  1. I've been to 3 HHN events (XI, XIII, XIV) and my favorite was XI back in 2001. They had 3 GREAT houses and a couple mediocre ones. Pitch Black was my favorite, a maze in complete darkness where you couldn't see your hand in front of you. RUN was a chain link fence maze where your party was split up deliberately, they were right behind the fence.. yet so far away. Scary Tales was also really good. Honorable mentions go to All Nite DrIvE In 2 years ago and Horro rNight Nightmares & Ghost Town last year. I hope this is the year they have the "extreme" upcharge Haunted house.
  2. It all depends on the announcement the ride ops say when the ride breaks down. They usually can tell if the ride will be down for a few minutes... or hours.
  3. Just out of curiosity Greg... why do you hate Tower OF Terror?
  4. I prefer Kingda Ka to Top Thrill Dragster. The height difference isn't too detectable but the speed hill after the vertical drop is pretty good. Also, as far as TTD being better because it's open more often... Kingda Ka hasn't even been open a year yet, and after the repairs it could very well have less overall downtime than Top Thrill Dragster.
  5. I'm another SFNE Superman fanboy. The SFA and SFDL versions don't even come close.
  6. I rode my first Skyscraper-type ride last week at the Brockton Fair (KMG Speed) and I loved it! I've seen other variations at fairs and parks.. how many different types of these rides actually exist and what are the differences? Which is the one that has three arms, I've seen this one in photos somehwere. Any help appreciated,
  7. I voted for Kingda Ka, I've been on all of those except Rita and Powder Keg.
  8. Sweet, I like how they announce the height as the ride moves up the tower.
  9. www.weeweeslap.com has some great parks.
  10. Dude... HOLY SHlT! Definately the best recreation I've ever seen!
  11. It was definately a movie that would make a great ride.
  12. Just went a couple days ago. Had to skip it entirely... the queue rails were full and the line was heading into the kiddy section. What's funny is I think at that point, Superman's line was better.
  13. Also... what seems to be missing from Both Busch Gardens that would go great in that park... a drop tower of some sort, in BGW's case, heavily themed.
  14. Use www.yousendit.com and drop the link here, Ive always wanted to see Acrophobia in action. I think the best drop tower I've been on was Drop Zone at PKI. I'm trying out PKD's version next month.
  15. Rammstein, if you don't mind scaring the kids. :?
  16. I was planning a trip to Cedar Point, and I'm debating if Amtrak would be a good option since they stop in Sandusky. How close is the park to that train station... and does anyone know of any other parks in general that are easily accessible by rail?
  17. If the trend keeps up, most likely another B&M. Gwazi at BGT was a shocker to me, I think a wooden terrain coaster would suit that park very nicely.
  18. They hit the nail right on the head with Millennium Force, that kind of quality ride for the next coaster would be perfect.
  19. I had to change so many of my video titles from Paramount's Canada Wonderland to Paramount Canada's Wonderland Of course I figured that out on like the 6th video file...
  20. Woah, I didn't even know CP sold those posters. I've got three coaster posters in my room... -The Dragster calendar poster from media day -Promo Medusa poster -Apollo's Chariot poster (they were selling these in the gift shop)
  21. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but yeah.... Say it twice it's ok, say it three times... you're playin' with it.
  22. RCDB is calling that inversion a Cobra Loop/Immelman (like the first inversion on Storm Runner) The artwork may be deceiving. (That's almost as bad as SFGADV's old park maps)
  23. Great news (especially for Roeterich) If you're looking for a great B&M in Germany, you gotta try Silver Star at Europa Park. I don't know why, but that coaster sticks out in my mind... oooooo.... shiny...
  24. I think inverted coasters are B&M's best. I hope this one has a unique layout. I kinda like the patriotic color scheme, kinda tacky... but original at least.
