  1. ^ Aww man, I hope so, that's such a good cencept. Geez, I'm doing it again... Every year I have to look at what HHN is getting and decide if it's worth flying down there again or maybe going somewhere different, but between the return of Run and Die In alone, plus the fact that I haven't been on Expedition Everest yet, means I'm most likely going to be there this October.
  2. I'm not surprised, that thing is definately a prototype that will have its share of little tweaks before it's able to open. Hopefully we see more of these once it gets going, this coaster looks pretty interesting, especially the suspension-bridge-like structure.
  3. I agree, Busch usually pics a "fancier" word for a beast on it's B&Ms and then most of the time a mythological creature. Given the rumored color scheme and location I am interested to know what they plan on calling this thing, but it's obvious they're going with the "bird of prey" theme again for the new dive machine.
  4. Yeah. that rumors been going around for a while, and it would make sense given the relationship between IOA/Port Aventura and B&M, but its been going around so long I find it hard to believe. They probably won't get a new thrill ride for quite some time as everyone seems to be satisfied with what they have now. If it were themed properly, which IOA is known for, a B&M flyer would be awesome in that area... If it were more like Tatsu and not Superman.
  5. In your RCt3 folder theres a folder called Style, and then inside there is Themed. You place them there. This park will require... Steelworx M31 Hangar Screamworx Timber Frames Leftovers Wild Soaked
  6. Hehehhee, cute. You do know Robb will now have to crush you with a better video game... By the way, welcome to TPR, didn't realize you were like brand new.
  7. Awesome, thanks for the help. So that'll be two spinouts for me with the one at Wildwood that I assume is still there.
  8. Geez, what is that dead thing? It looks like it could be a rat but more like a guinea pig... how random.
  9. K, I've got my final plan of attack for my NJ trip... 7-17: Drive down to Wildwood, NJ 7-18: Atlantic City & Ocean City 7-19: Seaside Heights 7-20: Six Flags Great Adventure, drive home Can someone get me a list of what coasters are on the jersey shore piers? They change like the wind. Also, what's the status of the GADV coasters? IS either side of Chiller up? Is KK back up, and how has El Toro been as far as wait times and downtime? Thanks for any help!
  10. About Catapult and Slammer... I know when Catapult was rebuilt at SFNE it had new parts including a new electrical system, and also received new parts when it was having problems at the beginning of the season. This may have helped out with getting rid of the problems that Slammer has, but I've never experienced the ride as 'Swat' at Astroworld.
  11. It would be much easier for me to go to Florida in September but I'm debating whether or not it will be worth it to hit this year's horror nights. I haven't even been on Everest yet... Normally I would say I think it's lame that this would be my third year that had screamhouse, and I'm surprised they're doing a lot of repeat houses... But just the fact that they're bringing "Run!" back, which is IMO one of their best haunted houses, I'm looking forward to possibly making this my 5th horror nights event. I think this year I'll finally check out Howl O Scream too... Sean :: should've brought back Pitch Black:: Costa
  12. PGA-this coaster is rumored to have wider, floorless trains so that would mix it up a bit, but they are just rumors. SheiKra broke into my top 10 last year so if this is a dive machine I'll be very grateful, especially one with a unique layout.
  13. OOps, hope the park takes care of the bill now...
  14. Yes, Proslide Tornados are pretty fun, I just went on one today at SFNE. Hopefully they'll allow the single tubes, I think they make the ride better than the cloverleafs. Speaking of which, that 4 bowl slide complex looks awesome, I'm glad they seem to be getting good water rides.
  15. I had no idea we had something that cool-so close. I should check it out someday.
  16. Must've went on a bad night... I agree, it was weird where they set up Speed this year, tucked away into a corner near the race track. Last year it was set right near the midway entrance and from what I saw got a lot more riders. My girl's obsessed with this ride, and was the reason why it was going around at all that night. She took a ton of ictures which I'll post here once she gets me the memory stick.
  17. ^This year my girlfriend and I got like 3 passes in each direction, could have used a few more...
  18. I went last Thursday (wristband day) and ended up not getting a wristband at all, or riding anything except Speed for that matter. 10 dollars isn't all that much for this awesome ride, when I've seen similar rides charge over 20. The lines were huge, and my beloved Tango was missing this year... oh well. EDIT: Also, the Big E USED to have an awesome lineup when it had the Enterprise, the Moser Top Star Tour (G Force), Crazy Flip, Drop Of Fear, Mark 1 etc. but sadly it seems every year the number of good rides just gets thinner.
