  1. Because of the small size and somewhat boring looking layout I really wasn't expecting much from this ride (Although I have never been on a ride anything like this, so I didn't have anything to compare it to) but in the video, the ride looks pretty sweet. The bridge flying over the highway will be a great visual effect both on the ride and driving under it, although I hope they don't put the covering over the bridge that was in the video and keep it open like in the concept art, but they probably will have the covering for some reason I didn't bother to think about.
  2. Right as the off season begins it is the worst for me, after that I really lose interest in coasters. I visit TPR and look at construction updates, but I am pretty patient waiting for the next season. I play alot of video games, and alot of huge titles are released during the holiday season, so that helps occupy my interest I guess.
  3. I don't understand why they didn't put trains on instead of single cars. Even with the two MCBRs, the capacity is going to suck. Although since it isn't really a major theme park maybe the capacity makes more sense. And it actually can shift more people in an hour than Fahrenheit can.
  4. Screamscape recently put out a wild rumor that Silverwood in Idaho may have purchased one of the Deja Vu coasters, most likely the one from Six Flags Great America.
  5. No, Matterhorn was the first steel with tubular rails and started the popularity of major steel coasters. There were steel coasters well before that used sqaure rails, such Bradley and Kaye kiddie coasters like SFMM's Goliath Jr.
  6. Arrow never quite got it to work right, and the trains were too heavy. They continued to tweak it, and majorly decreased the weight, but went bankrupt before they could sell one.
  7. That helix looks pretty crazy, but only because it looks like there isn't are just barely is clearence for the trains, so end seat riders on the side closest the ground will be insanely closs to both the ground and the supports.
  8. CGA has Drop Zone which is well over 200 feet tall. I think that they have lenient height restrictions enough that they can build a hyper. Wether they have the space or not is the problem, but alot of that could be solved with a unique lift system (Vertical lift, elevator lift, maybe even just a 45 degree lift). And if they did put in a hyper, they could advertise it as the biggest in Northern California, which would probably be a pretty good gimmick to draw in the general public.
  9. If you want a prototype, supposedly S&S is installing their first "El Loco" model (Basically a wild mouse type ride performing strange manuevers like inverse 90 degree banked turns) next year at a US park. I have no idea exactly where though.
  10. Wow, that layout looks amazing... Very big and long. I like the low to the ground twists after the first drop too, reminds me of Troy.
  11. He transformed into a strange world full of ice sculpters of defunct Arrow looping coasters. Suddenly out of nowhere, a crack team of coathanger robots rebelled against Ron Toomer because...
  12. They appear to be part of the Vekoma booth, and don't look right for the mine train, so I am guessing they are for the kiddie coaster.
  13. Great photos RonLaan! I hope the supports will be something a little more vibrant than the track though, otherwise it will be a pretty dull looking coaster.
  14. I believe that SFMM got one of SFGam's Shockwave trains when it got scrapped, and SFGAdv got the other two trains.
  15. Operating since 1961 Only one coaster For sale for just over 2.5 million canadian dollars I'm not too late am I?
  16. Some people count the Dragon Coaster as a credit... RCDB does. EDIT: Uh, Vekoma, that link is something completly different than this
  17. I think this might have been done before, but I'm too lazy to go check. Is it Canobie Lake Park?
