should be fun!
  20. ^I was more thinking about rides to be built in the future. Think of how coaster technology could expand over the next 50 years. Think of all the possible coasters there could exist in the future that will put today's greats to shame.
  21. Ahhh---good times!!! Glad to see I wasn't the only who was "presenting" themselves on the Boogie Bahn. Also glad that no incriminating photos appeared in this report.
  22. It'll probably creep into the top 10 one of these days. I'm not going to argue with best coaster you've been on but to say it's the best you "ever will be on" tells me that you don't plan to travel much or that you don't expect to see live past the age of 15.
