  1. I rode it last season and it made Psyclone seem like the smoothest ride on the planet. My dead last placing coaster, right behind its father, the Beast!!!! Chris.
  2. Random off topic comment, but I was at Applebees in Alhambra, CA yesterday and as you may or may not know, the waiters all have to wear this little tag that states who their hero is. Well, one of them said 'BIG MIKE.' Coincidence? Chris.
  3. ^^ That would be fantastic! Like an improv anywhere stunt, just get like 500 people to go to the park and strip down to their speedos at a set time. Thats GREAT!!! Chris.
  4. ^Ok, so if SkyJump in Aukland is $123USD, and Manhattan Express is $20, that means that the SkyJump at the Stratosphere should cost around $750 per jump! No but really, based on that number, I would expect the Vegas experience to be around $100, as I have heard that activities in New Zealand are quite expensive. Chris.
  5. ^^^You shouldn't change. You should keep showing up at the park rockin the Speedo's and take it up with park management the next time there is an issue. See if you can get some friends to support you. Don't be rude and aggressive about it, but you should not let it keep you from going to the park. Chris.
  6. I count my coasters based on whether or not they are in the RCDB. This seems to rule out carnival rides, but I do count two for twin tracks (S:TE, and Colossus for example). RCDB counts the Wacky Soap Box Racers at KBF, but strangely, I dont think I want to count it as four. Does anybody else count them? Or the Steeplechase at Blackpool? Chris.
  7. Ok REAL lame question here, but Ill spit it out anyway: Who counts Carnival Coasters as credits? Like, If I rode a Hi Miler at the LA County Fair, then one at the SD Fair, is it two credits, one, or zero? I just thought I would finally nerd up and get an accurate count going. Chris.
  8. My guess is that it was a Valuable Big Mike Reader Chris.
  9. ^That is a funny point. I know so many people that wont ride roller coasters because of that movie. Yet they still fly and drive across train tracks. Chris.
  10. Mmmm, I think you should have been able to wear the Speedos. Some parks even require it! If girls can run around in a two piece, a man can wear a speedo. What if I complained that every female in the park offended me because I can see their boobs? Would they kick them out? NEWS FLASH: Men have junk. lol. Chris.
  11. ^On the Psyclone note, I don't recall the exact wait time, but I do remember waiting in a line that started between Roaring Rapids' entrance and exit. In those days, it also went through what is presently the Deja Vu queue, and finally up to the station. The ride was brand new, I was young, and my parents said 'ok kids, one more ride.' That was the plan though, to wait in the longest line in the park when it was our last ride, that way it did not really matter how long we waited. ANYWAY, back then, I remember Psyclone being... well, good? I dunno??? Long line though. Chris.
  12. You guys are watching so much more Yo Gabba Gabba than I am, that I am jealous of not being on this trip! Chris.
  13. Actually, the Soarin at WDW is an 'exact copy' of the one out here on the west coast!!! Chris.
  14. Wow Mike, any plans for the big "800????????????" Chris.
  15. Congrats on 3 months mr 3 gay months is like, almost one straight year !!!! hahaha... We like things in supersonic high speed..... chris.
  16. Hey, nice PTR!!! New, different shots of the park as opposed to the same ol same ol... Chris.
  17. ^ Also remember that there is a cutoff for those who have tickets to pay for them. Robb will release those tickets near the day of the event, so keep an eye out for them. I have no doubt that they will be scooped up within hours of being posted!!! Chris.
  18. While on the subject I thought you would find this interesting. There is a Kosher vending machine in circulation now that makes food 24/6. Thats right, the machine does not operate on Sundays:) http://koshervendingindustries.com/ Chris.
  19. Hey Big Mike, So I am visiting San Diego and I happened to notice a backyard coaster. Now that we all know you will 'go there' for credits, I thought I would give it a mention. It's in El Cajon off of the Lake Jennings exit off the 8. Well I did some research and the guy calls his backyard "Marshall Scotty's Playland" and its even noted on Google Maps!!! I don't think it is open anymore, couldnt find a website on it, but if I can count on anybody to get the credit, it is you. So now you know. EDIT: After more research, looks like you will never get this credit. But I'll leave the post here if anybody wants to go look up more information on their own. Chris.
  20. 13/20 I kept putting the same wrong answer lol Chris.
  21. The demographics of the park is something that we deal with everywhere. I am all for having more security cameras actually watching the areas and PROSECUTING the vandals. Without a consequence, once people see one act of vandalism, it will encourage more to occur. We see the vandalism everywhere, I am an avid hiker in the Los Angeles area. There is nothing worse than hiking miles into the mountains only to see "Brian" or something spraypainted on a rock in the middle of the wilderness. Hopefully Brian is sleeping well knowing that all the local birds and ants are familiar with his name. I, for one, am ready and willing to report ANY vandalism or wrongdoing that I see. Without the support of good people at the parks, we will continue to see this defacing of property. We cannot be afraid of these people. Of course, besides the damaged speaker, wouldn't the vandalism contribute to the post-apocalyptic themeing???? (I am TOTALLY kidding!). Chris.
  22. I personally don't think a coaster would look good in Tidal Wave's spot. That would make 3 coasters all piled up in that area, and I think they risk looking too Knotts-ish. There are plenty of other open spaces in the park for a coaster besides that spot. I like the splash battle comments or just...something else right there. Chris.
  23. ^ I agree. I cringe whenever somebody mentions this 'Single Rider' nonsense. If there is no clearly marked line for it, it doesn't exist!!!! Simple enough, at least I think... Chris.
