  1. At SFMM, it's usually the fact that the parking lot stays a parking lot after the coaster is added.
  2. I remember saying I felt bad for the Disorientorium staff, that shed was like a furnace! I feel even worse for the scareactors that had to work in Psycho Scareapy, with that lingering poo smell.
  3. I haven't been to AK since Kali River Rapids opened, and I won't go back until Everest opens. Hopefully they keep up this trend of adding new thrill rides.
  4. Amen to that. Besides, DCA does have a handful of what I would cosnider spectacular rides... TOT, California Screamin' which is probably the best launched Intamin coaster out there, and Grizzly Run is on par to be considered a 'mountain'. Wish we had a park like this in WDW.
  5. I can't wait to try this one out! Aren't there only 2 of these suspended top spins out there?
  6. Kingda Ka's camelback doesn't really produce any air. I'm not sure if it's the restraints or just the physics, it just makes Kingda Ka slightly better than Dragster. I only got to go on it once, but at least it was the front seat. Perhaps the back gives more air.
  7. I believe those videos are on one of my favorite sites... www.nogodforme.com That guy's got awesome videos of just about everything in Orlando.
  8. Yeah, you are right about Disorientorium. There's always that one fun-house style haunted house. I just found Horrors in Wax to be not scary... it was great in the beginning, and the facade was awesome, but halfway through, the theming seemed scattered, and it was just hard to tell what was going on. The Ghost Town house was really good from that year too, and it was fun seeing the old HHN icons in the Nightmares house.
  9. Good stuff, thanks for the update.
  10. BGT's Scorpion, Scwarzkopf silver arrow, single looping, full circuit coaster.
  11. Was the one at Movie Park any larger than Pitch Black? I thought it was fascinating that a completely darkened soundstage could be used as an attraction! It was really well done though, and you're right, very low budget. Pitch Black was my first larger haunted house, aside from the ones I had been to around New England. I remember having the HHN tee shirt that glowed in the dark, and people I didn't even know were grabbing onto the back of the shirt to get out! I had never seen so many truly scared people in one place before! That house was simple in that most people, if left in that kind of environment long enough, will be straight up scared! The walls you had to squeeze through were pretty freaky. Some of the walls and passageways were either wet, or covered in egg carton cardboard material. The actors scaring people inside usually jumped out after a strobe light wearing a glow mask and shaking a cain full of coins at you. The disturbing audio aided the creep factor really well too. More sensory houses!
  12. Revenge Of The Mummy (both at Hollywood and Orlando) were major Premier insallations as were both Paramount Italian Job Stunt Track coasters. Wish we had seen more of the Chiller style coasters on a grander scale.
  13. I hope they're not gonna have Horrors In wax again, probably the worst HHN house to date. They need another one like RUN!
  14. I've been on Storm Runner, Kingda Ka, and Dragster. I loved em all, but I agree, way too short.
  15. I've always hated the Superman theming of the Intamin hyper coasters. I think SROS at SFNE rethemed with a different, darker paint scheme would look perfect. The world's best coaster is one of three with the same name and boring red and blue colors. I really hope our Mind Eraser gets the red/yellow treatment!
  16. There's even one at Disney Sea in Tokyo... and they have JTTCOTE in the same park... guess they wouldn't mind doing the same here in the states, but with Dinosaur, it might be pushing it. I hope we see both arrive in Florida.
  17. That would be perfect for the park, here's hoping... Shouldn't be long until some kind of announcement.
  18. I think it will be S&S, as they have the rights to Arrow's fish-hook concept, which if mounted to the side of a building, can be over 1,000' tall. It's too bad Vegas didn't go through with the Stratosphere fish hook. I doubt another park would go for a record breaking Intamin rocket with the way they've been going. My hopes would be Intamin builds a 500' + Millennium Force style ride...
  19. Everyone I've heard from so far regarding Indiana Jones seems to think the show will in fact go for this ride to be put in. It's been there for a long time and it's a prime spot in the park, but I'll believe the whole idea of an Indiana Jones ride at WDW when I see it. IJ is my favorite movie series, I like the show a lot but one of those jeep rides would be fantastic... but a jeep ride at Disney Studios when Animal Kingdom has one next door? Maybe it won't be a jeep ride after all. This rumor's almost as tough to swallow as Animal Kingdom getting a version of Journey to The Center Of The Earth with Dinosaur a stone's throw away. Oh well, one can only hope.
  20. Finally it looks like Australia's getting a sweet Intamin. I have family down there that will be very happy with it.
  21. Sorry to hear about that incident, but at least he ended up at the white trash dump with the rest of them. Countless arguements have happened at SFNE including one bad one when I was cut (well they tried to cut) waiting for Time Warp. Not sure if I won that one... they only knew a few words in English and it probably wasn't learned by accident. The only physical altercation I ever got into was pushing someone the hell outta line for Tomb Raider at PKI. What part "Hell f*cking no, you're not getting in front of me after I waited an hour." don't you understand?
  22. Woah, Ultra Twister looks great in green and blue! The one that comes to mind for me is Riverside Cyclone to SFNE Cyclone. The first drop is dramatically neutered.
  23. Oh God those basketballs are a pet peeve of mine. Nothing like hearing 200 basketballs pound the scorching pavement for an hour and a half while you wait for Superman ride Of Steel. Or at Cedar Point... a group of pink-shirted 50 cent wanna bees decided it would be a good idea to attack a goose and its goslings with several basketballs. What the hell is wrong with people...
  24. Six Flags America Six Flags Darien Lake Six Flags New England Six Flags Great Adevnture Geuaga Lake Cedar Point Dorney Park Busch Gardens Tampa Busch Gardens Williamsburg Sea World (OH) Sea World (Orlando) Magic Kingdom Epcot Disney Studios Animal Kingdom Universal Studios, FL Islands Of Adventure Long Island Adventureland Morey's Wild Wheels Schellenger Pier Morey's 3rd Pier Dinosaur Beach Steel Pier Casino Pier Salisbury Beach Old Orchard Beach Edaville Railroad Lake Compounce Kennywood Kings Island Kings Dominion Canada's Wonderland Marineland Niagara Falls Midway (now defunct) I'm sure there's more, but that's good enough for now.
  25. Woah, this might finally be the one to dethrone Boulder Dash.