  19. Goleafs-yeah, unfortunately I had to use my other photos as to take them today would be a waste of time. It was smoggy, rainy, humid allllll day. And about Catapult, I didn't think it felt too bad at all. It's kind of weird how the restraints are always pushing down to get that last bit of space, and I did feel the shoulder restraint slighly move upward once but as long as you're braced the right way it's a great ride with no shakiness or discomfort. I can't believe you would call that S&S crap! I haven't seen a bad ride from S&S yet.
  20. My friends from work Mike and Eric and myself went to SFNE today, knowing well it was going to be rainy. We all had the day off so some coasters and waterpark insanity were in order... We had originally wanted to be there for opening at 10 am but got delayed and ended up arriving around 11:30. It was already raining lightly and the skies looked pretty gray... but the parking lot looked pretty empty compared to last month's visit. Don't you just hate it when you're about 10 feet from the parking lot tram and the dude just drives off? I hate the fact you have to park across the street to get to the park, but maybe someday something big will pop up in the old parking lot. The ride closure sign listed the following as closed: Pandemonium, Skycoaster, Twister, and Flashback but it turns out Pandemonium was up and running all day, and delivering good rides (more on that later) We spent most of the time in Hurricane Harbor, it was pouring out but very humid and hot so we took advantage of the emptiness of the place. I finally got a ride on the Typhoon "water coaster" and I can say its one of the best waterslides I've ever been on, right up there with Summit Plummet. We went around the lazy river for about a half hour and chilled in the waveless pool (looks like they were having problems with the wave machines) Hurricane Harbor's got an awesome pool area right near the front with waterfalls and fountains and aerial walkways that lead to some attached waterslides. This waterpark is so nicely done and I can't believe it's still free, I have a feeling it won't stay that way for long though... I'm going to repost some pictures from my last visit as today was very dreary and not suitable for taking photos, I just like using this format... Going vertical... that's all folks. Really disorienting feeling on the S&S Sky Swatter - Catapult. WOW, as usual. This giant flat really does it for me. No need for q-bot as it never has a huge line, alot people gather at the bottom to just watch it in fear keeping the line nice and short. Cyclone was down for maintenance a couple times today. Pandemonium was spinning REALLY fast today, the most its ever spun for me. Pandemonium had an hour long line so we slayed it with the power q-bot. I love the inversions on this ride, especially the vert loop and the zero-g roll. After Mind Eraser (which was actually running not too badly and with two trains) we hit the little Beemer - Batman the Dark Knight which is apparently being changed to Batman the Ride due to signing and q-bot display... or not? This ride doesn't really get you wet AT ALL unless someone is using the evil water cannons. We got plenty wet due to the fact that it was pouring out all day. After some Papa John's which is actually worth the money... we q-botted our way through the massive line of Splashwater Falls. The red train was put on at about 3:00 pm and cut the line down dramatically as usual. Superman was the first ride of the day and as soon as we got to it, we realized it would be wise to get a q-bot as the line was 150 minutes and they were only running the blue train.
  21. 7-12-06 Update I have added a skyride to take peeps up to the top of Arcadia Peak, there is also a new path running parallel with the skyride that leads to the top. The top of the mountain will have a mining town complete with a heavily themed wooden terrain coaster as well as flat rides and a water ride. This is the other side of the tunnel that leads to the Native American themed area (home of "The Vision") This area will be worked on next and will have a themed log flume. More trees and detailing were added to the Deadwood Inn area. "Gyro" swings high above the midway. The completed midway and Tempest area. Arcadia Peak Skyride
  22. And it's pronounced "Gooey duck?" How much weirder does this get? Sean ::we have enough "quahogs" here in RI:: Costa
  23. Vert loops, but like he said, there are some really good ones like Kumba, Dominator, Alpengeist, etc... Also, any Schwarzkopf vert loop is awesome.
  24. Looks like there's still a couple of other parks to cover before the NAMEDELETED Park update.
  25. My favorites are also Splash Mountain (like both coast's versions pretty much the same) and Dudley for it's drop with "airtime" hill. if we were to exclude these, the following would be my favorites... 1) SF Magic Mountain's log flume Ride this one at night, when the line is long and the course is nearly pitch black. It's surprisingly long, and at one point you get some views of tatsu you can't see anywhere else in the park. 2) Zoom Phloom at Morey's Piers, Wildwood, NJ I'm surprised no-one else has mentioned this one. Zoom Phloom is another really long flume that features under-the-boardwalk sections and a couple of really nice drops. I pretty much love this one for it's location right on the beach.
