  1. SFNE's Superman Ride Of Steel. The only recent coaster that broke records that made it into my top 10 was Millennium Force, but I still prefer SROS.
  2. They were teasing this on the news today, showing about 5 different SFNE Hurricane Harbor slides. They were only saying "Death at waterpark". I assumed it was SFNE because I didn't catch the story, but this clears it up.
  3. Having been to all the Six Flags (at least in the US), I can tell you there are MUCH WORSE SF parks out there. We only hit SFDL if we're on the way up to the falls, but they have Superman, and a nice collection of flat rides (if you're into them) A couple of the rare flats they have are a Huss Ranger and a Huss UFO. They're... OK rides, but I mainly needed the footage of them for a project. I agree with you though, that they definately need some kind of eye-catching coaster.
  4. I love Marineland, but the rides are spread so damn far apart. I don't mind the walking, but filling in that space would be a great thing. Did you get to go on Sky Screamer? That's definately my favorite S&S tower complex, great view of the falls. The Clifton Hill area is going to be greatly improved over the next couple of years. Another amusement park is going to built around the arcade/midway and an enclosed slide complex will be built onto the casino. If you like walk-through haunted houses, there's about a dozen scattered across the area.
  5. To me, Double Inverters make no sense. I have never seen one running both arms at one time.
  6. If WDW weren't getting Everest, Space Mountain would probably be getting the fix already. Did any of the actual layout change on DL's version?
  7. SFNE is my home park, I've loved it since it was Riverside, but I can see why some people hate it... If you catch the park on a bad day, just like any Six Flags park, you aren't going to have fun at all. The line cutting (attempts) are unusually high, and the overpriced food and drink which is really terrible to begin with, are enough to do it for some. Superman: ROS has been my favorite ride since it opened in 2000. It's just over 200' tall, I've been on at least a dozen coasters taller than Superman, but it didn't make them any better than Superman's unique layout. Did you not get a chance to ride it?
  8. XBox 360. I preordered mine last month, mainly for Halo 3 which doesn't come out till next year.
  9. The older season of that show was great. They did voiceovers of the show "Takeshi's Castle" and I agree that's the only thing that made it funny at all. By the first episode of the new season, they had changed the crap out of the show... All I remember is seeing a couple has-been US celebrities replacing the Takeshi's Castle footage, and then the TV went off.
  10. Does anyone know what the layout for this thing is yet? There's some pretty interesting pieces of track, hopefully it's more than just a top hat/camelback. The description made it sound pretty unique.
  11. Also, Santa Cruz Boardwalk has the new version of the classic round-up, it's their second newest ride, I believe.
  12. I think there are way too many diet Pepsi/Coke variations. They all suck. Cherry Coke's the only one I really like out of all of them.
  13. If you have an xbox gamertag, please post it below... mine's Violator513 if you ever want to go a few rounds in Halo 2.
  14. I've got a Tippmann 98 Custom. Haven't used it since I went to use the real thing. (Marine Reserves) When I was in high school, it was such a huge fad that all of a sudden died out. My cousin Nate Costa is pretty well known in the sport, at least around here.
  15. Motley Crue - Live Wire
  16. The town I was born in (Bristol, RI) has the country's biggest 4th parade. We go there every year, my girlfriend has a house on the parade route. It gets insanely crowded so having a house right there makes viewing the parade that much easier.
  17. That should of said "water splashdown", but even that's wrong. What are the different types of splashes this ride can make? Is there really a noticable difference between the three train's plumes of water?
  18. Just finished editing my Paramount Parks ride footage. Here's a couple flat rides. Delirium (Huss Giant Frisbee) http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2S4MLQ5VNSG0N1WFG31FLV2MEH Psyclone (Mondial Revolution) http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=161UR0DDA83VR2B5U2ZQUIWQCL
  19. PKI's Delirium is my favorite flat ride. Mondial's answer to the Huss giant frisbee (Revolution) is really great too. I've got a couple videos if you want to see em in action. Delirium (Huss Giant Frisbee) http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2S4MLQ5VNSG0N1WFG31FLV2MEH Psyclone (Mondial Revolution) http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=161UR0DDA83VR2B5U2ZQUIWQCL
  20. Interesting park, never even heard of that place. Reminds me so much of Edaville Railroad here in Mass.
  21. I just hope whatever the next ride is, it's original. I'm not really interested in the record-breaking aspect of their coasters so much as a fun ride.
  22. Yup, just went on Dorney's tilt-a-whirl a couple days ago, my girlfriend's a flat ride addict and we went on pretty much every one there. Edaville Railroad in Carver, Mass, and Morey's Piers in Wildwood, NJ both have tilt-a-whirls installed. (Morey's also has an Inverter) A ride similar to the roundup that can be found in the Northeast US is the Huss UFO. They have one at Canada's Wonderland and SF Darien Lake.
  23. There were too many complaints of the roughness of the coaster. An inversion (cutback) was removed after opening, but it still proved to be too much turbulence for the average joe.
